Holy Moly!! Visiting here was an _experience_ and I am just _amazed_ I didn't even know a mall like this existed in Orlando! This is a complete shopping + dining + entertainment Center, with something that will cater for every member of the family! Firstly props to this Center for the easy parking. I followed the signs, albeit driving fairly slowly, as there were some folks who made some dangerous road moves to get into the parking lane, so keep an eye out and be hyper-aware while getting into the parking garage for this place. Rates were reasonable, and some places validate the parking so definitely check if you are dining here! Once parked, it was easy to find myself on the ground floor outdoor space (there's a second level too) and with there being plenty of signage, I was able to make my way quickly to the Capital Grill (which validates parking - yay!), where Yelper Kelly H was hosting a Magical Dining UYE. I was really blown away by the variety of shops, and leave it to Yelper Erin G to find a bargain in the Tommy Hilfiger shop! Not where I'd choose to stop in Orlando, but I use to live there, so I'm more of a local, I suppose. Pointe Orlando is on I-Drive, which is a very touristy part of Orlando. Hence, you'll mostly find tourists here. It is a great place for tourists though, especially those who are staying in the I-Drive area. Parking here is an absolute pain in the a$$! There's a parking garage (yes, you have to pay to park) and I think the person who designed it must have been on drugs because it's horrible to navigate and the parking spaces were lined for clown cars. it can also be a pain to get out of the garage because it's not uncommon to get stuck in a huge line behind other cars waiting to get out... and you're also waiting for idiots to try to figure out how to pay to get out of the garage because they don't know how to work the machine. Yes, it's a machine you must pay, not a person in a booth. So be prepared for that headache if you come here. It's a mall, so of course there are stores here for shopping. Mostly though, you'll find a whole lot of restaurants. My personal favourite being Johnny Rockets. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it. They also have an IMAX theatre here, but it's not worth all the parking drama. I will say this for Pointe Orlando... It is very nice and very well-maintained. Even at night, I always feel perfectly safe here. They have some beautiful decor and fountains. Nothing like I expected. It's an open mall concept with a lot of walking areas with not too many stores. I looked for a while for a fish restaurant that sounded good, couldn't find it, so turned around and took the trolley back to the Crown Plaza. Tomorrow, I will travel north on the trolley. It's an outside mall! Super hot and not fun to walk around in. The mall has grown a bit over the years. In this outdoor mall you will find quite a few places to dine at and some fun things to do. They now have a big laser tag place, a pretty big movie theatre (20 screens, IMAX & 4DX), live music is usually being played in a few areas. Anywhere from blues to rock music. They just opened up a new placed called The Main Event which is to compete with Dave and Buster's. The outside decor is calm with a few fountains and new trees proving a tiny breeze but not a lot. Lots of other shopping stores for name brand clothes, bags and expensive useless stuff. I would prefer more things to do. They have so much room for activities! read more

My wife and I used the valet at the Capital Grille. When we returned to our car we noticed it smelled like cigarette smoke. It wasn't until the next day we noticed a cigarette butt on the passenger side floor. It is infuriating that the valet would smoke in my brand new car. I'm never going back to the Pointe. A great recommendation by a local coworker... What an amazing place, great location close to the convention center. With a bunch of stores for shopping, lot's of restaurants/ bars and different entertainment venues what else do you need? We parked in the garage, lot's of room and well lit at night. You do have to pay but I thought it was reasonable. With two levels of shops and restaurants it could be overwhelming. Also there's a bowling ally, movie theater and a comedy club. But we came here for dinner. Decided to go to Tommy Bahama for a drink and to decide what place to go for dinner. Tommy Bahamas was my favorite place here! Fun atmosphere at the bar with great locals, bartenders and some of the best Mai Tai's I've ever had. Next we decided to try Taverna Opa for some tasty Greek food and lots of entertainment! We finished the night off at Adobe Gilas for cocktails and live music. What a fun place this is, so many choices you can hop from place to place! read more

