I recently revisited Poke Bar Brookhaven after my initial visit when it first opened. My first impression of Poke Bar was that it offered healthy food, somewhat similar to Sashimi Danburi (육회 비빔밥) in Korean cuisine. Craving fast food that was still healthy, I decided to try Poke Bar again. The restaurant is located in a professional retail shopping center frequented for lunch and dinner. My tuna and salmon lunch, served with lots of fresh vegetables on brown rice, was very tasty and healthy. I enjoyed every bite, especially since the fish was freshly cut. The gentleman who served me was extremely friendly and kind. I plan to come back here more often. read more

Gotta love some fresh food! There's a lot of different Poke Bar locations in Georgia, I go to this one the most because fortunately it's down the street from my office. They're always very kind and the food is freshhhh. They have three different size bowls. I typically get the medium. You're able to pick your base, rice, salad, or mixed. Then your protein and all your toppings. This location is good however I wish the inside was a little more inviting to eating there. It could definitely use a little pop. read more

On the surface all poke bowls may seem the same but the quantity of items you can select, the freshness of the ingredients, the price and serving size all end up being differentiating factors. This was my first time visiting Poke Bar in Chamblee. There was a lot of free parking available and the restaurant looked clean. There is an art to ordering poke bowls (unless you are a regular) but the staff was helpful and made it a breeze. You pick a base, protein, mix ins, sauce, sides and toppings. I got a medium bowl with 3 proteins - tuna, spicy tuna and more of the same (what can I say - I love tuna) on a base of rice and greens along with some edamame, cucumber, corn and sesame oil. You have options to choose from as you go through the step by step process. My bowl tasted great and all the ingredients were fresh. In my opinion that's the main thing. Yes it is a little pricey but for fresh and quality ingredients it was worth it. The serving size was plenty too, so no complaints there. At the end of the meal I was satiated but didn't feel guilty about the food I ate. Win win! Will be back soon! read more

Came in today, because my daughter was craving for a poke bowl. Coming in there was 2 customer that was already seated. I had to video chat my daughter, so she could see exactly what she wanted. The guy at the counter was sitting down, obviously looking at his phone. But once I approached the counter he ask what I wanted. I politely told him I was ordering for my daughter. He saw me videoing her and he gave me the menu. It's seemed as though he gotten aggravated because I was taking 2 seconds too long with the order. I guess he had to get back to whatever he was watching. But anyway! I told him my ingredients for bowl. He started rushing me to finish. My daughter is pregnant so she can't eat raw fish. I told him shrimp, octopus and albacore. Right when I finished my trans action. He threw my bowl in the bag without any utensils and then walked off to the back. I really wanted to say something ugly to him, but I chose the higher road. Because I might have to come back. Once I got to my daughter, she started to eat it. And THIS MUTHA F$%&#@ put raw tuna in the bowl. Grant it I wasn't watching him fully making the bowl. But I made sure I said those 3 ingredients. Now!!!!!!! I've been a huge poke fan for some time now and Poke Bar is one of those spots that deliver consistent quality bowls across multiple locations I've visited. Recently stopped by with a bad poke craving. There are plastic shields hanging from the ceiling since COVID. There are signs that ask you to point to what you want since it's very difficult for both parties to hear one another across the shield. I ordered a small bowl with less rice for my base. Small bowls come with two proteins; I chose shrimp and ahi tuna. Toppings I picked included imitation crab, onion, edamame, scallions, seaweed salad, furikake and sesame seeds. Sauces used were spicy mayo and sesame oil. Service: Good, no issues here. The experience was very smooth and quick. Everyone is wearing masks and gloves. They also use disposable bowls to mix each person's poke bowl. Parking: A number of parking spots in front of the store and along the curb. There's a small parking lot further down from the restaurant to the left. Poke Bar is a solid poke spot. Wouldn't say it's the best out there but the poke quality is consistent across all the locations I've tried. read more

I've been a huge Poke Bar fan since they opened the original one in Sandy Springs - I'm a happy camper they've now opened multiple locations. Today was my first visit since the lockdown (oh how I've missed my poke!), and all the items in the poke bar (such an appropriate name) looked fresh. My base is always mixed greens + brown rice, salmon + tuna for my proteins, then edamame beans, green onions, pineapple, jalapeno, cucumbers, corn, seaweed salad, crab salad, ginger, furikake, ... and house dressing + spicy mayo for my sauce. So fresh & yummy tasting - and consistently! The staff working here are very nice -- FYI b/c everyone is wearing masks, it's harder to hear each other, so they recommend you just point to the labels posted for each of the ingredients on the glass barrier. re: COVID, everyone is wearing masks, everything feels clean and they also have thick plastic sheets between each of the food stations to make people waiting in line feel safe. FYI they don't do the loyalty cards anymore but you can just enter your phone # on their device to get points. i've already earned free mango or avocado for my next poke visit! Thank you! read more

I still love this place, the customer service and the food! And, if you keep returning and sign up for their loyalty program, you can earn free food/drinks! Covid-19 requirements are in place, including facemasks wearing by employees and customers, heavy plastic sheets hanging between the tables, plastic separating the customers from the employees and the practice of social distancing. The food served is still fresh, and the employees are still friendly, attentive and efficient. What I like best about Poke Bar that sets them apart from competitors are that Poke Bar employees hand mix the poke, the sauces and the other ingredients together, spreading all of that deliciousness throughout the bowl. If you can't find parking in the small parking lot right in front of this store, there is a free public parking garage nearby. I rarely get cravings for poke bowls these days but when I do, I get excited over the fresh poke at Poke Bar! My first visit to the Chamblee location was very nice. It was a quiet weeknight and there weren't many people inside. I always love salmon in my poke bowl so I made sure to order plenty of it. I like that you can customize bald greens and half rice - that way I'm not overstuffing myself with just rice but I'm also not starving afterward from only eating greens. I love the toppings they offer, as well. I have trouble differentiating poke from the various poke competitors in Atlanta. There are so many options these days and they're all similar. That being said, the Poke Bar chain was the first major poke restaurant in town so that is the characteristic I notice about Poke Bar first. That is the reason I am rating Poke Bar with a 4. I got the medium bowl for $13.50 and it allowed you to choose 3 proteins; I selected salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Free parking is always a plus. Poke Bar is next to Bishops, and you can enter from the parking lot side or the street side. I went in from the parking lot side and was a little confused since the menu and pricing was not immediately findable; the big menu board is above the long side of the counter, around the corner. read more

