Over the past couple years, the wife and I have had very hit or miss experiences going in to the city and dining at well known steak houses. The prices seem to be going up at an alarmingly fast rate, but the quality has not. Additionally, we've always been ones to avoid suburban steak houses, feeling they're not as good as their city counterparts. Well, Eddy Vs has proved us wrong in that way of thinking. We've come here twice now in recent months, both on Saturday nights, and the place was full on packed both times. We were able to grab bar seating each time and have had two amazing experiences. First off, the service is second to none. Second, they have a "happy hour" menu that pretty much runs all night with $9 glasses of good wine, $10 cocktails, and discount apps. But the most important win is the food. Everything we've tried has been absolute top notch, prepared to perfection, from the steak tartare, to the lamb lollipops, to the filet mignon. We will be making the very easy decision to return here when we're craving steak going forward. read more

Had another amazing time here, but this time we came for Valentine's Day. The food as always, is absolutely delicious. I had to get the Chilean sea bass, so well cooked and the sauce fit the fish perfectly. This time around we tried the crab fried rice and I was definitely a fan, it's gonna be a hard choice next time between that and the lobster poached mashed potatoes. It's been awhile since I've done a restaurant review, but this experience stood out. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Greeted by everyone as soon as the door opened, took my info for future visits and was promptly seated. Our server Juliana was a standout. Professional, friendly and helpful, she guided us as new guests and made excellent recommendations. Every plate that touched the table was excellent and well executed. We over ordered so when dessert was offered we declined due to full stomachs. She not only brought over a little dessert sample to us but two glasses of champagne because we were celebrating something special. One of the better steakhouses in Burlington. I've also been to the Boston location, and it absolutely did not disappoint either, consistency is clearly a strong point here. The Hope Diamond cocktail is delicious and incredibly visually pleasing, easily one of the standout drinks and worth ordering on its own. Service was excellent from start to finish, attentive without being overbearing, which really elevates the experience. The bone-in ribeye is my go-to and it never misses, perfectly cooked, flavorful, buttery, and exactly what you expect from a high-end steakhouse. Finished the night with the butter cake, which is a fantastic way to end the meal and easily one of the better desserts around. Eddie V's is our go-to anniversary spot every year without fail. This year we celebrated 22 years of marriage, and once again, they made us feel like family. Joe, who used to be our favorite server, is now in management, and it's amazing to still see him delivering meals, smiling, and supporting the team like the pro he's always been. That kind of leadership matters. Jarod was our server this year, and he was absolutely phenomenal, warm, attentive, and truly made the evening special. The food? Unmatched. We started with the Maine Lobster Tacos (buttery and flavorful) and the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake... LEGIT all crab, and no filler. For our entrées, I had the Stuffed Shrimp (packed with crab and herbs), and my husband had the salmon cooked to perfection. Sides included Brussels Sprouts, and the star of the night...the Lobster Mashed Potatoes, this was our first time trying them, and they were rich, creamy, and unforgettable. The warm bread service, chilled Acqua Panna, and elegant touches throughout made it all feel extra special. Even when the Prudential location was open (and closer to home), we made the drive to Burlington because the staff here consistently make us feel seen and valued. It's more than a dinner, it feels like visiting family for a top-tier meal. That's rare. I must really like this place as I returned a month after Easter for the Mother's Day brunch, second year in a row. The prix fixe menu was the same so I switched it up; smoked salmon appetizer and filet mignon and a frittata. Both lived up to the hype. My dining companion escheweded the brunch for ordering from the menu--salmon and a salad, which she proclaimed "delicious." The starter apple cinnamon scone was a bit of a disappointment; it was served warm but was a little dry. I started with a bellini which was perfect. This was my first visit to EV's, and my standard for exceptional service and food has always been the Capital Grille. Well, I'm here to say that Eddie has edged out my usual favorite to take the top spot! The dining room is open but not terribly noisy. The white clothed tables are elegantly set and we three were seated in a roomy round booth adjacent to the kitchen. Andy was our server and he provided exemplary service throughout our entire meal. He offered his favorites across the menu and explained features/ingredients or answered our questions. I asked about mocktails and he asked my flavor profile preference--all I said was "tropical" and he returned with the perfect beverage! The bread service is delicious and my very hungry son accepted a second delivery by Andy when he noticed it was gone! We enjoyed the fried calamari and table-side steak tartare. The Asian inspired calamari was one of the most delicious preparations I've eaten. The tartare was VERY delicious (though I prefer a finer grind on the meat to avoid needing dental floss). Our mains were filets and Chilean sea bass. Steaks were cooked perfectly. My bass was prepared in an Asian style, deliciously dense and delicious. Our sides were the harissa roasted carrots (wow!), au gratin potatoes (some of the best I've had) and the crab fried rice. The rice was flavorful and generously topped with lump crab. I