Namba is under new management and it shows! The manager remembered me from a previous restaurant she used to manage and invited me to give Namba a try after she had some time to make some changes. I already rated Namba high, but the changes that have been made has really put Namba to the top of my list of sushi restaurants. I have tried over 40 sushi restaurants here in Vegas alone and Namba is one of the top. The fish is super fresh and the rolls are made perfectly. The sauces are great and there is much more variety to the menu. I really appreciate that the menu has been updated so it is easier to read. It is also broken down into categories which I feel is important, especially to newcomers who may be trying sushi for the first time. The inside of the restaurant is clean and inviting and each employee was friendly and inviting. I love that they offered recommendations and had a solid knowledge of the menu. Overall Namba is a great spot. It will certainly be added to our sushi rotation!

Located at 2760 Deer Springs Way #101, North Las Vegas, NV 89084 a few steps from Smiths in Aliante. During peak hours, this shopping area is relatively busy, but there are plenty of parking spots in the immediate area. Recently, I opted to do a take-out order. It was during the dinner hours and I knew they get pretty busy here. Before I placed my order, the hostess warned me it would be 30 to 45 minutes before I could pick up my order. This was fantastic because she set the expectation and gave me the option of placing my order or not. My family and I were craving for sushi so we placed our order. Upon arriving, the restaurant was full which shows how popular this restaurant has been for years. The hostess immediately greeted me and let her know I was picking up an order. It wasn't ready yet and she offered to give me a free cup of miso soup. I thought I was getting one but later found out she gave six cups. Wow! Great customer service. The presentation of the sushi was great. They also tasted fresh and well prepared. Please remember sushi rolls are not suppose to have a lot of rice..typically 1 inch is acceptable and that's how they prepared them. Delicious! Sushi were very flavorful and worth every cent. I would highly recommend this location.

We haven't been here for maybe five years and I'm not sure how many changes in ownership, but rather than going to our usual place that begins with "U" and ends with "I" we decided to come here . There were only two other tables occupied when we got here at what I thought was prime lunch time, but apparently not. Seated right away and two laminated menu's given to us. My dining partner wanted a bento box meal as was shown on the online menu, but the server (Daniel?) said they don't offer that any more so your choices are basically AYCE ($34.00 on Saturday) or ala carte which gets wicked expensive for just a couple items. We just chose AYCE. Service was reasonably quick given how empty the place was. I'm a nigiri kind of guy and don't usually do maki. To me the nigiri presentation was a bit weird, tiny little mounds of rice on which thin pointed pieces of fish were draped. We ordered a decent selection of nigiri, some fried rice and soup... taste wise, ok, the first was cold and didn't detect a fishy smell. I also ordered uni (sea urchin) waited and waited, server finally said it was out... no biggie. Ordered dessert, and while we were waiting (now mind you, we were finished dining) the server brought out the uni that was "found" somewhere in the kitchen.... Desert was mango mochi and honey toast with ice cream. Final verdict probably only a three star meal with points taken off for menu inaccuracies and general just ok sushi... They did offer a ten percent military discount that I guess cemented the three stars. Worth another trip? Not sure , I'll probably drive an extra few miles to my usual here in centennial or go to one of our Chinatown haunts .

This was our first experience at Namba. It was a slow Friday afternoon. Upon walking in, had a sewer type smell. But still decided to stay and give the food a try. We decided to do the AYCE and ordered 2 hot green tea and it wasn't traditional. It was a tea bag. No big deal. Also ordered a Large Hot Sake. I had to ask for it because it didn't come out. Started out ordering 2 miso soups and 2 salads. Salads came and it was good. But no Misos ever came out. So we just said whatever I'm not gonna keep asking for things we ordered. We ordered our Apps, like shrimp tempura and pork belly. Pork belly was all fat. I get pork belly is fatty, but these were literal pieces of just fat. Asked for another order and was the exact same result. And I LOVE PORK BELLY!! Then ordered our sushi like garlic tuna, crab, octopus, super white tuna and a couple rolls. Sushi was tasty, came out promptly and they let you do half rolls which I think is a good touch. Although my wife ordered a roll and had avocado in it and it was not listed as an ingredient. Wife is allergic to Avocado!! Guess we'll need to ask if we order rolls from now on. All in all it was a decent food experience, but the service could use some help or guidance. Never saw a manager present, so maybe the staff runs the place. We'd probably give it another shot. Hopefully that sewer smell was taken care of. The 4 stars is for the food. Service can really use help.

