Wow. Just wow. Right when I walked in I was instantly greeted with a warm and friendly "Hi! Welcome!" by their staff. I told the worker that I was vegan and she was really eager to help me! She enlightened me with their exorbitant amount of sauces, many of which are vegan! I got a regular bowl with rice and salad and tofu and a plethora of sides and their delicious ponzu and eel sauces (and yes, their eel sauce IS vegan!) I love how they have interesting toppings like seaweed noodles(my personal favorite) and their brown rice is to die for. Been here multiple times because the poke is good, but today I went and received terrible customer service. I forgot to add spring mix to my bowl so I asked the associate that was working if she could just add some of it to the top of my bowl and she said she couldn't because it's a base and not a topping. I completely understand so I proceeded to ask her if I could just have some on the side or get a small side of it and she continued to tell me no and that she couldn't give me the side of spring mix that I wanted. I would've paid for it but she just kept insisting that she wasn't allowed to give me a few leads of spring mix on the side. How disappointing that she couldn't find a way to satisfy my needs, something as simple as a side of spring mix, and it resulting in a bad visit to a place I like to give my business too. This is my favorite poke place in the IE. You can't go wrong with this place. The service is amazing. All the workers are very nice and help you along as quickly as possible. If I had any questions the workers are always willing and ready to help me out. For the bowl, I always go with a regular bowl with white rice. I always go with the Hawaiian tuna and Hawaiian salmon. It's very flavorful and I don't need to add too much sauce. What's great about this place is their options as far as fish and toppings. Their variety bears any poke place I have ever been to. The fish beats all the other poke places I have been to because their fish is very fresh. What is best is that all the toppings are included! Avocado is not extra! They have A LOT of sauces. They allow you to combine whatever you like so you can go in with whatever you are feeling for the day of. I always get the house sauce, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. You can't go wrong with this combo. Three stars because there's major inconsistencies. The first time I came I was really wowed by the amount of options in fish, toppings, and sauces. I had the marinated tuna and salmon while my partner had the regular tuna, salmon, and crawfish. I loved the pairing of creamy garlic sauce and ponzu as well as the amount of seaweed options. The fish tasted really fresh. This was in the evening and even though there's not much sitting space, I wanted to come back just for quality and amount of options Second time around, I'm not sure if it had to do with the timing since I came in the afternoon, things were just not the same? The crab meat was very clumpy and tough, I couldn't mix it very well. The fish was warm and the texture was rough with some of the fish still needing trimming. I noticed that the fish is usually not closed so I'm wondering if that's the problem. Consistently this has been the best poke place in riverside. I'm never disappointed, the customer service is great, this salmon has a distinct great taste and their vegetables are always so fresh. For toppings, they have 13 toppings during the step 3 after the poke style and base. At the end they have 5 more different toppings you can put on top as well! Going to more details of fish. Came here yesterday for the first time. Having going to Pokilicious for the past year, I was curious how Ave would compare. The flavoring: sauces, depths of flavor at Ave is better than Licious. Licious is wayyy too bland, and I've also thought this way about them. I really like that the rice at Ave is sushi rice also; rice marinated with vinegar. This makes the taste like a true sashimi rice bowl. Some critiques; Poki Ave, take notes!: the scoops to portion the fishes are laughable. They are the size of a melon baller and each scoop picks up like 3 pieces of fish because the scoop itself is wayyy too small. From a marketing point of view, the scoops are just ridiculous. It makes the businesses owners seem stingy. Either find new scoops or find a different method to portion. Licious scoops are wayyy more generous and other patrons will agree. I will give this place a few more tries because I like the flavor of their poki. But if they want to compete, they need to learn to be less stingy. read more

Poke Bistro was the first place that I've ever had Poke and it's the only place I've been going to! They offer so many types of toppings and sauces! They also have a lot of fish to choose from. I usually get a regular bowl, even though the portion size seems small, it's enough to fill me up! They don't limit on toppings and the fish is really fresh so it's worth paying for. I normally get brown rice, a lot of the toppings, and the Hawaiian salmon and tuna. There's a lot of sauces to choose from but I usually just get their house sauce (ponzu and sesame oil) for the fish, and spicy mayo and eel sauce drizzled on top like a sushi roll. They also have additional toppings like sesame seeds, masago, furikake, and nori, which is great! The food here tastes so fresh and delicious!! Will always come by when I need my Poke fix! read more

We've tried all of the poke places in the area: Pokilicious, Ahi Poke Bowl, Poke Bar.And this place by far takes the cake. They do not charge extra for avocado or crab meat and a regular bowl is 3 scoops at a reasonable $8 price range. Opposed to Ahi Poke's regular bowl being only 2 scoops for a dollar more. Meat selection is awesome, they even have grilled eel! The sauces are pretty standard amongst all poke places. Also, you can't beat the free fountain drink when you check in! We've earned 2 free bowls using their rewards program in a matter of a little over a month. Definitely gonna miss this place when we're done with college and move elsewhere :( read more

Right as you walk in, you're greeted by the workers and you can tell that the place is kept clean; floors are swept, condiments and cups are placed in a convenient area! The workers were very patient and helpful when I went to make a bowl; they answered any questions I had and were efficient. The workstation they had looked very clean and organized as well, you could see all the toppings, fish, and sauce easily. I always get a large, with extra white rice, 2 scoops of salmon 2 scoops of tuna and 2 scoops of shrimp (the extra scoop is well worth it). And if you plan on eating in, they give you green tea ice cream to cleanse your palate. Every visit is a wonderful experience. I recommend this place to all of my friends and family when we talk about where we want to eat. The only thing that I wish that they would change is they used to play music, which they have discontinued recently. I really hope they bring that back! However, Poke Bistro has a Hawaiian tuna that tastes very close to being legit Hawaiian poke :'). You can choose as many toppings as you want, which is awesome because some places can be so stingy with that. My only complaint is that the seaweed salad tasted a bit chemically. Amidst the sudden explosion of poke places that have emerged in Moreno Valley and Riverside over the past several years, I have been disappointed far more times than I've been impressed. Additionally, within a ~1 mile radius of Poke Bistro, there are at least 3 other poke places that I've tried, but Poke Bistro easiliy takes the cake. Firstly, the customer service is stellar. While I've never really had poor customer service experiences at the other places, there's a certain energy and pep that gets added to the vibe that the other places cannot boast. The manager, Debbie, was the source of that energy and pep, making my first visit to Poke Bistro very enjoyable and the first of many to come. Secondly, the quality of the ingredients is great. The fish were all fresh and cold (I hate warm salmon!), and the other toppings were fresh and delicious as well.
