Poke City - great poke bowls, fresh & easy to customize the ingredients. Tonight I tried the 2 Choices of Poke Bowl by Poke City - tried a new combo - spicy & regular yellowtail, add cilantro, masago, seaweed salad, siracha mayonnaise, roasted seaweed and ponzu sauce and half brown, half sushi rice. The brown rice was especially tasty. ** Need to ask for chopsticks for takeout/ delivery (I remember NYC has a no more utensils food delivery law). Delicious Hamachi & a lot of extras too.

A great deal! I got 3 proteins: salmon, spicy yellowtail and octopus salad. Added so many toppings and got the citrus miso sauce over the organic mixed greens. I was skeptical of the unlimited toppings but the sweet girl really tried to make it all fit. My avocado was at least 1/3 of a whole avocado. Everything tasted fresh and i love how you can customize it. Circle what you want on the menu and it'll be so fast for them to make. Love that the bowls are paper. They have a table w three chairs and two stools by the window. They have sushi too but didn't even look.

I had forgotten I've been to this place and was disappointed. I'm glad I did because I was very happy with the bowl I got this time. I especially love how thin the zucchini noodles are. I was very satisfied with my bowl as well. Can't wait to have it again.

I found Poke City on UberEats, but never ordered from there although I was curious about it & ironically there was a Poke City right in the neighborhood. I ordered the "Salmon Love Bowl" which came with spicy salmon, avocado, mango, corn, green onion, spicy mayo & honey wasabi sesame seeds & I added in fish eggs & picked sushi rice. The combination of everything just went together perfectly. There was a little heat from the spicy mayo, sweetness from the mango, creaminess from the avocado & it all was perfect. It was fulfilling, yet didn't make me have that full, bloated feeling. I'm so happy there's a Poke City near by because I definitely will be returning!

Ordered delivery via Postmates and I think I've found my new go to takeout spot. I got a custom bowl with two proteins (salmon and ahi tuna), with avocado, seaweed salad, kale, kimchi, cucumber, green onion, sesame seeds, and garlic crunch as the toppings. The kimchi was *so* good. Great flavors and not spicy, which I appreciated because I wasn't looking for a spicy kimchi poke bowl tonight. The seaweed salad is great as well. I like that they let you choose 1/2 base options so I could get 1/2 sushi rice 1/2 spring mix as opposed to only one or the other. The portions are pretty generous, in my opinion. And I got the miso soup which was very good. Will definitely be coming back here!

Small local spot offering Poke Bowls and Sushi as well. Loved how fast they put together our order once we placed it online. By the time I got there, it was ready to go! All fish tasted very fresh and so did the toppings. Love the fish to rice ratio, very filling bowl but not overwhelming! The bowls range from 13 to 15ish dollars, which was not bad considering the quality of ingredients. Staff were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed (chopsticks, soy sauce, napkins). Really nice experience and we will be back very soon!

If you poke, you should Poke City. I'm done with trying others as Poke City has the most consistent, highest quality fish and the best prepared poke bowls you can get in the greater downtown Brooklyn area. Sure, the delivery "fee of $2" is annoying considering 97% of other app ordering are free coupled with the fact that they close early (last order by 8:30pm) means you better plan early. I will say they are expedient with delivery (though have forgotten to look at the apartment number and lazily called instead). What doesn't disappoint is their bowls or their standard fare sushi (says my wife). They have the right sized pieces of fish and toppings along with the right balance of rice (and an option to mix brown and white!). Their sauces are flavorful and the herbs (toppings like cilantro) are fresh and abundant. Double bonus that they use fully compostable containers (at least for their poke bowls). This should be on your short list the next time you're in the mood for a bowl of Poke.

