I was a little skeptical, I was recommended by a client to this place and had seen the Yelp reviews before hand. I'm not one to usually deter from bad reviews but it does make me pay attention to different things in my own experiences. Lunch time on a Sunday wasn't busy. Only two other tables were seated when we walked in and they had a big 4 table party come in towards the end of our meal. If it's busy I could see wait times might be an issue they seem rather limited on space. Into my opinion of the restaurant, I really enjoyed this spot as well as my party. Had 3 AYCE and two rolls for my daughter. Ordered a couple rolls that I thought looked good, and ordered a total of 4 half rolls from two different wait staffs recommendations. I liked all of them, not a single one was bad. They definitely do have a favoring towards spicy tuna rolls but still plenty of options on their menu. They even have a couple unique options that made their menu stand out to me. Try the 911 roll spice lovers, definitely worth try. Staff was nice and gave great recommendations. Restaurant and restrooms were clean. I don't have anything negative to say about Sushi Tachi. I'll be back, they have some other things I want to try out in the future.

This place was just okay in my opinion. The staff is really nice and the restaurant is clean. However, there is limited seating so if its busy, im sure the wait is long. The rolls were pretty average, one thing I noticed is a lack of variety. Most of their rolls are similar with cucumber, avocado and spicy tuna. The only thing that was different was which sauce they put on. The sauces were also lacking, which made some of the rolls dry. I don't think I will be coming back to this spot as I am not a huge spicy tuna fan, but if you are, then check this place out.

Yelp Review 2024 #43: We've been going to this AYCE sushi restaurant for over 12 years because it's the closest to home and has been decent. They closed for months for renovations and re-opened a couple of months ago. They don't take reservations and never have. They weren't busy but we had to wait 10-15 minutes. When I walked in, the place looks the same except they took out 2-4 tables, and the sushi bar is now non-functional. You can't sit at the sushi bar, no more sushi chefs behind the bar. All your food, whether hot food or sushi/ nigiri and hand rolls, are all prepared in the kitchen. I'm not comfortable with that. But we were already here so, we might as well stay. The servers looked very tired. They've been standing and walking all day probably and you can tell. They were moving slow. I felt bad for them. I got hot green tea and it was very watered down and didn't taste like green tea at all. It was just boiled water. Their soda from a machine was flat. What we ordered: Shrimp Tempura (not fluffy): 3/5 Ah Chi Chi (it doesn't have the green sauce anymore): 3/5 Lasagna Roll: 4/5 Orion Roll half order: 3/5 Tachi Roll half order: 4/5 March Special half order: 4/5 Calamari (chewy and rubbery): 1/5 Salmon Nigiri x 5 (but only 1 order was given to us so we asked for our other 4 orders - an easy fix. But the salmon to rice ratio was good): 4/5 Salmon Skin Handroll (the salmon skin was not crunchy but chewy): 1/5 Garlic Tuna Nigiri: didn't arrive at all The raw food took longer than the cooked food. It was strange. They used to have stamp cards so you can get free AYCE sushi after the 9th visit but they don't do that anymore. I don't know what they renovated but this place has gone way downhill. This was the last hope for AYCE sushi in the north side of town. But not anymore. All hope is lost. Drive the extra miles to Chinatown. It breaks my heart because I basically grew older with this place but I don't think I'll be coming back.

Good all you can eat sushi at a good price. Very casual spot. They have an extensive menu of rolls and nigiri. All you can drink Sake and Budlight on the weekend is a bonus. We ordered Sake and were given a pretty decent amount, about 5 shots worth. Staff could definitely take in orders more frequently. They are kind nonetheless.

"New cocktail" is just a can

Food was meh. Ordered 5 different rolls but only received 4 which was fine since it wasn't great. Server didn't know anything about the drinks. And when I ordered their new margarita cocktail I literally got a can. Most likely won't be back.

We used to love Sushi Tachi yet on our most recent visit, seemed lacking. No sushi chefs at the sushi bar, no bar seating, service was incredibly slow, had to ask for our check twice because server just disappeared. Three stars because the sushi was good and music was upbeat. I think it's time we searched for a new sushi bar or just order take out next time.

This visit we had the rich, flavorful ramen along with several sushi rolls, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The service is always friendly, fast, and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. It's hard to find a place that offers this combination of great sushi, outstanding ramen, generous portions, and prices that are tough to beat. The funny part is we've been here so many times and still haven't even tried the teppanyaki side yet. If the sushi and ramen are this consistently good, we're looking forward to finally giving it a shot. If you're looking for delicious Japanese food without spending a fortune, Sapporo is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely keep coming back!

I've had the teppanyaki here and found it to be "just ok", but the sushi is really good, fresh, and a lot of fun. We went on a busy evening and there was a bit of a wait. The check in process was easy and they texted me when our table was ready so I didn't have to stand around. (we did, but I liked having the option to walk away). Service is friendly and solid. They're working hard and, because you have a tablet to order options you don't see coming around on the revolving belt, you service isn't all that attentive but we never wanted for anything. The ambiance is lively and there is a lot coming around that belt at brisk pace. All of the sushi was fresh and cool. The rice was nicely packed and fresh as well. They have standard nigiri and maki (rolls) options and some creative suggestions I haven't found anywhere but here that are really tasty. It's a fun evening out, fairly priced. Recommended.

Everything arrived exactly as I expected, but this Bento box was mammoth! I love Sushi 88 because my husband can get all of the goodies on a pupu platter and I can get- well, normally sushi. Today I'm sick with a head cold, so I'm wanting rice and miso soup. Of course I had to have my Agadashi tofu- even if I can't taste it very well. You know what shined through with the vibrance of 1,000 suns? The miso soup! This is how I ended up with the Bento box. It comes with fried shrimp, white rice, miso soup and I got the beef teriyaki. It was a hit. I got all this for basically the same price I would pay for our usual order except this time I didn't order extra steak skewers, or sushi, or fried shrimp. Total deal. My husband fully endorsed me ordering the Bento box again. It also came with some krab sushi, battered veggies and shrimp, and a salad. There was a serious pile of steak. They give you a bunch of containers if teriyaki sauce in the side. I think going forward this will be our new order on repeat. Last week I rated Sushi 88 4 stars. That spread is worth 5 stars today. Go ahead Sushi 88! I am impressed!

I called ahead with a simple question and was left on hold for about six minutes. When I called back, there was no apology -- just a quick answer followed by being hung up on. Not a great first impression. When I arrived, the restaurant itself looked okay, but definitely not high-end. My table wasn't properly cleaned, and even the sanitizer bottle on the table was dirty. After being seated, I had to ask multiple times (three times) just to get a menu. I was told to scan a QR code instead, but when I requested a physical menu, it felt like an inconvenience to them. The issues didn't stop there -- my water glass was dirty, and when I ordered, I noticed price discrepancies between the QR menu and the paper order sheet. When I pointed this out, instead of clarifying or apologizing, I was told I didn't know how to use the menu, which was honestly frustrating and unprofessional. As for the food -- it wasn't bad, but for the price, it should be better. The sushi rolls were small and pretty standard, nothing unique or memorable. I also had to ask multiple times for basic items like wasabi and ginger. Overall, the service was the biggest problem here. With better customer service and attention to cleanliness, this place could improve, but based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend it.