Stopped by here for dinner on a Wednesday evening at 6:00PM. Ebony greeted us. There were only 4 other tables when we arrived. We've lived here a few years now and are always looking for different restaurants to frequent. We're tired of having to drive to the strip, Summerlin or even Centennial Hills for a decent restaurant. I took the time to read the reviews before we visited. Some were good - some were bad yet we LOVE sushi so we thought we would give this place a chance. Our server Sebastian arrived right after we were seated. We asked for suggestions on the menu. He asked about allergies and preferences and gave recommendations. What AMAZING RECOMMENDATIONS! Our food was served within 12 minutes of ordering (yep - after reading the other reviews, you bet I timed it!). The ambiance is upbeat and the tall walls and high ceilings create a fun, casual dining experience. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented! Sebastian and Ebony checked on us frequently. We finished our dinner and left within the hour. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again! I highly recommend this sushi restaurant for locals!

Overall good experience! The staff was friendly, had a few little hiccups but no deal. We ordered 2 garden salads - the ginger dressing was delicious, we ordered 2 miso soups that we unfortunately never received. All of the sushi we received was good quality and tasty! The grilled pork belly was pretty disappointing, between the 3 orders we got that had 3 pieces each, only 2 of the pieces were not just straight fat. A majority of it was gooey fat and inedible. My hubby got a shrimp tempura half roll and fully enjoyed it. I ordered the Snow White roll, and although it was good they put avocado in it, but the menu doesn't state avocado as well as it was supped to be topped with grilled super white that definitely was not grilled. Overall everything was good and we will definitely go back!

This place was soooo good! Food is amazing, especially all the no rice rolls. Red Rose roll is the best for sure. There was nothing disappointing about the food and I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything you order. The place is decently sized, super clean, and the staff is all so nice. BIG shout out to our server Sam who killed it! He was super sweet and explained the menu and even had some recommendations on his favorite items. Super attentive and came by multiple times to make sure we were doing ok. That alone will make me come back :)

Girls night = a 10/10 thanks to Namba Sushi in North Las Vegas. A friend recommended this place, so I brought a couple of girlfriends--and wow, we had such a great time! Everything was honestly so good, I don't even know where to start. Our server (I think his name was Marvin?) was amazing. He listened to what we liked, gave some spot-on recommendations, and was so patient and helpful. Joseph also stopped by to check on us a few times, which really made us feel taken care of. The whole team is friendly, attentive, and just good vibes all around. The food? Spectacular. The vibe? Loved it. Five stars, no notes... except maybe: bring stretchy pants. Do not sleep on this place--Namba is officially our new go-to.

Great food and amazing service. Our waiter was very helpful and even calmed our 2 year old down by offering a strawberry soda which she enjoyed. My family and I will be back!

We come here once in a while when we crave for some all you can eat sushi and not go by Spring Mountain. It has always been pleasant until tonight. We are doing all you can eat dinner and our server, Joseph was acting so vexatious, discriminatory and aggravating. He was acting all highly that even when one of her coworkers touched our table and asked how we were doing and asked if we need anything and I said if I could place an order for baked mussels,(when we are AYCE customers), he was being rude to the poor lady in front of us (who is actually doing his job better) and refused to place the order. My husband and I worked in the same industry and we can tell how he's inappropriate and unfit he is for this job, we came there to enjoy a meal and not deal with his tantrums. We all have hard days, but we are paying customers and we expect a decent, pleasant dining experience . We aren't even being needy or anything but he could feel how he was discriminatory towards us. We came there and to enjoy good food and a great service and to receive such unpleasant and grouchy attitude is just a NO-NO!!! if he isn't happy serving customers then he shouldn't be there, in the first place. At all cost, request for another server. It doesn't cost anything to be kind, especially to your guests. If the tips weren't mandatory 18% for party of 5, you would get a zero dollar from us! You don't know SERVICE At ALL! You were racial profiling and unprofessional!!!! Even my kids asked what's wrong with him?! Even kids know better manners than you do. With this recent experience, I'd rather drive to farther than to be there again. I do hope your manager gets to address your attitude because you need to be told. You got to learn how to treat your coworkers nicely and your customers better. You are making this establishment look bad! Network is important, I wouldn't even hire you if you'd go to our restaurant. You making such a good place feel less good with you being there!

If there were a sixth star, Namba Sushi in Las Vegas would get it, thanks to the absolute legends Sam and Sebastian! Walking into this place feels like being greeted by your best friends who just happen to also be sushi sorcerers. I'm pretty sure Sam and Sebastian are actual sushi wizards who have studied in the ancient art of "Blow Your Mind and Your Taste Buds" for at least a hundred years each. From the moment we walked in, Sam was on fire, cracking jokes that had us laughing so hard, I was worried I'd actually snort my miso soup. And Sebastian? The man is a sushi artist, crafting rolls that could be displayed in the Louvre but also taste so good, they could start international diplomatic relations. They practically read my mind when recommending the best dishes, and let me tell you, every bite was like a sushi symphony in my mouth. If you're not ready to handle the full experience of exceptional service mixed with comedy gold and sushi that will make you reconsider all life choices up to this point, maybe take a seat elsewhere. But if you're ready for an unforgettable meal and some serious laughs, Sam and Sebastian are your guys. Don't walk--run to Namba Sushi and tell them I sent you for the full "5-star special"!

