Popped in to grab a poke bowl to go for lunch on a Friday. The service was quick and the medium sized portion was generous. However the bowl itself was slightly disappointing and seemed to lack something. I had made my own bowl and included the wasabi mayo, shoyu and house sauce and there still seemed to be a bit of a lack of flavour. I would order from here again as it is right around the corner from my apartment but I wouldn't travel to the area specially to visit this place. read more

It was just okay, I made my own bowl with fresh salmon, edamame, seaweed salad, cucumber, scallions, all the toppings. The rice wasn't flavorful/seasoned. Generous portions I got a medium. And they do thoughtfully spread out the toppings over the rice so it's not buried. Service was great! But the food wasn't the best I've had and I don't see myself seeking to return 3.5 rounded down to a 3 read more

I visited Poke Tiky Bar on a Saturday 5pm and there was no wait. I ordered the Hot Sunset and service was quick. The bowl itself was really fresh and delicious, I liked how all the ingredients were mixed together with the sauce before being put on the bowl. This made sure that each bite had the perfect amount of sauce. There was plenty of seating outside, but the shop itself was too tiny to sit indoors. Would definitely come again and try their different options! read more

This cute poke spot is really a gem. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious and they're mixed together thoughtfully, without being drowned in overwhelming sauce. That said, the sauces are killer, especially the spicy mayo and I've also heard good things about the sweet chili. And the staff! They're so kind and patient and willing to help you negotiate the large variety of toppings and combinations. I'be tried a lot of poke places in the New York and this one is definitely one of the most reliable. read more

Delicious poke bowls with lots of protein. We customized two bowls - large which comes with 3 proteins. My favorite was the octopus and salmon. Scallop was good but not my favorite. The spicy tuna was flavorful but I prefer the texture of the cube tuna. Top it with some delicious sauce and toppings over some rice and it makes a perfect lunch/dinner pairing. I have now been here a a couple times and can safely say it is consistently good. There isn't any room to sit so I just takeout but the service is always quick. Nothing crazy here just your average poke bowl, but they have pretty much anything you could want. Prices for a small bowl range from $12-15ish. I would recommend if you are in the area but nothing you need to go out of your way for. read more

This place is pretty good! Got the sunrise one with salmon and tuna and pineapple with the dressing on the side, white rice, and it was really solid. Not oh my gosh I have to come back good, but it made for a very simple, healthy poke bowl and the people who work there are so nice. I've ordered from Poke Tiky Bar a number of times now and it's become one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. The fish always tastes fresh and the spicy seasoning has a healthy kick to it. There isn't much seating inside so it's really more of a to-go spot, but in the summer they open up some seats outside on the street. The people who work there are super nice and always give me my food with a smile. Highly recommend. read more

Despite being VERY confused as to what was actually on their menu before going, I really loved my food and the experience at Poke Tiky. Their main gig is poke (some sort of protein with veggies and usually an Asian sauce over rice). I got the vegetarian poke bowl (one of the standard options) and subbed the tahini for sweet chili sauce + added avocado. It was really good and was a really large portion. You can also make a custom bowl with your own protein/veggie/sauce options. The custom bowl also allows you to choose between 3 sizes. They also offer bubble tea and a really nice hot breakfast menu, but breakfast is only Saturday and Sunday. The website doesn't have the menu up yet and has photos of sushi, so that was a little confusing. They also had blenders on the back counter, so I'm hoping they add smoothies or something similar. Overall, it was pretty great! I can't wait to go back and try another bowl. read more

I've been looking for a build your own poké bowl place, and this is the spot! The bowls come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. Starting from the base to proteins to toppings and sauces the bowl is completely customizable to your liking. The fish was fresh and I thought the amount scooped in the small bowl was perfect. They offer so many toppings, just be aware that things like avocado and mango cost extra! If you're feeling a little overwhelmed by the choices, they also offer preset bowls too with different kinds of fish/sauces. Been passing by this place and finally decided to try it! As soon as I entered I was greeted politely and had help in deciding what to get. Marcus the owner is amazing ! You can tell he deeply cares about the food he gives his customers . I got the small build your own bowl and the salmon and octopus was so fresh ! You can taste it! Octopus was so tender ! I was very intrigued by this local business and wanted to try out. I walked and saw they were offering outside dining, which is very appreciated but it is ridiculously small. I came in and smelt some good food but some of their customers were improperly wearing a mask and not social distancing!! Even the staff members weren't properly wearing one either!!!! I ordered a poke for lunch and it was very upsetting and regretful. I ordered the Vegan Poké and it looks like my Grandmother's spoiled veggie smash that she threw up last Christmas and never got invited again. There is no effort that was given to look appealing! I tasted the vegan poke and it was mediocre, low quality food. It's insulting when I felt refunding something for the first time. Never coming back to this place. The food looked really good but I immediately had a stomachache after consumption. I had salmon, tofu, crispy garlic, octopus, corn, pineapples, edamame, rice, seaweed salad, avocados, and spicy Mayo with my bowl.