wouldn't call it rice, per se. It was more of a rice porridge, but super delicious nonetheless. I will say the sides were more generously sized portions than in most steak houses. Andy presented the birthday girl with a lovely plate featuring three mini desserts (one being the bananas foster) as he flambéd the fruit. We also ordered a chocolate cake and full sized bananas foster butter cake with pecan ice cream. This is where a good pair of SPANX comes in handy. Desserts were fabulous! As I've mentioned in other reviews of comparable restaurants, when you're dining at this price point, you expect service that matches. Eddie V's is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in the Burlington area. We have had the opportunity to dine there several times and the food, service, and overall atmosphere is phenomenal every time. I truly don't think you could go wrong with any entree but here's the skinny on our choices. Tuna tartare is fresh and flavorful with a generous portion for an appetizer. We habitually order the sea bass because it's truly unique in flavor. I'm not sure what they use for seasoning but I sure do love the taste! Another have to have is the bananas foster, it's incredibly rich so save room! I would eat it for breakfast if I could! The price point is on the higher side yet typical for Burlington fine dining. For my first experience at E.V I must say it did not disappoint. I went out for my dearest friends birthday dinner. Our waiter was beyond exceptional, major shout out to Darrell who was very energetic and provided us with his perspective of items he thoroughly enjoys and we were ecstatic that we took his advice. We started off with the lobster taco and as I'm writing this my mouth is watering thinking about it. This had your guac, corn, and cotija cheese and so much more, the flavor that came from the taco was exquisite and the lobster was chef's kiss. For my entrée I had the filet medallions Oscar style, and my friend had the jumbo gulf shrimp. I love my steak medium well ( when it comes to steak hold the pink for me haha) and they cooked the steak to perfection. They had this sauce that I drizzled over the steak and the asparagus that brought everything to life. I tried my friends jumbo gulf shrimp and that was very delightful. We also ordered the au gratin potatoes and the cheese was rich and it had me in a food coma. Everything we ate was top tier, I have 0 complaints. I don't drink and ordered a guava mocktail which was very refreshing and sweet. I informed the waiter that it's my friends better and requested the banana foster desert for her and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO delicious, truly a great way to the night. The food and service here is excellent. I'm not a big fan of bar seating but even the bar is a good vibe with the live music.

Just had a nice meal there. We split a seafood tower, another appetizer and asparagus. The service was good. What wasn't so good is we sat in the lounge area and the trio they have (very good) had the volume too high to the point that the bass guitar would reverberate badly. No one seemed to notice, though there were few people in the lounge, more in the more distant restaurant section, and that might have been the reason. The manager should catch this and get them to adjust, just a little. It would make a world of difference. I don't live in the area, but would be willing to try another Eddie V one day. I imagine this is just a case of an inattentive manager. read more

Eddie V's is a spectacular restaurant. Our family of thirteen including five children under eight dined there yesterday for Mother's Day Brunch. They seated us in a private room which we had not asked for, but were so thrilled to have. It relieved the stress of worrying about the children disturbing other diners while we were able to enjoy each other's company. Had another incredible dinner @ Eddie V's Saturday night 1/10/26! My girlfriend Jeneen & I dine here often and always have a great dinner, but this time was even better! We had the good fortune of having Tabytha Wallace as our server who was assisted by Mich ( both are excellent )! Lets start off with our drinks & food: I had a Golden Hour & she had a Pomegranate Mule (both were expertly mixed and went down nice & easy)... We started off with a 1/2 dozen oysters (3 Blue Point & 3 Jimmy Fund Golds) we have had the Blue Points in the past and they were great but this was our first time trying the Jimmy Fund Golds which were sooooo good, we both loved them and hope they stay on the menu! Our entrée selections were the Norwegian Salmon & the Parmesan Sole ( the sole was the STAR OF THE SHOW) accompanied by a side of the excellent crab fried rice. From my first bite I was in heaven, it was so light and tasty, the lemon-butter garlic sauce was divine & the panko breading was so delicious, (I was so happy I tried it and told Tabyhta it was "the best sole I have ever tasted!!") Tabytha & Mich both took such good care of us, Tabytha welcomed us back and she made sure we had an excellent dinner and topped it off by giving us complimentary tiny portions of the bananas foster & creme brulee which was a very nice touch and we both greatly appreciated it!! This is a favorite restaurant for sure. We always get the type of table we request in the reservation, decorated appropriately when it is an occasion! The food is delicious making it hard to make selections. I always peruse the dessert menu first, then choose my dinner second. The crab fried rice (forget what it's called) is delicious and unusual. In addition we had a tuna entree, scallops and lobster tacos. This is where I took away the fifth star. The seafood was excellent, but I do not like polenta which came with the scallops and there was no option to switch it. The meyer lemon tart, was beyond my expectations. My husband and I reserved a table at Eddie V's because this was a milestone Birthday celebration, we celebrate his Birthday every year with a seriously $ expensive