this is a busy popular place. im not impressed. one slow cashier. theres like 7 people in front of me. the guy wanted my order but i couldnt see the other case with all the people in front of it. if i have a poke bowl i like avocado, soy sauce, ginger etc. this place doesnt have it. they have hawaiian snacks and gifts as well. i wasnt really hungry but the line wait was nuts when it didnt have to. i got the spicy mayo/masago ahi tuna. tasted ok. kinda salty. thanks for the experience read more

I got the tako, salmon, rainbow, scallop, and ahi poke, and I regret NOTHING except not ordering a second bowl (I'm big). Every bite was perfectly seasoned, balanced, and melt-in-your-mouth good that I literally could not keep quiet. I was straight up saying "oh my god" between bites... The textures? 10/10. Wild times. Remember at the end of my last review I said they might say it again? They did. Once again, I was not able to use my $15 off. The manager came over and said there is nothing they can do and that the number of points changed between my last visit and now. I said this is literally what happened last time. And he said there is no way he can honor it and he can't just give free food. He also said that maybe my spouse was using my phone number and that is why the coupon isn't there. I am the only one that comes to pick up Poke, so I said "no, they didn't". He said "well I don't actually know that and you don't actually know that" ... Which I don't even know what that is about! implying that my spouse is sneaking out to get poke without me? Like what? I stepped back to call my spouse and see if we wanted to purchase anyways. We decided to. I asked the manager to please ring me up and give me contact information for the owner. He then said that he wod give me the $15 off. Strange that when I want to call the owner suddenly we can have reasonable customer service. I told him to charge me however he was going to charge me and please provide a number for the owner. Woderful service. Both my friend and I have dietary restrictions and enjoy poke. She has a sesame seed allergy so they made hers from scratch we only waited about 10 minutes. I asked if they had any poke with no soy sauce and they suggested I order the spicy tuna and wasabi tako (octopus). The freshest poke by the pound I've had in las vegas. I also ordered some seaweed salad and ginger. About $20 and have plenty for a second meal. They also sell, snacks, baked goods, and frozen treats. Small take out place serving delicious Hawaiian-style poke, sold by the pound. Long line on a Sunday evening around 5pm, it probably took us 10-15 minutes in total. I recommend looking up the menu on their website or social media pages ahead of time if it's your first time. A worker comes and takes your order while you're in line so they can start preparing your order, and the picture menu they give you doesn't include all the menu items. So you might see food items in the display once you get to the front of the line that you didn't realize was on the menu. You can always add things to your order when you get to the register. You order per pound, and there are different container sizes on display for reference. They also had various packaged, baked, and frozen goods for sale in the store catered to the flavors of Hawaii. This Poke Express location also takes orders for Hanalei poi. We got 3/4 lb of limu ahi poke, 3/4 lb of furikake ahi poke, 1/4 lb of scallop poke and 1/4 of wasabi raw tako (octopus). We also got an order of poke nachos. Everything came out to around $60. They have a loyalty program based off of phone number. We paired the food with rice that we cooked at home. Everything was delicious and we definitely over ordered for just the 2 of us. Leftovers were good too but obviously not as fresh. I love limu after having had it in Hawaii and would definitely order again. The house sauce in the scallop poke was kind of a sweet and spicy sauce that wasn't to my liking, and I would probably try a differently seasoned scallop poke if they have it in the future. We walked in on a Friday afternoon and joined the line-up that although was quite long, it was moving quickly. Being from Hawaii, it was such a treat to see poke in the chilled display and able to be purchased by the pound! It was just like walking into the grocery stores back home. The ahi poke was so fresh, but the kimchi crab and garlic bulbs were my favorite. Service here was so welcoming as well, we let her know it was our first time in and despite there being a line she took the time to explain things to us and circled back after taking other orders. Got in line early on new years and the wait was absolutely worth it. The line moved very fast and they got orders super quick but I also I got to order my food without feeling like I was being rushed. Every time I go to Las Vegas for the past ten years has required a visit to this place. They have an amazing selection of "wholesale" poke. It's fresh and scooped by the 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 or full pound. However, when they opened up the North Las Vegas store a few years back, we used to chat with the original owners, husband and wife, (not sure if they still own the place) when we frequently stopped by to buy the good stuff! Went to north Las Vegas to watch some college golf daughter was playing in and glad we stopped off at Poke Express for some delicious poke. We went too late (before closing) during first day but second day we were there for lunch they have more options readily available. At night they have to make it per order so there isn't any left overs. Rice is a bit dry than the chewy goodness in Hawaii. So wasn't feeling the rice. Make your own rice. Sad they didn't have chicharon in market to make our own style of poke nachos but we had a bag in tow. Also goes well with fried chicken which is in the same plaza. read more

No tables, no stools to get around, just a line of hungry people, looking through the glass display at delicious poke and other umami induced items they can see and smell (and take a sample) of and then boom, whatever flavorful selection your heart desires is placed in conveniently marked packaging of 1/4,1/2,1 LB containers, then a few scoops of rice later, the best part happens. You get to eat this very scrumptious meal and get fresh mouthwatering fish in the desert here in Vegas. The service was happy, but straightforward and I like the setting inside as it makes me feel like I am in a small walkable city by the sea, and they have only smaller containers of the food to display so the food prepared in small batches is always fresh and clean. Super rare to get all these elements in one place, and super worth it to visit and pick one(and eventually all) or more of the very colorful and flavorful poke and seafood selections they have here.