The kale noodles were tasty. Ginger wasn't the freshest but wasn't bad. And the boba milk tea was pretty good too. For a quick poke fix, this place did pretty well. Maybe I'm just used to the way that my favorite poke place in Miami does things... a medium bowl there set me back $12 but was so humungous that I'd have trouble finishing it. This was my first time ordering poke since I've moved to Atlanta. While the quality of the food at Poke Bar was very good, the portion was extremely small! I've been driving by this location for over 2 years now and I'm quite upset with myself that it's taken so long for me to give this spot a try. I came in on a Friday evening looking for the perfect post-workout eats. Upon walking in, there's a long bar accompanied by menu(s) that walk you through building your bowl (or smoothie). The bar is sectioned off by each step, ex: step 1 consists of picking your size and the bases (brown/white rice, salad, etc) next section contains proteins and so on and so forth. There are countless toppings/combinations so it's the perfect place to customize your order. I ordered a large bowl which consisted of 4 proteins (spicy tuna, salmon, shrimp and octopus). The salmon and spicy tuna were absolutely delicious. Really loved the variety of veggies (seaweed is my fav) AND sauces - large variety of vegan/gluten free options. I was also quite pleased with the portion, hoping this is consistent as I saw reviews saying their portions have been a bit inconsistent over time. This is one of my favorite places to eat out here in the Brookhaven/Chamblee area. My food is always great and fresh. I'm there often and have always been treated well by the staff. If you're someone like me, who is very Covid conscious, you'll love this place and how they use space deciders to keep everyone distanced. We liked this place. They were sadly out of rice when we arrived. All the rice was gone. Apparently is was a very busy day and no one was able to stop and make a new batch. But that's okay. Spring mix hit the spot. And I'm happy for them that they're busy. Our only complaint was the whiny, emo, pop dreck music playing in the background. Give me real music, not that formulaic pablum. Overall, the shop was very clean, brightly lit, and the folks behind the counter were very friendly. I came here last weekend with my friend. Honestly, I've had better and this was subpar poke. Food: I got the large poke bowl since I was feeling pretty hungry and thought the 4 proteins would be nice. I had salmon, tuna, shrimp, and octopus with white rice. Imagine my surprise when the scoops of protein were barely bigger than a tablespoon! I used to go to a poke place in Athens and they serve bigger portions for less the price. Moving on, I also had corn, green onions, masago (btw TEASPOON portion), imitation crab, and furikake as toppings along with shoyu + spicy mayo for sauce. Regarding the flavor, the fish didn't taste that fresh. I could barely taste any salmon flavor, the tuna was frozen, and the shrimp and octopus felt invisible. Before anyone says maybe it was my choice of sauce... I couldn't even TASTE that there was any sauce in my poke. My bowl in general just tasted so bland that I went and got some soy sauce to just have any flavor in it. The bowl was very mediocre. Price: My bowl was $13.99. The place I used to frequent would sell their large for about $12 and even though it'd only be 3 proteins, I would have enough for leftover tomorrow. I cleaned this place's bowl and still felt hungry. Service: The ladies who served me were nice. We didn't speak much outside of me telling her what I wanted as toppings. So no fault there really! It was okay, not knock your socks off. Wow! The food was so fresh, I am a sushi LOVER, and now a poke lover! I initially wanted to go to Fúdo in this shopping center, but in "athleasure" wear, didn't think I would fit in. I strolled down the short block and saw Poke Bar tucked in the corner! Interior isn't fancy, but I sat outside on the little patio area which was delightful. I am so happy I found this place- the salmon (my favorite) was so fresh and buttery, the shrimp was great! The staff knew which ingredients were made with garlic & onion (I am sensitive to these so this was very important!) I got a side of soy sauce for my "dressing" and a side of ginger- so much ginger was provided!! Great serving! This was my first time at a poke spot- I liked the option to choose greens as my base instead of rice or noodles. Kept everything light and healthy. The sales girl explained poke bowl shops are similar to chipotle- but much healthier! There are so many poke options around Atlanta now - makes me super happy because I love poke. This is definitely one of my favorite ones to go to. Location: It's located in Chamblee across the street from Walmart and diagonally across the street from Whole Foods. It's in a mixed development complex. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant but there is a parking deck. Space is small but just right for the place. Food: It kind of like a Chipotle. You choose a base, proteins, vegetables, sauces, and garnish. Pretty simple and the staff is super attentive. I like that I'm not limited to a few vegetable options at this place like some places. The proteins that are offered at most poke places are raw fish, shrimp, and tofu, but this place recently added some hot proteins such as bulgogi (beef), spicy pork, and chicken. I tried the spicy pork and it wasn't really spicy at all. I think there were a little too much fat in the pieces so I wasn't a huge fan. I think I'll stick to my salmon and spicy tuna, but I like that they offer that option now! Service is always great! Definitely my go to poke place to go to at the moment. read more
