I was a little skeptical, I was recommended by a client to this place and had seen the Yelp reviews before hand. I'm not one to usually deter from bad reviews but it does make me pay attention to different things in my own experiences. Lunch time on a Sunday wasn't busy. Only two other tables were seated when we walked in and they had a big 4 table party come in towards the end of our meal. If it's busy I could see wait times might be an issue they seem rather limited on space. Into my opinion of the restaurant, I really enjoyed this spot as well as my party. Had 3 AYCE and two rolls for my daughter. Ordered a couple rolls that I thought looked good, and ordered a total of 4 half rolls from two different wait staffs recommendations. I liked all of them, not a single one was bad. They definitely do have a favoring towards spicy tuna rolls but still plenty of options on their menu. They even have a couple unique options that made their menu stand out to me. Try the 911 roll spice lovers, definitely worth try. Staff was nice and gave great recommendations. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. I don't have anything negative to say about Sushi Tachi. I'll be back, they have some other things I want to try out in the future.

Yelp Review 2024 #43: We've been going to this AYCE sushi restaurant for over 12 years because it's the closest to home and has been decent. They closed for months for renovations and re-opened a couple of months ago. They don't take reservations and never have. They weren't busy but we had to wait 10-15 minutes. When I walked in, the place looks the same except they took out 2-4 tables, and the sushi bar is now non-functional. You can't sit at the sushi bar, no more sushi chefs behind the bar. All your food, whether hot food or sushi/ nigiri and hand rolls, are all prepared in the kitchen. I'm not comfortable with that. But we were already here so, we might as well stay. The servers looked very tired. They've been standing and walking all day probably and you can tell. They were moving slow. I felt bad for them. I got hot green tea and it was very watered down and didn't taste like green tea at all. It was just boiled water. Their soda from a machine was flat. What we ordered: Shrimp Tempura (not fluffy): 3/5 Ah Chi Chi (it doesn't have the green sauce anymore): 3/5 Lasagna Roll: 4/5 Orion Roll half order: 3/5 Tachi Roll half order: 4/5 March Special half order: 4/5 Calamari (chewy and rubbery): 1/5 Salmon Nigiri x 5 (but only 1 order was given to us so we asked for our other 4 orders - an easy fix. But the salmon to rice ratio was good): 4/5 Salmon Skin Handroll (the salmon skin was not crunchy but chewy): 1/5 Garlic Tuna Nigiri: didn't arrive at all The raw food took longer than the cooked food. It was strange. They used to have stamp cards so you can get free AYCE sushi after the 9th visit but they don't do that anymore. I don't know what they renovated but this place has gone way downhill. This was the last hope for AYCE sushi in the north side of town. But not anymore. All hope is lost. Drive the extra miles to Chinatown. It breaks my heart because I basically grew older with this place but I don't think I'll be coming back.

This place was just okay in my opinion. The staff is really nice and the restaurant is clean. However, there is limited seating so if its busy, im sure the wait is long. The rolls were pretty average, one thing I noticed is a lack of variety. Most of their rolls are similar with cucumber, avocado and spicy tuna. The only thing that was different was which sauce they put on. The sauces were also lacking, which made some of the rolls dry. I don't think I will be coming back to this spot as I am not a huge spicy tuna fan, but if you are, then check this place out.

Good all you can eat sushi at a good price. Very casual spot. They have an extensive menu of rolls and nigiri. All you can drink Sake and Budlight on the weekend is a bonus. We ordered Sake and were given a pretty decent amount, about 5 shots worth. Staff could definitely take in orders more frequently. They are kind nonetheless.

Luke warm miso, hot sauce edamame and no taste hot green tea.

