Build Your Own Half and Half Poke Bowl
    Julie W.

Got a half half bowl for $16. The bowl had white rice (btw there IS sushi rice), spicy ahi, salmon, and some other stuff. Wasn't a fan of the fact that avocado seaweed salad etc was all +1.5$ whereas other places don't charge extra for other toppings and come out to cheaper prices ~$13 (#okipoke). Overall, ok poke (skimped on the fish) didn't like the price, but decent place.

Super yummy food, lots of options and price reasonably. Kind staff when ordering and the interior was great. Smaller portions but still delicious.

Two poke bowls and two green teas

The food is great here, both the rice and salad were amazing, with plenty of fresh fish and veggies for me to choose from, the service was quick and easy. I would have to compare it to a chipotle. You pick what you want and they put it in the bowl. And last the vibe was very cute and smelled like delicious fish and veggies. It lived up to the sign. Fresh, fast, healthy!

Perfectly cooked...perfect amount of french fries and plenty of ketchup (on the table!). What more can I ask for? I haven't visited the Lobster Claw in close to 10 years. However, I was in Andover recently and passed thru N. Reading on the way home. We happened to drive by the Claw and I kept it in my mind to re-visit soon. The location is newer than I remember. It has been recently painted, new seating, lighting and ordering area. I love that they have plenty of ketchup on each table. I feel like that goes a long way to their commitment to their customers. The food was tasty. I really enjoyed my visit Vibe: family fun location Coke/Pepsi; Coke Parking: Plenty Price: Fair market (I did not get Clams) Service: Excellent *****

Been going here for years, rarely disappointed. Recently they were closed for "renovations" for awhile. That might also mean they changed hands, sold out. In my experience, that is never a good sign, the new owners will surely ruin a good thing, they'll cut back on quality, raise prices, and change the recipes. My best guess is that's what happened to The Lobster Claw. Or they just went downhill. Went here last week for lunch. Walked in, where am I?! They now have a big divider between the seating area and ordering. You're corralled into this area first. The giant blackboard menu is gone. Now they have a small, cramped, menu above the register. I had to squint to read it all. I gave the girl my order which she got wrong THREE times. The Calamari basket, well done I said. I always used to tell them well done because it tastes better and the breading doesn't slide off the fish. Now where do I go to pick up my food when it's done? There's a sign that say's "Takeout Pickup" next to the register. Is that all one word, or for takeout orders and picking up what you just ordered? So I wandered aimlessly out of the dividing area and into the dining area. A window at the end with a sign, "BEER AND WINE." Is that where I go or is that for ordering booze and paying for it? So I sat down at a table and waited for my number to be called. I got my food pretty quick. I asked the new kid, looks like the old staff was not there anymore, for a lid and a bag for my thimbleful cup of chowder, that cost $7.00 by the way, to take home. He acted like I was inconveniencing him. This is after he plopped the tray down and spilled some of the chowder broth onto the tray. Thanks a lot Junior! Sat down to eat. Calamari...not well done. In fact it looked and tasted under done. It was chewy, and the breading was falling off. ONE tarter sauce with it. They used to give out two and then asked you if that was enough. Saving money for the renovations are we? The fries under the Calamari were soggy, greasy, cold, and under cooked as well. I didn't finish my meal obviously because to be frank, it sucked. Later on at home I tried the fish chowder. Maybe at least that will be the saving grace. Nope. It was the consistency of oatmeal, like it was put in a blender. Bland and watery as well. $ 30.00 I'm out for a meal that I could have got at Market Basket for one third the price for frozen fish sticks and a can of chowder that would have tasted better than that disaster. Next time I'm in the area and want some fish, I'll be going to McDonald's for a Filet-O-Fish meal instead. And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust...don't let them get you too.

The prices seem to be going up at an alarmingly fast rate, but the quality has not. Additionally, we've always been ones to avoid suburban steak houses, feeling they're not as good as their city counterparts. Well, Eddy Vs has proved us wrong in that way of thinking. We've come here twice now in recent months, both on Saturday nights, and the place was full on packed both times. We were able to grab bar seating each time and have had two amazing experiences. First off, the service is second to none. Second, they have a "happy hour" menu that pretty much runs all night with $9 glasses of good wine, $10 cocktails, and discount apps. But the most important win is the food. Everything we've tried has been absolute top notch, prepared to perfection, from the steak tartare, to the lamb lollipops, to the filet mignon. We will be making the very easy decision to return here when we're craving steak going forward.

We visited on a very busy night, which is always a good sign. We were lucky to time a seat opening at the bar and we quickly jumped on it. While seated, we could see how busy the bartenders were filling drink orders for both the bar and restaurant patrons. We did not order an appetizer so we jumped right in to drinks and dinner. Our bartender was awesome with follow up and service. Our orders were a hamburger and fries (see pic) and a roasted veggie salad (see pic). We shared some onion rings, as well. My wife got a glass of wine and I had water with a lemon. We did not get a dessert, as the main dish was plenty. Vibe: definitely a happening place in Chelmsford Price: Average Pepsi/Coke: Not sure Parking: Plenty...be sure to check out back of restaurant Service: fantastic! The seafood casserole was decadent with plenty of scallops and shrimp. SERVICE: Nina was excellent. Ensured we had everything we needed, patient with an elderly party member and took photos which came out really nice! BAR: The Bloody Mary had just the right amount of mix and alcohol and was loaded with fresh garnish - 3 jumbo olives, a shrimp and lemon and lime wedges. ATMOSPHERE: It was chilly as we arrived (March), warmed up a bit as more patrons entered. Of course, it does have the aroma of a fish restaurant. Parking is in the back, the entrance is before the restaurant. We missed it the first time around as the parking sandwich board sign was behind the white picket fence. A little inconvenient as we had to then go all the way around the center for a second time. I suspect if the sidewalk was shoveled, the sign would be out there and more visible. There is a parking sign with an arrow on the building, but it is in front of the restaurant walkway entrance, so by the time you see it you likely passed the parking lot entrance.

Both are exquisite and spicy in their own way. I enjoy the heat. Let Martha know. For my main course; I opted for the shrimp marsala - it felt like a wild choice for the evening. But I was feeling reckless -- in a culinary sense, that is. The Marsala was cooked to perfection, James! Noodles of zucchini. Burp! Veggo. The shrimp was juicy and flavorful. We got a bunch if appetizers - started with the calamari which just has such a good flavor with the marinara and cherry pepper rings in it, then the crab rangoon dip which was okay but not my favorite, the portion was really small with a ton of a chips but no dip. We also got the crispy green beans which are exactly what you expect, I do wish they had a bit more seasoning because I don't love the wasabi dipping sauce they come with. We then got the jalapeno and bacon wrapped scallops, as well as the seared pork gyozas which are by far the best appetizer on the menu - the chili slaw it lays on has the most insane flavor and the crispy outside of the gyoza is just to die for. We all got various meals but me and a friend split the hot honey salmon sushi roll and the umami veggie sushi roll - both were amazing!! I will always get the umami, as basic as it is the flavor is just unreal. Only negative thing I have to say is that the service was very very slow, for a Monday night at 7pm, it was busy but not busy enough to not be greeted at the table for 25 minutes, then wait for drinks for 20 minutes and then not get to put our order in until an hour of sitting at the table, so that was a bit disappointing but first time we have had this issue.