I love this part of town, honestly. Food and shops are great. However last night after our car died and we awaited road side assistance, my friends and family were harassed by inebriated people while waiting in the valet area. It was very threatening and hostile too unfortunately which of course can happen anywhere but I don't think should exist here with families and tourists in every corner. They would not leave us alone, got into our faces, would not respect our requests for space and to not be circled, and my 8 month old became subject to "I'm gonna stand by the baby, you can't stop me". Pushing and shoving, cursing, it all followed of course. It's lame, it's dumb, and it honestly makes me never want to go back to that area. Located pretty much where International Drive and Universal Blvd come together, Pointe Plaza Ave and International form a point giving Pointe Orlando a triangle shape. It's a small dining and shopping center within walking distance of the Convention Center and some of the hotels. It's an open air mall with a couple of levels. There's a large parking garage on the backside. Be sure to get your parking validated at either the movie theater or one of the restaurants. The restaurants I noted are: Funky Monkey Bistro & Bar, Adobe Gila's, Maggiano's Little Italy, Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar, B.B. I have been coming to Pointe Orlando ever since the FAO Schwarz store was there. This is an open air mall. Several shops, several restaurants, and a movie theater. I have always enjoyed coming here. When arriving park in the parking garage. The spaces seem a little narrow to me, especially if you're driving a big sedan like I do. Take your ticket with you, most of the restaurants and stores will validate it for either free parking or reduced price parking in the garage. On this particular visit we visited Magianno's Little Italy. We were celebrating a birthday. And as always they were fabulous. All of the different places in Pointe Orlando never disappoint. I recently visited Pointe Orlando several times during a work trip, as it was within walking distance of our hotel. The location is very convenient, especially if you're at the Convention Center or any of the major hotels in that area. Pointe Orlando is a shopping center comprised of numerous restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment venues. It's nice to have it within walking distance because everything you need is there - if you're looking for lunch or dinner you're set, if you forgot to pack something you can find it there, if you're looking to kill some time there's probably a place there to do it. I think Pointe Orlando is a great addition to that area, especially given that so many people travel there for conventions. First time we found this area close to Universal, we were super excited. It was quite packed. We saw quite a few nice restaurants, and we had to come back. So we came back. There's a few select stores such as Victoria Secret, Tommy Bahama, Bath and Body Works, a place for kids to play, Brightham, and a few restaurants. We were even able to check out Funky Monday Wine Bar with a group on. There's also a movie theatre. We were sadly disappointed. We had just come from Orlando Premium Outlets and were overwhelmed with the crowd. Here, it was the direct opposite, dead as can be. We checked this off of our list. If you're staying at the convention centers down the road it's worth the walk to escape resort prices. (Still Orlando high, but not resort). We were able to find a happy hour and some decent food. It's clean, and kept up well. this i hesitated between 3 star or a 4 star review is due to the high vacancy in the shops. LOTS of empty retail space. It felt like a ghost town down some of the turns. We are mid 30s no kids and found what we needed to suit our needs but they need to work hard to fill the occupancy. read more

I found myself in yet another entertainment development here in Orlando and I wasn't bored or disappointed with what Pointe Orlando had to offer. To the developers, job well done for creating a place for tourists and residents to go enjoy a nice meal, some light shopping and possibly a movie. The atmosphere is like most things here, open, airy and tropical. Music plays through outdoor speakers and benches line the red brick walkway to give visitors a welcoming feel. There's also outdoor escalators and staircases to help you move about the area. Kiosks also sit in the middle of the walkways which, in my opinion, take away from the classy appearance. But overall, I'm a fan of what they have created visually. This list of restaurants is somewhat impressive since none of them are fast food places. Just to name a few they are: Maggiano's, The Capital Grille, Adobe Gila's, Pizzeria Valdiano, Red Rock Grill, Hooters, Taverna Opa and Johnny Rockets. Thus, if you were craving Italian, Mexican, Greek, American or Pizza all of your bases are covered. BB King's Jazz Club also makes its home here for a little nighttime fun. If you venture there on a shopping mission, you'll find a nice mix of recognizable names like B. Dalton Books, Tommy Bahama and Victoria's Secret and unique names like Millennium and Artsy Abode. There is a great deal of parking the garage but you do have to pay. It's a nominal amount and goes up by each hour you are parked there. It's extremely close though which makes it nice in case you encounter an afternoon storm. read more