Being new to the neighborhood, we decided to try and find a new sushi place as our go to is now 40 mins away. This will not be our new go to in this area. As soon as we walked in, it was just very welcoming and very outdated. When being seated I pointed out to my wife that it didn't seem very clean or taken care of. I asked if she wanted to go somewhere else, but we were starving and I've had good sushi at hole in the wall places before. So maybe this was the case here. Nope. We were greeted and ordered water and hot green tea. Tea was hot but zero flavor. More like hot water. We did the AYCE for $33 a person. Ordered some nigiri garlic tuna, super white tuna, octopus, the JJ roll, the Lisa Lisa roll, shrimp tempura app, garlic edamame, miso soup and house salad with ginger dressing. Garlic tuna came out with no garlic ponzu and just regular tuna, super white was fishy, miso was Luke warm, the dressing was very Mayo tasting, shrimp tempura was also Luke warm and not crispy. Garlic edamame came out regular and they took it back and literally just dumped hit sauce on it. The rolls were good and you can order half rolls which is nice. Just not very fresh on the fish side. Service was spotty. Started with one server and then had to look around and then 2 other servers started to come to check on us. Had to literally stack dishes to get cleared. Kinda seemed a little disorganized. All in all, nothing to write home about. Just enough to do this review. Won't be going back. Although, if your a drinker, they have all you can drink bud light and hot sake sun-thurs with our use of AYCE.

Amazing service but the food quality wasn't the best. Quality to price ratio wasn't worth it. The edamame were good.

You can order off the menu, or off the computer screen, or if you are seated by the revolving sushi belt you can just load up on those plates if that is what you want to do. Inside they have traditional tables, they also have booths by the revolving sushi, and they also have a bar with bar seating. We came in at lunch time and were sat in the revolving sushi area. Someone took our beverage order. But after that the rest is up to you. We took mostly plates from the revolving sushi. The biggest problem we had was that the descriptions lacked the ingredients of the dish. So you had to look them up on the computer screen to figure out what was in the rolls. We found out that not all but many of the rolls contained shellfish. Another problem was that if you didn't grab something you saw that you might want it didn't get refilled so you missed out. We tried one item from the computer screen. For this you have to use your credit card and pay. (that seemed odd) But the chicken karaage was very good. It was served to us by a robotic tray on wheels that ran above the revolving sushi belt. There was a fun factor of watching the sushi wiz by. But depending on what side of the booth you are on only one person can see the sushi coming the other person sees the sushi as it's passing by. My biggest complaint might be that none of the sushi is cold. That might bother some people. Still fun. Not the best sushi but very inexpensive for what it is. ($3.25 a plate) You pay as you order from the computer screen. pile up your plates and the person that served your beverages counts your plates to figure out your bill. Three stars is a positive review on Yelp and translates to A-OK. 3.5 stars

The place is a very small ma-and-pa joint, always the same few people running the show. They're very friendly and you can tell are very proud of their craft, and they should be! Every time we go we get really beautiful, delicious, fresh tuna, salmon, and more. The Dojo Boat is a great deal and can feed an army. I also want to say that in this day and age where it seems like everything costs an arm and a leg, they are really reasonably priced. It is nice being able to bring the family there and not break the bank. Thanks for all the great sushi, Dojo! Can't wait for the Dojo Boat to set sail again soon :)

All you had to do was acknowledge me with an apology, now they can no longer be trusted due to their tardiness of proper food storage and preparations, this Asian, not Japanese, husband and wife team are never friendly, and have very dry personalities, which never really bothered me, but now I understand why, I don't think they really care about their restaurant, and will probably be the next establishment to close down, when you lose a high end customer like me, at times your only dinning one, you're pretty much finished, you may contact me at anytime, and I will remove this, I could have died it was so bad, I'm only 125 lbs and it took the life out of me, please, do better, this is RAW fish that needs to be stored at it's proper temperature!

I first wanted to say the service was phenomenal, our server took care of us and answered all my questions because of the ample amount of menus and items on their menus. The conveyor belt menu and the main menu is a bit different and there is a roll on their physical menu that is double printed on there but one price is higher but it's the same toll; so I hope they fix that issue. The sushi quality was mediocre and we can tell it wasn't that fresh along with the rolls and nigiri which was very disappointing compared to their other restaurant in henderson. But let me tell you that I do enjoy their extensive menu like their ika yaki appetizer and the star and my favorite roll is the salmon killer 2 with the sauce on the side. The innovation with the micro cilantro added that delicious taste making it so refreshing. We are a fan of salmon so this roll really was amazing! Ambiance was great, we enjoyed the decor and the truck that was delivering our food. They played good music and the vibes were nice since we came here for a date it was nicely lit especially under the conveyor belt. I would definitely try coming back to see if it was just a one time thing because I do like Kaizen sushi and I just want to try again.
