We found this place about five years ago, and it's been our go-to sushi spot ever since. We can't really comment on the rest of the menu because we always order sushi, and honestly, we've never been disappointed. Everything is always fresh, delicious, and made with care. The restaurant recently changed ownership, and we were so happy to see it's still family-owned. The new family has done a great job keeping everything we loved about this place while making a few nice improvements. We're so glad this little local gem is still here. Came here recently to try out their lunch menu. The restaurant is really cozy and was quite busy on a Sunday lunchtime. I grabbed the maki lunch special which was a spicy tuna roll and a salmon avocado roll. It came with a salad and miso. The salad was delicious, the peanut dressing was really good. The tools were light and fresh and tasty. I ordered the spider web maki roll as an extra roll, because I love short shell crab. It was also delicious! read more

The Tall Man and I were craving sushi in the Burlington Mall area, and Ginger Cuisine hit the spot. This is a sleek and clean place with a lunch crowd, but we were able to get a table easily on a weekend. I got the maki lunch combo and requested two salmon avocado rolls instead of one salmon avocado roll and a spicy tuna roll. It was $2-3 extra, but well worth it for a gluten free option (spicy tuna usually has tempura flakes mixed in). The salmon was super fresh, and it was easily filling without being heavy on the rice. The Tall Man got the sashimi lunch, which was equally fresh and had a good amount of variety. He also got a hot sake, which came in a generous portion. Been ordering here for the past two years. Good is always delicious. Great service! We came in for pick up on Valentine's Day. Ginger was extremely busy. Non stop orders kept coming in and they were short staffed. My order took a bit longer but I didn't care. It's a family owned restaurant and food is always great. I love ginger and have been coming here for years. The food is excellent. However, tonight, the service was abyssmal. The waitress could not understand us, seemed to critique our choices and had to run back to her manager so many times. The experience was awful. Casual japanese restaurant that we enjoy going as a family. I love their hand rolls especially the ones wrapped in cucumber without the rice. The place is fairy spacious and never too busy with parking which is a plus. Reason why i give this place 3 star is because there were few times i ordered uni and they were foul and have gone bad. I told the waiter that the uni was bad and she just nodded and sorry and that was the end of it. Uni is usually the priciest a la cart item and to be served bad uni and just nod and sorry is unacceptable customer service in my opinion. I couldnt eat the other piece so i left it and they still charged for the uni. This happened on two separate occasions which makes me rethink the freshness of their fish. read more

Stopped in for an early dinner and the sushi was delicious. I think this is one of the best sushi places in the area. The service was quick and friendly, and the space was set up like your typical sushi place, cute and clean. I got a spicy salmon role, and tuna and salmon sashimi. I didn't want to do this but it's for the best. Ginger has taken a major dive. The sushi is not fresh, at all. I dined on a major dinner there during a storm, and I felt sick for two days. We've been eating here on and off since I worked in the area many years ago. Its a bit out our way but it's so worth it. The sushi is consistently excellent and the service is quick. Now with Civid their takeoff doesn't disappoint. We were on the road in the area yesterday so we decided to do a hit and run and stopped by without pre-ordering. The response was super quick and excellent. We ordered a TON of food from sushi to maki to cooked foods and everything was packed with care and delicious. They have quite a few wonderfully creative maki like the Crispy Unagi Maki, Lobster Tempura Maki and the Spicy Crispy Salmon Maki. The regular Maki is done perfectly and beautifully. Even their chicken fried rice, miso soup and Katsu Don were great. We highly, highly recommend this place. Everything we've had on the menu was exceptional, even in to-go form. read more

We have ordered take outs from here a few times now and each meal has been great. The service is excellent and the lady on the phone has always been so helpful, patiently answers all my questions and even customized dishes based on my dietary preferences. They are usually very busy for dinners especially on weekends, so make sure to take into consideration a wait time of 40-50 minutes when you place your order. Some of our favorites are: Sweet Potato Maki Kiss of Fire roll Tatsuta Age Baked Scallops Maki Scorpian Maki Shrimp Tempura Maki Shumai Yaki Soba: have only had it with veggies, but we love the flavors. As a resident of Bedford I have been ordering pick-up at Ginger for a couple of years. This restaurant represents outstanding quality; love the tuna tataki and sushi dinner among others. As a relatively small family restaurants it can compete with the best both on West and East coast. read more

This review is coming after about 6 visits to Ginger in the past 2 months. We. Are. Hooked. You can place an order online and pick up due to Covid - Easy online ordering system though pickup won't always be fast :). I think the longest we've had to wait was maybe 90 minutes on a Friday. It gets busy here so beware! If you can plan ahead, the wait is worth it! We've only really tried the sushi here. We did try the crab Rangoon equivalent and wasn't that impressed - overpriced for the qty and ratio of crispy outside to filling was off. (Im a Rangoon fanatic!) haven't reordered that here. We have gotten a bunch of sushi! Favorites are: Volcano roll Kiss of Fire Fire dragon Phili roll (I know DONT judge me but the salmon in this roll is smoky and delish... and your girl likes some cream cheese - this one hits the spot!) They DO charge $1 for each side of spicy mayo which is a BUMMER. Sushi is delish here and we will always be back! read more

Ginger Japanese is a personal favorite of mine with authentic, delicious Japanese food. I've lived in Japan previously and can say that the food provided here is authentic. The udon brought back some wonderful memories in particular. The waitstaff are always friendly and open to making suggestions. The food is great quality and the sushi always tastes fresh. They have a wide selection of sushi to choose from and guarantee anyone can find what they are looking for. In particular, I love the spicy tuna roll and the unagi (eel) roll. They have the best sushi I've ever eaten in any way in Massachusetts I have tried other locations and I'm actually not a big fan of seafood so I like the cooked sushi but I do love their shrimp tempura and they're Nagi Sushi is so good too. Oh you definitely got to try to Alligator sushi too I didn't know it was topped with you but for the first time I ate it it was really delicious. We got a variety of sashimi (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, mackerel, striped bass and octopus) and tried the scorpion roll. We paid online so there was no contact at pickup. The order was ready when they said it would be (about 20 minutes after it was placed). Everything tasted good - very fresh. The scorpion roll was really good too. The food is good quality but a bit on the pricey side. We came here to buy lunch bento boxes to go (family of four) and didn't have to wait long. However I wouldn't say the food was sensational. They were solid and good quality. The staff seemed to be Chinese and occasionally come across as stiff and curt. We went once several months back and haven't had the urge to go back again.