A visit to Pointe Orlando always makes me a little sad, simply for the fact that I think this spot has so much untapped potential! Pointe Orlando is essentially a large entertainment, dining and shopping complex. The outlets that I have personally visited always seem to be busy and at least appear to be profitable. There are, however, many vacant storefront and restaurant spaces, which can make it feel like a ghost town despite profitable spots. It's definitely still worth a visit, especially if you are looking to dine in the International Drive area. In terms of entertainment, there is a Regal cinema, comedy club and a laser tag facility. Dining includes several restaurants at varying price points and includes Capital Grill, Marlow's Tavern, Maggiano's, the Pub Orlando, Ra sushi, Cuba Libre, Taverna Opa, Adobe Gilas and Johnny Rockets, to name a few! Dining options is definitely the strongest area for this spot. Shopping seems to be where they struggled. There are a few spots including Charming Charlie, Hollister, Bath and Body Works, Armani Exchange and Chicos, but this is also wear you'll find the most dead space- empty or recently vacated. There is also a large parking garage and many restaurants will validate. Despite the deserted nature of certain areas, I always feel safe in this area. It also appears they have some construction going on to keep the facility in tip top shape. Hopefully with the arrival of I Drive 360 and some more activity in the International Drive area, Pointe Orlando may have a little more life in the future! read more

I had a friend who was attending a conference in town to meet me there for dinner and drinks. I am sorry I made this suggestion. We spent over $250 at Blue Martini Lounge and at Marlowe's, and although the service, food and drinks were great, the fact that you have to pay for parking ($10 for each of us since we drove separately) really put a damper on the evening. You used to be able to get complimentary parking (or at least a reduced rate), but appears that perk is gone. I found out the servers even have to pay $3 to park there! Given Orlando has so many great places to eat where the parking is free (hey, even Disney Springs has free parking!), there is really nothing at Pointe Orlando worth paying $10 just to visit this place. Leave it to the tourists who stay on International Drive and don't recommend it to friends who come into town. Orlando has much better dining choices for out-of-town guests that do not gouge you for parking as well as paying "tourist prices" for food! read more

Pointe Orlando is a very lovely restaurant and entertainment complex filled with great restaurants and nightclubs along with a good sized movie theater. It is a wonderful place to come for an evening of food and entertainment. Unfortunately this amazing complex has an evil twin. In order to use this complex you have to endure its parking garage. Are you scared? You should be. You get a ticket on the way in the garage. Then you search for a parking spot. The size of the parking spaces are quite small and you have people from all over the world that are in rented cars that they are not use to driving, fighting for these spots. The worst part might be dealing with the much dreaded New York drivers, probably the biggest a-holes to ever set foot on the planet, not to mention the extremely discourteous locals that think they are somehow better than the tourists and make sure they drive accordingly. The people are panicking and trying to get into the first spot that comes along, often blocking the aisle while they wait several minutes for a car to leave. Once the space is vacated, they then have to maneuver their way into this tiny space while drivers both entering and leaving the garage impatiently squeeze tightly in on their vehicle violating the much needed space they need in order to properly turn into the minute little slot between two crookedly parked vehicles that are already crowding the dividing lines. This causes the person parking to nervously have to back up and go forward several times before they finally work their vehicles into the tiny inadequate space. This is a reoccurring act that takes place many times until, twenty to thirty minutes later, you finally make it past all of the other crazy panicking drivers to the upper regions that still have plentiful parking right next to the elevator and stairs that lead you to the pedestrian overpass into the complex. Returning to our vehicles, we notice that the area where we parked is also now filled and people have parked extremely close to both sides of our car making it very difficult to even get into the vehicle. We wait for a break in the traffic to carefully back out and head towards the exit. One of those creatures from New York are immediately attached to our rear bumper where they ride our tail the entire twenty minutes back down through the panicking sea of craziness all of the way to the toll booths and they cap off their wonderful behavior by immediately cutting us off to try to get a better place in line. An attendant waives us over to a toll booth, I already have the exact cash ready but I learn once I am up to the booth that they only take credit cards. Maybe they have signs stating this but I did not see any until we were right at the toll booth. We dig out a credit card and give it to her but she cannot figure out how to make it work and finally decides the booth must be out of order so she has to help us back up into another line. Of course the other drivers are rude and don't want to let her do this. They are from New York and Orlando, the rudest and most vulgar of all drivers. Finally someone comes along that is from another area of the country and they are kind enough to not try to run over the attendant and they are also kind enough to let us into the other line. Finally! Finally, we get the honor of paying ten dollars for this wonderful experience. I feel sorry for the businesses located within Pointe Orlando because they are losing a lot of business because of this completely chaotic parking situation. They should probably perform a public caning on whoever is responsible for that garage. Make sure it is in a very large stadium because I am sure there will be plenty of disgruntled people returning from all over the world to watch. ...and don't forget to find a place that has better parking. read more

