We were there during lunch, expected a pretty big bowl of poki goodness, but we were sort of disappointed. While the ingredients were fresh, the sauces were lacking. There wasn't enough sauce, AND the sauce lacked flavor. That made the poki bowl lost its colors. Also, it wasn't a good portion for what we paid. It wasn't a full lunch... Lastly, the workers there were not really helpful. Usually I don't comment on things involving people unless it really makes a difference, but in this case it did. Being a first time customer here, while there were no other customers in the shop at the time, I felt rushed by the person helping me. Walked in and there were no customers there, and it took a while for the woman behind the counter to come out to help me. She looked very annoyed and had an airpod in one ear. She gave me short, blunt questions with an annoyed and dismissive attitude like there was nothing she would like more than for me to just leave. When I asked about the sauces all she said was check the sign instead of explaining to me what was in them as there was nothing listed on the sign above her. We decided to try Poke Bowl & it seems like the "Build your own" concept is popping up everywhere. From Chipotle to Pie Five to Brown Rice and now we have a Poke Bowl in Bel Air which is great! Fresh ingredients and seafood for protein (no red meat. Chicken, Pork here which is fine as there are plenty of places for that) We ordered a couple of Build your own bowls, House Classic Bowl and the Crazy Poke Burrito. All were very happy with their selections except one who wanted less rice and more greens. Also, if you want extra protein it's $3.50 per portion and that can add up pretty fast as one of the bowls was $18. All of the staff were very helpful with explaining the choices and helping us with ordering. We will definitely be back! read more

Great poke place. It's located in a strip mall. Very friendly and lots of your usual options for poke. My only small complaint is it's a bit overpriced. I'm used to getting two proteins in a standard create your own bowl, but this came with one. Not a huge deal, but was a few more dollars than expected. I had one in downtown D.C with three proteins for the same price. Other than that it's a great place to go to get your poke fix. read more

Yes, this location still has great food but recently their attitudes have been sub par. I am unsure what had happened but they don't stay consistent with greeting you (even when you are the only one in the establishment), they are getting extremely skimpy when you ask for extra of something, they will continue making the online offers while yet not telling you to give them a minute (don't you see people standing in front of you?), it seems like a rushed attitude to get you out. I really use to enjoy speaking with the family but now things seem to have changed with them. My recent bowl was halfway full due to the cut back but the higher prices. I understand times may be tough, but the skimping is a shock from their normal servings and generosity especially when some extras you have to pay for. I truly hope they can get it back together so their rating can go back up. Just note I will visit less frequently. read more

In and out can't say much bad about the place Seems like one of the most "authentic" poke bowls in the area, I stuck w my "usual"- except this time chose tofu-imho, waste of $3 I was born and bred vegetarian for 20+yrs and still have no idea why people eat plain tofu. Some folk say rice is tasteless. I totally disagree. But tofu, unless marinated or injected or cooked in (deeply) some seasoning. It is a pointless flavorless piece of protein. Should just gone with the vegetarian-ended up not eating half of the fried tofu. I are half because I kept hoping it would get better. It didn't. If you just crave protein add extra edamame. If you crave some warmth-get brown rice The rest of the toppings were on point: mango, seeded jalepenos meant not hot , and the rest were all fresh, crunchy, and with plenty of natural taste. I truly enjoyed coming here. Being a new fan of the Poke Bowl ; this one is Bel Air stands above the rest by the sauce they mix with the protein before topping your dish. Please check out the pictures of what I choose from the menu and what the final bowl looked like. It came out perfect and I ate the whole bowl out of delicious compulsion as opposed to it not being filling. Bonus: take the bowl home and wash and reuse for the earth conscious. Not pacific islander endorsed. To a Marylander, used to eating sushi, fine food and good Hawaiian food, Poke Bowl will be a disappointment. Prices are a little pricey for what you get. You do get a lot of rice, a lot cucs but they skimp on the other ingredients - masago, sesame, scallions and most importantly the fish. It reminded me of my grandparents back in the islands eating a slice of fish with a ton of rice. Disappointing also was that other iconic Hawaiian ingredients were not offered - Maui onions and seaweed. My 8 year, does not sushi, did not have a kid's menu to order from, common among poke places. So, we got her tempura shrimp on top of rice. It was more like Katsu shrimp more than a light tempura batter. For $10+ may not be your cup of tea. First timers may like it, the food is refreshing, and you are offered a variety of toppings to make your bowl like a salad. It's both nutritious and light. The food here is good and deserves a high rating, it's delicious and fresh. However, the reason for less stars is because of every experience I've had there. The employee behind the counter is the most unpleasant person to interact with. They constantly seem like they are annoyed that they are having to work. I've been in multiple times to order food, being one of the only customers in the establishment and always feel rushed to order my food. Of course I've considered them maybe having a bad day, we all do, but every single time it has been the same. I visited Poke Bowl on the recommendation of several friends, many of whom called it the best restaurant in Bel Air. After having my first meal there last night I have to say this may be one of the most unique and satisfying meals I've ever had! Upon entering and walking up to the counter, I was surprised the quality of the ingredients that they were using: fresh proteins (shrimp, ahi tuna, etc.), expertly cut veggies, fruits and garnishes. They put my meal together as I watched (you go through the line like at Chipotle or Subway), and I was so excited to eat...I guess you really do eat with your eyes first. My Poke Bowl (which you can also have as a burrito if you choose) did not disappoint! Fresh, delicious and totally satisfying. I can not wait to eat there again. I wish they had a club card where I could get a free meal after I buy 10, because I'm going to enthusiastically frequent this establishment. Try this place and see what all the hype is about. Poke bowl is amazing. They have so many options to make it to your own taste, I personally love the tempura shrimp.