This place has everything a great lunch spot needs--speedy service, generous portions, reasonable prices, and of course good food. I wandered in here around lunchtime and expected a line, but to my delight, I didn't have to wait at all! The way it works is you create your own bowl--you choose from a few rice options, lots of protein options, and an overwhelming array of sides. You pick one rice and 2-3 proteins, and unlimited toppings! If that's not bang for your buck idk what is. I almost panicked at the sight of the smorgasbord of toppings, but eventually picked a decent combination. Special shoutout to the mango--I feel like sometimes these kinds of places serve under ripe mango but my mango was perfectly ripe and juicy. All the toppings and proteins tasted super fresh. The portion size was also pretty large--I couldn't quite finish the whole thing and I got a small. The woman working there was also very nice and patient while I very slowly decided what I wanted. Overall I was highly satisfied with this place. I think, though, that it would be really helpful if they offered a few pre-selected poke bowl options to make the ordering process easier. read more

This is the second time I came here since it opened. The portions are generous and they have zucchini noodles/ zoodles as a base. The lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile and immediately obliged by filling my bowl with the 2 protein poke bowl components and as many toppings as I wanted. She gave extra when I asked for more oshinko and siracha on the side. Proteins look and taste very fresh. read more

One of the best and most cost effective poke bowls I've ever had. Ordered the custom 2 protein bowl-- spicy tuna and salmon, avocado, masago, cucumber, corn, seaweed salad, edamame, citrus miso sauce and crispy onions on top. When I say it was the bomb-- it was SO FREAKING GOOD!!! To top it off it only cost $12!! You can't beat that. read more

I see that most of the reviews here are extremely positive and maybe it was me or the day I went, but this was not one of the best poke bowls ever. I think the set up and style remind me more of a Subway situation and thus, things just felt artificial. One positive is that you get a generous amount and there are lots of different options, with unlimited toppings. However, I've eaten a better Poke Bowl from The Juice Shop in the neighborhood, and their ingredients just taste more fresh. The salmon didn't have good consistency, and the rice just wasn't as tasty here. To reiterate: Positives: Portion size Price Unlimited toppings Negatives: Taste Quality of fish (I had salmon) Setup (reminiscent of Subway) I probably won't eat there again, but there are some people who might enjoy this! read more

I'm actually pretty shocked at all the 5-star reviews. My BF and I ate here and got sick. Maybe the fish was ok.. but maybe not so much the other ingredients or the sauces. Nothing tasted off, but obviously something was. We didn't have the same toppings. The only common ingredients in our bowls were the tuna, salmon, and rice. I had a tummy upset. He had the full on runs. Definitely not going back. A first and last time for us. read more

A friend of mine has become a regular here already! She lives the poke and says it's worth every penny. I had to try it out and see if it was just hype of really that good. Well it was very good and despite the sticker shock. Since the ingredients are very fresh and the flavor is superb I won't gripe too much about the cost. If you want to have salad instead of rice I would warn you to get detailed info about their dressings if you're on a low carb or Keto diet- they all seem to have some sugar in them. If you're a regular eating person then it's not biggie and you won't nori e the sugar/carbs. The portions are a good size and you don't feel like you paid a lot of money for a side salad or one tapas sized dish . I was full but not in a gross way when I finished my meal. I got Taki and shrimp extra scoop of shrimp, Seaweed salad, Mango, Avocado, Cucumber, Edamame and Tomato. I will return but no time soon. read more

Amazing spot to grab poke - My fiancé and I were craving for sushi and made an impromptu stop at poke city in downtown Brooklyn. They are doing take out and delivery only at this time and we're so glad they're open. We both ordered the salmon love bowl and it was packed to the brim with delicious goodness: salmon, spicy salmon, corn, avocado, mayo and all kinds of wonderful surprises. Respectably they did not skimp on ingredients or portion size and it was an incredible deal for the price. Fresh fish, large portions, affordable prices - poke city is everything I never knew I needed. They serve the perfect poke bowl and I will be back, hungry for more! read more

Finally found this good poke spot near my office. I haven't been able to find one ever since I started working in Brooklyn. I got the 3 choice option with spicy salmon, salmon, and tuna. Got seaweed toppingsband a whole bunch of other stuff. Really happy with the price and the amount of sides I got. It was fresh and delicious, so I know I'll definitely be back. read more

Let me be one of the firsts to review this spot. I sure hope it lasts, not many places do in this location. The Poke bowls are excellent!!! You can choose from 2 sizes, as well as all your toppings. Everything is neat, clean and most of all - FRESH. The staff is super nice and friendly which is great since the food is serviced in an assembly line (think Chipotle) Overall I'm super pleased with the overall quality of the sushi (that makes or breaks a spot). Definitely a place to check out for lunch or dinner since it's quick easy and healthy. read more