As a local, I love the pointe. Let's me get away from busy, touristy orlando and enjoy a nice date night to dinner and a movie. The Regal there is newly refurbished and so nice. With nice leather recliners and much less seating than a traditional theater but still the massive screens, including iMax. The bars are nice, I typically go for the movies but it's nice to have a drink thete. The improve there is also pretty nice. They also just got bowling alley with an arcade that had many new arcade games I've never seen before, very cutting edge and new. I honestly can't wait to check it out. If you want the big outlet mall then go there. If you are expecting Disney than forget it, you night as well be busy go to the new Disney Springs. read more

When we went out for dinner on our very first evening in Orlando, I had no idea we would be going to a unique mall of not only shopping, but restaurants, bars and other places of entertainment that includes a theater and comedy club. I found this to be very interesting and exciting to see more of what they had to offer! Our destination was BB King's Blue's Club which turned out to be our only positive experience of the night. Entering the parking garage seemed simple enough, but exiting was a whole other story! First, watch out for those idiot driver's who zoom through the lot without even looking. As you get to the exits, you are suddenly informed that they only accept credit cards, no cash! People will cut you off as you try to find a gate with the least amount of vehicles in line, only to then (as luck would have it), reach the gate that wouldn't accept my card and decides to stop working. The "gate keeper" had to instruct us to back out and find another exit, but other drivers behind you could care less about courtesy. When we were finally able to get out of that cursed parking garage, my high hopes of returning to this mall to check out the other clubs dwindled away forever...... read more

There is bowling, Improve Comedy, dance clubs, Imax movie theater, arcade, and plenty of familiar restaurants and eating choices. I do highly recommend you valet park, or other wise you will need to pay to park in the parking garage, some of the restaurants do offer free valet, I know Capital Grille does for sure. I like the concept of Pointe Orlando but unfortunately too many stores and restaurants have closed shop for it to get more than 2 stars. It seems the same fate is befalling many such shopping centers throughout Orlando. For instance, if you could combine Pointe Orlando with Festival Bay you would get a good shopping center since both are half empty. I like the open airiness of the Pointe and they have some good anchors which saves the place. Some restaurants like Capital Grille which I've heard are very good and on my "to-try" list. We ended up at Cuba Libre which was a really neat place with a great blueberry mojito. You'll also find BB King's, Hooter's and Adobe Gilas. Adobe's was the only one who had a crowd on a Friday night. It doesn't look good but I'm hoping that Pointe Orlando can hold on, it has great potential. read more

