This Chamblee location is fairly central to a lot of other "errand-like" stops and offers a fantastically satisfying, healthy, and fast food option. When you walk in, the Poke Bar has a clean and modern-looking atmosphere with trendy music and a neutral smell. You'll approach the bar, denoted by the overhead "start here" sign and then go down the row picking your ingredients -- first you'll decide on size and base. I got medium and a scoop of brown rice for my base. If you get a size medium then you get three proteins; if size small, two proteins, etc., and you can double up if you don't want two different kinds. Then you keep going and just pick whatever you like for toppings -- they have a really nice website where you can see all of their ingredient offerings -- so you can check it out in advance so you don't get cold feet :P Their sauce selection is also great -- I got the sweet chili sauce and its a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. The staff working there aren't over-exuberant, but they were all nice and will answer any questions you'd like to ask. Regarding the prices -- there isn't a terribly big difference between the small and the medium -- an extra scoop isn't that much when it comes down to it, and at the end the bowls will be filled up equally anyways; albeit with vegetables instead of a small scoop of protein. Personally I don't think the extra scoop is worth the extra couple bucks, but if you're really into poke then maybe you do! Parking is easy -- if you can't find parking in the circle, there is a big lot just adjacent to it, so head over there. A coworker of mines introduced me to this place and I am HOOKED! Every time I'm craving sushi at work I come here because I know it'll satisfy my craving. The ingredients are fresh. My favorite proteins usually are the salmon and tuna or spicy tuna and salmon. I've also had the shrimp and it was still superb! I've only tried the spicy mayo sauce because I love the little spicy kick. They use to have a stamp rewards card where you could redeem a free bowl after a number of bowls purchased. However, now they have transferred their rewards program to Fivestars, you can redeem free rewards (i.e. free drink, free miso soup, free bowl) with your points you've accumulated. Parking - There are several spots available all over. Even a deck! Woo! Space - Small. I usually come at an off time so no one is really there. I literally walk in at 11:15am or like 8:10pm due to my work outs nearby. Service - Everyone is super nice and attentive. I did not know this till recently... but Poke Bar is owned by a Korean. His family also helps out. Nice people! My main order: Brown Rice, Spicy Tuna, with a bunch of other stuff, Ponzu Sauce, etc. I'm pretty happy with the portions. All of it tastes great too! Welcome to the neighborhood Poke Bar! Having just opened up 4 days ago, I was expecting mild chaos when I went in at noon for lunch, but the restaurant was surprisingly calm and under control. Seating inside is not very abundant (a few tables for 4 and some 2 seaters), but tables were filled with patrons noshing on their sushi/salad/rice bowls. The space is clean, modern, and has easy signage for first timers to figure it out. Ordering is set up like Chitpotle: stand in land and pick your size (small/2 proteins, medium/3 proteins, large/4 proteins) and base (salad, rice, nachos??, etc.) and then move on to step 2 where you pick your proteins (tuna, shrimp, octopus, salmon, etc.), and so on and so forth. It's a little overwhelming the first time, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straight-forward. They had a great variety of toppings ranging from pineapple, to corn, to seaweed salad, to avocado (extra $1). Sauces are also abundant and you can choose 1 or many. Depending on who is mixing your toppings, they might be heavy handed with the sauce. I had to tell the worker to stop with my wasabi shoyu cuz he just kept going and going. (My mom did not stop him and said it was a little salty because there was too much sauce.) Anyway, after you get toppings, you get ... more toppings! Toppings for everyone! And after that, at the register to pay, there are ... more toppings! I opted for a sprinkle of sesame seeds and fried garlic because, yum, garlic. We ordered 3 bowls and they were tasty and fresh. They also have loyalty cards so I immediately got stamped for 3 bowls. (11th one free.) I will say the small with 2 toppings left me hungry after an hour. I'd advise patrons to go with medium or large if you want something more filling. This poke brand is a global franchise. So while some things many not be within their control, I offer some notes for the business owners. (The entire staff was very nice, btw.) -If possible, I'd invest in bigger bowls. We got 2 smalls and 1 medium and they were all in the same size bowl. Even with the small, it was hard to mix and eat without making a giant mess and getting rice/salad everywhere. Can't imagine ordering a large and eating from the small bowl. -Possibly look into ordering sheets where patrons could mark what they want in advance so they're not holding up the line figuring out what they want. Not an issue if it is not busy, but I can see