dinner, it's our one night a year to experience what's new and exciting and/or whom has longevity and why in the restaurant industry. My husband is a retired head chef so this is a special treat to be on the other side of the business. We read countless positive reviews about the place, and a friend had been recently raving about the food, unfortunately I must disagree with the food reviews. The decor is reminiscent of a hotel lobby from the 80's, but that's not why I took the time to write this review. We called ahead to ask for a table far away from the main dining room, my husband is partially deaf, they were great about our request and sat us in a nice cozy corner of a smaller room. We immediately saw the table was decorated with paper stars this was above and beyond, which is also how I would describe our server, JULIANA WAS FANTASTIC! it nearly felt like she was celebrating with us, GOLD STAR SERVER! As was the other staff attending to our needs, excellent service all the way around!!! However, I was very disappointed with the food, the main reason for choosing this restaurant. I grew up on my grandfather's fishing boat and have been lucky to have access to fresh seafood. I know the difference between fresh, frozen and canned. I ordered the crab cake and shrimp cocktail, the shrimp was only just edible, previously frozen, dry and had a texture as though it made contact with a paper towel and some of it stuck, the crab in the crab cake was canned, It was loaded with crab, & something spicy that shouldn't be in it, reminded me of out of date 'old bay seasoning'. I tried to eat it but I couldn't stand the tin can and overly doused OB taste nor the strange gray shade of it. We tried the seafood tower, another huge disappointment! Zero FRESH seafood on it apart from the oysters, ( we hope )my husband reports they were ok. My husband's steak was decent, a let down for price, but edible. The soft warm bread and butter with chives for our table was the best thing we ate! We enjoyed the wonderful cocktails and wine. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine and had spot on suggestions. We ordered the Banana Foster dessert that everyone raved about, we thought it was ok but not something praiseworthy. They have done a lot correctly, however, for a Seafood & Steak speciality restaurant, the FOOD was disappointing, they're not serving the worst, however there's much room for FOOD improvements. We ended up canceling our original reservation and booking a last-minute table at Eddie V's--and honestly, best decision ever. I'd tried the Philly location for the first time recently and loved it, plus this one was much closer to our hotel. Win-win. We were celebrating the end of a great year at a remote store we only see a couple of times annually, so the night already felt special... and then Parker, our server, made it even better. He was incredibly sweet and attentive the entire evening. We asked for oyster recommendations, couldn't make up our minds, and he just said, "I got you." He built our dozen with four different varieties so we could taste around. SO thoughtful. When it came to sides, we were indecisive (shocking, I know), picked two... and somehow two more "accidentally" showed up on the table, one being another request that we didn't go for which he wasn't around to hear it, so we were even more surprised to see it. Dessert was the same energy. We ordered the Crème Brûlée and the Chocolate Belgian, and he surprised us with a third--Bananas Foster. Every single dish was amazing. Came here for the first time the other night for a date night and had a wonderful experience. There is plenty of self parking, you can valet your car as well. We were sat at one of their booths right next to the kitchen, table was nicely set. Our wait was very friendly, even offering to bring us likes or lemons for our waters. We got cocktails to start, I had the 24 karat which has a sugar rim, so it gets sticky pretty quickly but it was very tasty. To eat I had the filet mignon, I'm not kidding when I say it was the most perfectly cooked steak I've ever had. I also ordered a sauce to go with it, I had the cognac peppercorn crème, which was a really nice accompaniment to the perfect steak. We shared the au gratin potatoes and Brussel sprouts, portion sizes were perfect for two. We shared the banana fosters cake which was flambéed table-side and while very tasty, you may want to avoid looking at the calorie count . We've never been to Eddie V's before but always heard only good reviews about them. It was my husband's birthday last night so I took the initiative to surprise him with reservations since he is a steakhouse lover. The vibe here is so intimate but also high end. The big chandelier in the center is so pretty. Darrell was our server tonight and he did such an amazing job at making the night lively and even decorated our table with a happy birthday card and some stars. He recommended the jumbo crab cakes over the calamari and it was so good. It had a hint of spice, although in my preference I wish it was spicier, and the softness of the crab meat was melting in my mouth. Absolutely loved it. We got our steaks cooked medium and to my surprise, it was so easy to cut through! Usually places like Longhorn and Cheesecake have steaks that are a little tough to cut, but here it was so easy! Not to mention the steak was not tough in the slightest! So easy to chew because it just melted in my mouth! I added some king crab legs to mine and I loved the taste of the butter on the crab meat, it just enhanced the flavor. Omg the lobster mashed potatoes were so gooey and so good. They definitely mixed mozzarella or something in the mashed potatoes because every time I scooped some out, the cheese was STRINGING. And the lobster claws were not tough at all, so soft. For drinks I got the love jewel and my husband got the Java (?) . It's so strong ;( Like I would be able to finish mine but that's if I spent all night there taking 1mL sips every 5 mins.