The best poke I've had in New York! You can get so much fresh, delicious food for dirt cheap here. Toppings like mango and avocado, which are usually extra, are included when you order a poke bowl. Wow, thanks Yelp. I was craving for poke on a sunday night and I cant believe this little gem opened up in brooklyn heights. Its definitely better than Pokebap in Williamsburg. I went for the big bowl because they have $2 off special on right now. I had salmon, tuna, yellowtail with avocado, mango, octopus, seaweed, fried onion, edamame, cilantro, green onion, roes topped off with wasabi yuzu sauce. Everything is so fresh, and my friend also loves his poke. Note, the space is small I can see it seats 6 to 8 people only. Really hope this place do well. Will be back very soon. read more

Generous toppings and sides most of them free of charge, good prices and free avocado! I really like this spot, it was about a block from my office before we moved. I used to go here 2-3 times a week if not more. Poke bowls are tasty, large and good price, many options to customize. I will confess I never tried the sushi, finding the price to for rolls to be a bit high compared to what I am used to and the options for rolls to be very limited. I also never tried the miso soup. My favorite sauce is the special sauce and sometimes I will get it with the spicy mayo. read more

Fav spot for poke in brooklyn so far. Usually poke restaurant are super expensive and even more if you're ordering delivery but this place is so affordable and tasty. Fresh fish and great quality. Recently tried the sushi and it's also great. Would definitely recommend Delivery through Seamless takes forever but that's the app's fault, however, food is always on point read more

Fast delivery which was appreciated, but this was probably one of the worst poke bowls I've ever had. I ordered the salmon lover bowl and while the fish wasn't bad, it was doused in a weird tasting spicy mayo sauce that just didn't taste good at all. Probably my bad as I usually don't order spicy mayo with my poke bowls... and now I know to definitely avoid in the future. read more

I barely leave reviews, most places more or less meet my expectations. Poke City is a rare exception. Fresh, delicious ingredients and good portions. Especially compared with other choices in the area, it's a cut above. I just wish they had longer hours. read more

The food overall tasted good, like any poke bowl place in my opinion. However, they were cheap with the portions, or at least the person helping me was. I was literally watching him counting pieces. I also felt like the cashier was a little rude to me? I didn't realize I had to sign the paper, and she had a somewhat nasty look on her face. Then I'm sitting there eating my food as I over hear her kindly asking people to sign. I don't know how I feel about that. The price was average. For the customer service, I don't think it was worth it. read more

Poke City is the BEST. The greatest poke I have ever had, hands down. I have ordered from here countless times and have never once had a bad experience. The fish is phenomenal and fresh, the delivery is unbelievably fast, and the spicy mayo is to die for (my weakness). You get a lot of food for the price, the restaurant is clean, and everything is so delicious. I am so glad you are still open through COVID-19 and I can't wait to continue to support you for as long as I live in Brooklyn. Keep it up, I love you guys! read more

These noodles were firm, bouncy, and surrounded by this spicy broth. These Shiitake Mushroom were huge. These plump shrimp were tender. The portions were huge. You should definitely try the fresh fruit/tea selections. The Mango Slushee teas were AMAZING. I would visit again just for the tea selections. Seriously, this was a win. A little pricey for lunch, but definitely worth it.

We also enjoyed the umami deliciousness that is their miso soup and topped everything off with a Daifuku (a large mochi filled with bean paste). We got the regular flavor and after popping it in the freezer for a little, was the perfect end to dinner. I wish they had more sushi options but either way, I'd love to come back here and try their rice bowls (Chirashi), which I believe are their speciality.

Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.

This sushi spot is a decent option for takeout, especially if you're in the area. There isn't much seating, so it's not ideal for dining in, but the food comes out quickly. I had the sushi and thought it was enjoyable, and it looks like the poke bowls are a popular choice among other customers. Unfortunately, the service was underwhelming--the girl at the register was a bit rude and seemed to have an attitude. That definitely took away from the experience. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but it's fine for a quick bite if I happen to be nearby. read more