it being very slow going during a lunch hour rush. -You may want to change your social media handles from Brookhaven to Chamblee. Chamblee residents get VERY defensive about being called Brookhaven. (I've seen the threads on NextDoor!) Located in the new Solis Parkview condos/apartments next to Big Daddy's Burger Bar. The girl who serviced me yesterday was very rude, I understand it's hard to hear, but that doesn't give an excuse to yell and point with a utterly ridiculous attitude. They should train their staff on customer service, I honestly felt animosity once when I stepped in and tried to order... not only do they lack customer service, but they lack portion sizes... this is the first Poke Bar I've been to where they literally give a piece per serving... it's a literal joke on how my poke bowl comes out at the end.... if I'm paying $10+ dollars I would respect $10+ dollars worth of food...I'm disappointed because I've only tried them three times and literally all three times were not good... I've been buying bowls since 2019 and they were awesome but from beginnings of this year there portions are not even filling half of the bowl, I'm paying almost 30 bucks for two bowls and they can't even fill half of it. Great lunch spot in Chamblee! You pick your base (salad, chips, rice), add your protein (the salmon and spicy tuna were great), and add as many toppings as you would like! Great selection of toppings (seaweed salad was great!). I chose a medium bowl, which gets you three scoops of protein, and it was filling! The food quality is really good for the price. Yet, a new place to fulfill your poke needs. This Poke bar is fairly new to the area. I've been to the location in Duluth and it's pretty much the concept as most poke places. Although, apparently you can't use the same punch card as I tried but I think the guy told me it only worked for the other location, which is sort of a bummer. There seems to be plenty of parking available for retail patrons though it does share it's lot with the Solis apartments. The space is clean and fairly modern, but it is limited in seating with only a couple of tables for 2 and 4. The poke assembly line was pretty standard with most other poke restaurants. If you've ever been to Chipotle, you'll get the idea. You pick your size, base and protein, followed by an array of toppings to finish off your poke. Avocado and mangos will be extra though. Good selections to choose from and I was pretty full with my small bowl of 2 proteins but I am a small gal so for you heavy eaters out there I'd opt for a large. Overall, I really enjoyed the poke and will probably be by again for a quick bite. read more

I have been here a few times. It's nothing spectacular, just simple fresh poke. It's right by my house and hits the spot every time. They have a new item. Kale noodles, i was a bit curios so i decided to give it a try. Came in and asked if they were served hot or cold. They are served cold. I asked to a sample and they guy kindly handed one over. I enjoyed it. I did a bowl with no protein. Half noodles and half while rice. Pineapple, corn, cucumber, and crab meat. Super simple clean and refreshing. I couldn't recall the sauce I usually get. The guy described them and I had a sample of two of them. . I really enjoyed my bowl. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary or anything. Great place to pick up a healthy dinner! Instead of a rice bowl I got a small mix spring salad with 2 toppings of salmon and spicy tuna. It was topped with kale, cilantro, and edamame with wasabi shoyu sauce. I also added seaweed salad, masago and for a $1 extra some avocado. Came out to $10 not bad for all the fixings. I love poke bar out of most poke chains in Atlanta. I go there basically religiously. My experience here was upsetting. I prefer to have some of my sides separate, as well as my dry toppings so they stay crunchy. As the lady was preparing my order she was very short with me. I usually only get less than 4 toppings, so i try to get more of it as i don't usually get a lot in general. She was very rude and kept picking up very little when i would ask for more kale or corn. On top of that when i wanted my wasabi and ginger separate she huffed and made it known i was asking for too much.. which in reality I've hit every poke bar and have never had any issue with my order which isn't even much to ask nor complex. I felt like it was for sure a packed day, but it was the only time i didn't enjoy my bowl. 3 stars for the freshness and the greeting of the other man who usually makes my bowls with no fuss. read more

I brought a friend after telling her how amazing it is (food was still amazing) the two ladies did not greet us or smile. Talk about a spotless restaurant! When you're dealing with raw fish and veggies clean is key and considering the 100% health score it's clear these guys really get it. The staff was super knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy walking us through the different proteins, toppings and sauce combinations. This is truly a make it your own joint and the different sizes and prices will satisfy even the hungriest appetite (I got a small and with two protein options it was PLENTY).
