Ok. I'm old. When I go out to eat I prefer table service. Here, you order at the counter on an ipad , pay for your food and get asked for a tip, and they call your name when your order is ready. Self service. Ok. Now that that is out of the way...... The food was excellent! We enjoyed the ginger salads. Fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced. All the menu items are reasonably priced. We also shared potstickers that were just ok, and we shared one bowl with steak and shrimp on top of fried rice. The rice was delicious. The portions of steak and shrimp were very generous with vegetables too. We were stuffed. Next time I will skip the potstickers. Didn't need them. The one bowl was more than enough for the two of us. Glad this popped in my memory, as I stopped by here with a buddy of mine earlier this year and got me a great Poké bowl with salmon and tuna, and kind of built my own, and it was fantastic! My phone was dead so I didn't get any pictures, but this is a great way to get fresh fish and other goodies but for me it's all about the tuna, the salmon, avocado, seaweed and squid salad. Gotta have Sriracha and the price points are pretty good for these times when Sushi grade tuna is priced out of the roof. Will try to come down again to that area from Athens before Christmas cause I want to take the kids, but Poké bowls have my heart and this is a great place to try them if you haven't. Everyone was so kind and friendly at the restaurant. Ordering on the iPad was very easy. I love being able to make it the way I like it. They had really great options. The beef gyoza were a rare find. It's always veggie or pork. Loved the beef and crispness of the wonton! The poke bowl was one of the best that I've ever had including in Hawaii. Today marketed my 5th bowl of Ramen here in 12 days (since first discovering they now serve it). It has truly gotten better and better with each visit and now borders on my favorite ramen. I generally only come here for pokè, but it seems I've become quite satisfied with the ramen and now I will forever have a hard time deciding between the two! Ordering takeout sushi or poke bowls can be hit or miss, but with Teppan, it is a true home run. Food- I ordered the three protein poke bowl with tuna, salmon, and shrimp. The additional toppings ranged from tamago, masago, edamame, seaweed salad, roasted seaweed, fried onion, sesame seeds and a broad assortment of sauces to mix and match. For a $12 poke bowl I felt the value and taste was outstanding! Presentation was perfect. Compostable bowl filled with my poke options- fresh fish and assembled nicely. I would say I felt more like I was dining in instead of typical styrofoam takeout containers. This elevated the experience and made for a perfect lunch. I will definitely seek out Teppan in the future for take-out and when COVID restrictions merit release, will make sure to visit their location as well. They have a new Yelper fan for sure. read more

Bam! So I'm a huge poke fan, and lately want this over sushi even, especially since my boyfriend won't really eat sushi. So, we were headed to his sister's basketball game, and then were going to see a movie and had some time to kill, and of course, I wanted to eat somewhere new, so this place caught my attention. I wish this place was closer, because I would be here way more often. My boyfriend got their teriyaki steak with yum yum sauce, and he really liked it too. I wanted him to try their bacon fried rice, but he didn't get it and got brown rice instead. Bummer. But I'm sure that would have been good, too. Cute little place with a casual feel, thick forks (important for poke if you aren't using chopsticks), and friendly staff. If you feel the same way I did about this place, be sure to pick up the stamp card, so you can be a frequent flyer with benefits of a free bowl after a certain number of visits. The whole family LOVED IT!!!! Our first time and my son wanted to build a bowl. He took forever picking his toppings. The young lady helping him was so very patient, asking him questions, and giving him suggestions. We also had two hibachi plates and gyoza. It was all delicious. So today in the afternoon I made a doordash order to this place. I literally was swamped in a zoom work meeting and could not leave my home to grab lunch. I made a order for the first time through doordash to this place but have ordered here dozens of times and doordash I get atleast weekly at other places without issues. I generally always call these restaurants to confirm they will staple or tape my bag ... I called and a worker that didn't speak good English or understand me I asked him to make sure my order was being taped. He didn't clearly understand as he asked me to contact doordash. I said sir you all are still preparing my order can you tape the bag before the driver comes.he still didn't understand and I asked if he can give the phone to someone that understands better English. He then says to contact doordash. I said again please the order hasn't left can you tape the bag. Then he asked what was my order. Then I heard a click and I saw immediately a order was cancelled. This guy cancelled my order cos he didn't understand and was frustrated .. I proceed to contact the owner and he blames me!!! Can you imagine?? He states I cancelled the order then gives excuses why his staff hung up me on me and how they get very busy and thars why he hung up. I'll never patronize this place again. This is my favorite poke restaurant. I am so grateful they opened in Hamilton Mill because it's close to home and I don't have to head towards Duluth or Atlanta for good poke anymore. Their prices first off are great! At other poke places, a 2 protein bowl was about $11 but at TEPPAN, their 3 protein bowl is $11 so it's a fantastic value. Don't worry about them skimping on the toppings either b/c other than the base and protein, the toppings are unlimited - yaaas! The few times I've had TEPPAN, they've been fair with the protein too; no partial or light scoops here. The fish and toppings are noticeably fresh. I recommend topping your bowl off with their delicious poke sauce and wasabi sauce. The staff there is helpful and patient as you contemplate all of the tasty combinations you can make with their unlimited toppings.
