You haven't really been to the Point No Point Light Station until you've spent the night there. We recently booked two nights at the Keeper Maggs House adjacent to the lighthouse keeper's duplex. The small, one-bedroom cottage is well equipped and immaculate. The bed was dreamily comfortable. And, when the sun goes down, everyone else leaves! Can it possibly get any quieter than just two people walking the beach all alone? Watching shipping traffic over breakfast is a nice way to start the day. But it only begins there (as it should). The sandy beach is a front-row seat to some of the best birding in Puget Sound. Rhinocerous Auklets, thousands of Bonaparte's Gulls, Parasitic Jaegers, a Peregrine Falcon, Belted Kingfishers, tons of songbirds and waders in the adjacent marsh. Marsh? Yes! While the front windows overlook the beach and Whidbey Island, the rear of this charming cottage overlooks a fabulous wetland, backed by a forested ridge. There's a short hiking trail (90 stairs) and endless beach walking. What it has: A small library (lots of best-seller thrillers, and surprisingly short on natural or cultural history volumes), wi fi, a television, a fantastic tangle of wild blackberries out back, a very serviceable kitchen, great views, off-street parking and quiet-quiet-quiet. What it does not have: Annoying neighbors, flashy attractions, anything tension-inducing. At night, the only human-produced light is the triple flash from the neighboring beacon. Be prepared to bring your own groceries, because the small store and cafe in nearby Hansville has limited options (but an ample supply of cold adult beverages). Check out the nearby home, crafted from the bridge of a 1943 tug!

What a beautiful park!! Not large at all, but plenty to see. Great, quiet area surrounds the area. Sign says a whale watching area, but we didn't see anything. Worth the drive!!

I love this place! Whenever I need to feel centered and close to nature this is my go to place! It's peaceful and serene.

The Point No Point Lighthouse, built in 1879, is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Puget Sound. It helped ships navigate around one of the last points on the peninsula before they reached Seattle. The point narrows substantially at the tip and is surrounded by steep drop-offs. This makes it a great place to fish because there is access to deep water from shore, regardless of the tides. There were many fishermen here even though it wasn't the Fall salmon season yet. It looked like a great fishing spot, but it did not look feasible for water sports. The geography of the point created a washing machine-like tide movement that was throwing distance from shore. I would not venture out there unless I understood the tides and was comfortable being pushed out to the middle of the Puget Sound. The point is also a great spot for views of the Puget Sound. There are 270 degree views of the Sound to watch ships, natural landscape, and - although we didn't see any - whales, if you are lucky and there at the right time of year.

Visited the lighthouse yesterday, with the clear skies it was a great day to visit. Amazing views from the beach can be had here. A great place for a long leisurely stroll. If you have a dog, i would advise bringing him/her. We observed lots of families with their pets playing along the shoreline. A few picnic tables are available near the free parking area. Bathrooms are available as well.

This is a beautiful beach and lighthouse. We see a lot of Seals and we have also seen Orcas. Be sure to stay till sunset. The views are amazing!

One of my favorite places to go with the family. We have always been there when it wasn't crowded, so parking wasn't an issue. Amazing views!! The girls love collecting shells, building sand castles, and flying their kites. There are these cool driftwood huts that various people have built. Twice now we have seen seals playing very close to shore for at least 45 minutes at a time. The dogs love it here, definitely a great place for a picnic!

I love this place. It has a nice long beach, a small lighthouse, and views of Whidby Island, Mt. Rainier and boat traffic. Not much nearby parking so on nice days try to get there early.

Innis Arden is not a gated community, something the abundant non-resident walkers, runners,…read morecyclists, and drivers passing through can attest to. It is a community with covenants and by-laws that seek to protect and preserve the land and nature of Innis Arden, yes there are even rules about cutting down/not cutting down trees. My family moved to Innis Arden in 1994, I lived here full-time until 2010, then intermittently 2010-2012, briefly again in 2015, returned full-time in October/November 2019 and am still living here. In total this comes out to a total of approximately 18 years of my almost 28.5 years of being alive that I have lived here in Innis Arden. Zoomed out, Innis Arden is a neighborhood in the City of Shoreline. This is not to be confused with the City of Seattle because as a registered voter living here in Innis Arden I am not given the right to vote for City of Seattle ballot items such as the Mayor of Seattle. The Innis Arden community has a pool that serves the residents of Innis Arden and their guests as well as people who live outside the community and attain membership. The waitlist to be a member at the pool can be long, something to keep in mind if interested in getting a pool membership. There is also a Tennis Club and a Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is the venue for the annual Rummage Sale. There is a trail system for residents of the Innis Arden community and their guests as well as a nature reserve. I love living here and the nature-centric lifestyle it entails. It brings joy to my life getting to be a steward to the Earth and its inhabitants, both human and non-human alike, especially when I can do so in the yard. The natural landscapes and wildlife Innis Arden has worked hard for decades to preserve is becoming scarcer in the City of Seattle. Living here for me provides a chance to fight for the little critters and big trees and everything in between as Seattle's urban sprawl continues to threaten much of the greenery in the eastern Puget Sound area.

Overall, in the state where aviation is one of the major industries, there are better, more professional, and cost efficient companies and small businesses. Try them. I worked in Costumer Service for 30 years, and believe me it's HARD, especially during and after COVID. IMHO employees ACT like this under really bad mangers and management. Miserable employees treat customers with no kindness, no joy. My advice to management is FIX yourselves and the employee will follow. 'Nuf said! Best of luck, you bought a GEM, I hope you can find it again and KEEP IT.