    Amber H.

Namba has been a staple in our house until yesterday. I don't know what happened but the portions and the quality went down hill. I've been ordering the same items for years. The Rock and Roll roll usually wrapped with cucumber was wrapped with the cucumber rind. We didn't receive any wasabi and ginger with any of our other rolls and the tuna poke was 1/4 of the normal portion size. Not worth the money.

forgot to take picture of my Albacore Nigiri! love those. Service was excellent, Restaurant looks gorgeous. I order and mix ponzu, lemon, and sriracha all together for a sauce. I'm unsure if they do sushi hand rolls, since I ate by myself and didn't want to order an entire roll. warm and fresh, rice in nigiri served in small proportions. would go again. my third or fourth visit already. their bao buns are worth taking home. I also, enjoyed their fried cheesecake served with a cherry and cream. dinner menu has a nice selection for future reference, like their toru nigiri

Do they still offer 20% take out discount?

I don't think so. I received discounts during Covid.

Is this place all you can eat?

Yes, they have an all you can eat option.

    Any gluten free options?

You can always substitute or change the rolls. The chefs are very accommodating! I am celiac (allergic to gluten) myself and was able to order so much! Just have to watch for some sauces.

Staff was super friendly when I came in to grab my order, and they greeted me immediately. Cute little place- small and cozy. I had checked the reviews beforehand, and I can confidently say the fish to rice sushi ratio is fine, I didn't have an issue with it like some folks did. And they are really trying. But unfortunately there's a lot they can do better but I look forward to coming back when those changes happen! It was three of us who decided to get all you can eat sushi. Pretty standard menu but the pricing is very high. On the same level or more expensive than the heavy hitters like Neko Sushi. But the price is the price and we sucked it up and started ordering sushi. We ordered (3) salmon nigiri, (3) tuna nigiri, (3) unagi, (3) yellow tail and a spicy girl roll. As we waited for our sushi our friend ordered a sprite. Our server brought a can and that's not too out of the norm. What was out of the norm was the price of that can of sprite. I could have purchased a case of off brand sprite for the cost of one can. What's worst is that the can was served in a glass, and when the glass was half empty, the server poured water in that glass. A glass of watered down sprite. They didn't even offer to replace the sprite. They just said sorry. If that's all that happened I wouldn't mind. But then we got the sushi. We made it through half of the salmon before we noticed these grey speckles on the salmon. We then asked the server what they were and they shrugged. And then they came back and said that the unagi is prepared near the salmon so specks of the unagi must have got on the salmon. Not what you want to hear from your local sushi spot. Our friend was sitting on the booth and the seats were tore up, so instead of fixing the booth they laid a leather seat portion on top of the booth. A booth seat on top of the booth seat. And it was uncomfortable enough for our friend to where we swapped who sat on the booth. The sushi was. Okay. The quality of the fish was on par with what sushi was like when I went to school in Reno. Dry? The word I think I would describe it as is dry. Not great. And they don't have dessert here. So for the price you get dry sushi, poor service and no dessert. There's other sushi spot nearby so next time we'll go there. I'm hoping Sushi Day gets better! But they need to do better before we come back.

Since I live on the north side, I figured I'd look for somewhere closer that has chicken katsu curry and Tokyo Cafe popped up. It's only about 2 miles from me so I decided to give it a try! I ordered the chicken katsu curry at spice level 3. My first few bites were really good and initially I thought it tasted just as good as Curry Ya. The katsu was crispy, the portion was generous and the curry had a nice flavor. But about halfway through my meal, I felt like the taste didn't quite hold up for me. It was still good, just not as good as Curry Ya like I originally thought. Maybe it was cuz I was getting uncomfortably warm inside the restaurant and it was affecting how much I was enjoying my food. LOL! The cashier was really nice and patient with me since it was my first time there and I had a couple of questions while ordering. The place was also surprisingly busy for a Wednesday with people dining in and plenty of takeout orders. My biggest issue was how warm it felt inside. I know it's summertime in Vegas but it honestly felt like the AC wasn't keeping up. They had ceiling fans going but I was still pretty hot while eating which definitely took away from the experience. Overall, the food was still good and I'd order the chicken katsu curry again especially since Tokyo Cafe is only about 2 miles from me. Next time though, I'll definitely get it to go. It's nice having a nearby option when I don't feel like driving all the way to Spring Mountain and dealing with parking and seating at Cheongdam Food Hall.
