My Rice Bowl with Variety of Mixed-In Ingredients & Toppings
    Lonnie K.

Conveniently located by the L train like a block away. They seem to have good business and I do see crowds gathering outside from Pokeworks during lunchtime. Fast service from friendly and helpful staff. It's a smaller space compared to the one in Herald Square, but there're still 5 seats on the side and 4 towards the front. You can either choose to make a sushi burrito or a bowl with white rice, salad, ramen noodles ($1.50 more) or brown rice. Sushi burrito can only be made with white rice by the way. There's also the option of making a bowl with only one protein (kid version) upon request from customers. You've the choice of getting pre-made options or creating your own regular (2 proteins) or large (3 proteins). Choice of proteins are: bang bang chicken, regular chicken, plain tofu cubes, spicy salmon sashimi cubes, regular salmon sashimi cubes, spicy ahi tuna sashimi cubes, and shrimps. Can get unlimited mixed-ins (variety of pickled fruits, veggies, and herbs) and selections of dipping sauces in the bowl or on the side. Customers can get unlimited toppings without any extra charge. Cards and cash are both accepted. Additionally, pressed sushi and side dishes of miso soup and garlic spam musubi are being sold on the menu. Customers can take it to go or dine in. Ice, water, and plastic cups are provided by self service next to the handcrafted lemonade drinks ($2.75). Don't start looking for a restroom because there isn't one. There's an automatic sensor hand sanitizer by the door. Utensils of forks, chopsticks, and spoons are neatly stacked alongside with napkins and straws. There're two outlets in the wall, so you can charge your phone while eating. I usually choose to create my own bowl because I like to add in a little bit of each toppings and mixed-in ingredients to get my money more worth it. Two proteins are already pretty fulfilling and definitely enough for me since three proteins would be way too full. Love how fresh and tender the raw fish usually tastes....just like love in every bite! White rice is fluffier in texture compared to brown rice as it tends to be harder.

I order Spicy Ahi for delivery. Tuna is fresh, sauce is good, nice combination. I try custom poke bowl before and somehow it just didn't come out right so this time I just decided to pick one that they already create and it is one of their popular menu.

Fresh tasting poke was made to order. Staff was friendly and available to answer questions for us 1st timers. Brightly lit and clean inside. Good for lunch. Easy to find off L train line.

When I was working in Williamsburg, I ordered from here several times (through the app and in person) and it's been great. The portion size is great. The fish is fresh and nicely cut. The staff has always been efficient and friendly. There is plenty of space to sit and eat (though may not be the most comfortable). I normally get the poké bowl with shrimp and salmon as my proteins. You can't go wrong with both of those. The sauces are flavorful and you can go with however much you want (though 2 might be enough). The variety of different mix-ins and flakes is more than plenty. In one meal, you'll be satiated. Also, recommend getting the Pokeworks app so you can earn rewards and random discounts.

Ambiance-- warm lighting and very clean.

Favorite poke spot in Willyb and I suppose, all of Brooklyn! Always friendly staff, clean and tidy environment. Fresh tuna & salmon. Great bowl every time.

Ordered the Hawaiian Poke Bowl and it was fresh and delicious. The shop is very bright and the staff is super friendly. Excited to explore their menu!

Love this poke place!!! Poke is basically raw fish but cut into little chunks. You basically create your own custom poke bowl. I got a poke bowl with 2 proteins (I picked salmon) and then you can pick from a bunch of toppings. I got edamame, seaweed, seaweed, etc. Then I got the spicy aioli sauce (note there is a good kick to this). Everything was so fresh and delicious!!! Portion size is decent, I was full but not super full. I ordered via Uber Eats and my food was delivery fast and fresh! I wish I lived closer to this. There are multiple locations. I would def come back!

Pokeworks is my go-to poke place in Williamsburg. The portion sizes are healthy, the fish is always fresh, and the staff have always been great. I've ordered in store and via delivery and it's always super consistent, which is really nice. I also really like that they have a lot of sauce options and they allow you to choose your sauce level, which isn't the case at a lot of poke places.

    Poke burrito: seared salmon

Poke burrito: loose, falling apart; unevenly distributed toppings Cucumber: limp, slimy Avocado: very little, only in two spots Rice: slightly stale; plain, not sweet/acidic (not a con, just a note)

Very solid poke place. You can still go in and order during COVID, though there is no outdoor seating. My favorite is just creating my own custom bowl. I'll typically do a bowl with salmon, shrimp and/or tuna, and layer on lots of the toppings (don't miss the yellow radishes!). Definitely get some poke and sauce as well. I usually combine it with the spicy ponzu.

Tremendous job on the cook for all components. The vegetable pairings and choice of garnishes were excellent. Portions are a bit smaller for the price point, but still left full Service was also really quick. Staff were all really friendly and attentive to our needs. I had a reservation ahead of time as well. Space inside is on the smaller side, but cozy enough to have some room. Handful of tables available and some seats at the bar. Restroom available as well. None of the uncanny AI slop photos of the food ever resemble the actual slop actually being served out of some sketchy nondescript door. There's at least two other fake restaurants besides this one that I've caught operating out of this specific 5th Ave location ("Glazed Hen" Korean fried chicken is another one), but whichever group runs them always sets up the same slate of fake restaurants in the same buildings. 1140 Utica Ave in Brooklyn is another known physical location they operate this scam out of. In the meantime I need for y'all to be a bit smarter when you go on these apps. DoorDash usually labels ghost kitchen junk "virtual brand" in small print on the store page, but UberEats and the rest all lie. If it's a place with a weird name that you never heard of that's delivering at all hours and has a suspiciously high rating on the delivery apps compared to here on Yelp, despite having no internet presence to speak of (no social media) it's a huge red flag. Don't support this scam.

We ordered delivery (can't comment on the restaurant space of service) and it arrived hot and fresh. We tried the make your own poke bowl with salmon and tuna (you get to pick two which I really like), over white rice with edamame, cucumber, avocado, mango, sesame seeds, onion crisps, seaweed salad and the poke sauce (with a side of siracha aiolic) along with the two protein BBQ bowl with beef bulgogi and pork katsu, with cole slaw and mac and cheese over hawaiian fried rice with katsu sauce. The katsu was still crispy and while I don't normally care much for fried rice, the hawaiian fried rice was very good. The poke bowl was fresh with a good amount of fish and again, I loved all of the toppings and things that you can add for free (the avocado is extra). Both bowls were very tasty and good sized portions. Given the quality and quantity, the prices were very reasonable (especially compared to other poke places) and I would definitely order from here again.