Point Orlando is located off I Drive, several blocks north from the Orlando Convention Center and where the 528-Beachline hits the southern most end of I-Drive. I'll swing down here to visit Capital Grille, Funky monkey and Tommy Bahama for lunches, dinners and brunch throughout the year. Generally, the parking and valet are quick and it's a nice place to hit good quality, familiar restaurants. Last night we had an out of town relative visiting and staying near the convention center who REALLY wanted to hit Cuba Libre for dinner. We had a less than stellar experience at Pointe Orlando last night, due to the overwhelming convention business booking entire restaurants and/or bars in this complex. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for their business boom, especially on a Monday night! However, I'm not happy that NOWHERE online was there a notice "Booked for a private event" on the Pointe site or the individual restaurants. Likewise, no announcement on restaurant phone recordings. When various whole venues are booked, it would be wise for the complex management to think, "Hey, there is *no where* for diners to go after they've parked, since *every place* to eat is booked with private events!" Pointe Orlando is located on International Drive and I very much like the concept of an outdoor mall with many different restaurants and retail outfits. I wish there was something like it in Tampa. Oh wait, we did...it was called Channelside. Pointe Orlando has many restaurants and bars to choose from, plus retail stores, a comedy club, a huge cinemaplex, and a Dave and Buster's! Sounds like fun? Not on a rainy day! And, with my luck, it rained most of the day on Sunday. There some covered walkways, but not too many to shield yourself if there is a tumultuous downpour. There is a large parking garage attached to Pointe Orlando. Getting in is very easy, getting out is another story. You need to remember to bring your parking ticket with you in order to pay at one of the stations, this adds to confusion and LONG LINES leaving for those not accustomed to this process. We were lucky and had planned to see a movie and were able to validate our tickets at the theater but still had to deal with the mess leaving. Despite the parking cluster, I would definitely return to check out the many bars and restaurants. But, I would also plan accordingly and check the weather report! read more

Cool little shopping area right by the Orlando Convention Center. We stop by on every business trip because either the show or an exhibitor is throwing a party at one of its many restaurants or bars. The last one was at Cuba Libre and it was awesome! They also have a movie theater which has come handy in the past when you have free time after your show and want to catch the latest flick. The shops located here are a bit on the pricey side but are great for window shopping during happy hour lol. read more

I also agree with Rhea P. that it is fun to walk around and the idea of the shopping district is a great one. I don't even mind all the tourists (I know what I'm getting when I head to I-Drive), but the parking situation as Rob W. describes is definitely one I like to avoid when given a choice. I used to frequent the hotels on I-Drive but now that I find myself spending more time playing with Mickey, I don't spend as much time in the area as I did before. On the off chance I do stay at a nearby hotel and can walk to Pointe Orlando, then I would definitely consider it an option. read more

This review is for Pointe Orlando, not the restaurants and businesses inside of it- which are all nice. The parking garage is the worst I've ever had to deal with. They just put in new machines, but they're already having problems with them. One of the machines going out, the lost ticket button doesn't even work, I've tried it twice. It's also not worth the price with how inconvenient it is. It's too small, people will park very close to you and they will hit your car getting out of theirs. If you're not using valet and want to save some money, I would just park in the free parking garage down the road near the Orlando eye instead or walk from somewhere else. In my opinion it beats the inconvenience of having to deal with long lines to pay for your tickets and long lines to even get out of the garage. If you go often, they're asking for $90 a month for a parking pass. Which is ridiculous. read more

My new hotel when I'm in orlando. When we arrived check in was quick and the staff was very nice. We entered the room which faced the pool and I was pleased. We had two queen beds a fridge, and a TV what more can you want on international dr. We were in the hustle and bustle of everything in a great hotel. If it wasn't for my knee and my mom's hip we could have walked everywhere. This hotel is now my favorite place to stay. Despite the pillows being to soft lol. read more

I have visited many so called entertainment/restaurant/shopping areas and although the quality of the restaurant(Tommy Bahamas) was superb the entire night was ruined by the less than functional parking lot. We were stuck in the parking lot for over an hour. Everyone honking, getting out of their cars. It was horrible. You'd think you were leaving a SEC college football game parking lot. Not the case!! They refused to open the gates even with the entire lot being a traffic jam. What a cluster. I would seriously avoid going here on a weekend unless you like your dinner to be followed by an extremely frustrating parking lot debacle. Oh one more thing we ended up having to carry our stroller up 5 flights of stairs because the elevator was not working as well. read more

Pointe Orlando is a great place to hang out or bring a date, they do have a lot of high end restaurants but also moved the Orlando Improv here from Church Street. There is also a movie theater here with IMAX besides restaurants and a comedy club, this establishment has been remodeled and re organized with more business lately due to it being so empty before and tourist never stopping here. They have plenty of good places to eat here like Capital Grille and also shops if you are in the mood to go shopping but over all I would take a date here or come to the Improv as that is why I was here recently but before that I have come here before many times to the movies and this place has definitely change for the better. read more
