    1 Protein Poke Bowl

This was my first time trying a poke bowl, and I fell in love immediately here! Because I was able to customize my bowl I loved every aspect of it. The service was great and the decor was beautiful to look at. I can't wait to go back!

I've been coming to Poke House for a couple years now. The owners are great. The Hawaiian Poke Bowl is my go to and never disappoints. Don't forget to get yourself a tea too!

Strawberry Cheesecake Thai Ice Cream with chocolate chips and whipped cream

Found this gem , thanks to Yelp. This small place serves Thai bowls for lunch or dinner (we came here for dessert), Boba Tea and rolled Thai Ice cream. What a treat!!!! If you like the word FRESH you want to try their ice cream. At the moment you are not allowed inside due to the owner's precautious pandemic safety measures which is great. But you order and they bring your food or desserts outside. When man serving (may be the owner) heard that it was our first visit, he came to greet us and explained the process how he makes the ice cream at the moment of order, and items are mixed together. How friendly and nice! What a great gesture. The ice cream looks so pretty, almost like a work of art. The taste is amazingly smooth, with not an overwhelmingly sugar taste. Just the right amount. Per price, it averages six to seven dollars a person. Unless you are like me, you just have to buy a Boba tea as well. Which in that case was five dollars. I had the Honeydew. It was perfect! Here' s a tip with the rolled ice cream: If you want chocolate chips, syrup, whipped cream, or toppings, you will have to request them when ordering. The ingredients in the menu description become mixed. For example, I ordered strawberry cheesecake. The strawberries and the cheesecake chunks were smoothly mixed into the ice cream. We also ordered one with Nutella and banana. You couldn't see the ingredients but the taste definitely was in the mix.

2 Protein Poke Bowl- I get double Tuna! Also has seaweed salad, cucumber, corn, mango, edamame, and avocado. I get the wasabi mayo.

Okay so just had to add a photo here so all could see the wonderful Poke Bowls this place serves up for takeout- so fresh! Since my first post I have been religiously ordering one poke bowl a week from here, mainly through Uber Eats. They are consistently fresh, always follow the order placed, and quick turnaround. Poke House really can't be beat in my eyes!

The ice cream was better than I expected, But it was a bit overpriced. I consider this place a "one and done" for the novelty of it. I had a peanut butter flavor and my son had something with Fruirry Pebbles and honey in it.

Making those icy rolls o' love!

Decent place for poke around Danbury. Prices are on the higher side though and there's a lot of lettuce used as filler.

This is the authentic, incredibly fresh sushi you crave, and fair warning: you will become addicted. We are so lucky to have a gem like Amai in Brookfield. Amber and Jerry are wonderful people who genuinely care about their customers, the quality of the food, and the experience they provide. If you're looking for quick, fast-food-style sushi, this isn't that and that's exactly the point. It's like comparing a McDonald's cheeseburger to a steakhouse burger. Sure, one may be faster and cheaper, and technically they're both burgers, but the quality and experience aren't comparable. Anyone who compares the two is insane. At Amai, the attention to detail makes all the difference. The fish is incredibly fresh and cut to order rather than prepped in batches in the back, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Once you've had sushi this way, it's hard to go back and settle for anything else. My husband and I are addicts. After closing for a few weeks of vacation, we practically broke down the door and have already gone two times this week. Thank you!!!

We were able to easily get street parking right outside the restaurant. Note has a cozy casual feel to it, like a typical neighborhood bar and restaurant. It has a variety of table options and a nice outdoor patio facing the town center. Our waiter was very welcoming and service was great. We started with drinks- my drink was called the Spring Fever. It was wonderful, and quite a tasty spring drink. Made with limoncello, a vanilla liquor, club soda and perhaps a few more ingredients but they all worked for a balanced cocktail- the mint a perfect fresh touch! We got the appetizer of the sweet potato empanadas which was easily large enough to be a whole entree. My husband is a huge empanada fan and loved this vegetarian version. I got the pork and pear sandwich with a side Caesar. Such great flavors in the sandwich between the pork, pear, arugula, onions and aioli-really well done! The Caesar salad was also really good! I love when places give the option for fries or salads with sandwiches. Husband got the pork tostadas and enjoyed these as well. It was a great lunch just a lot of food so we had to take some home, bonus! We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu and possibly do takeout too. So happy we finally got to try Note!

We thought that the plates were small and especially made the salad hard to toss. My friend and I both had burgers, which were delicious -- but what were REALLY awesome were the french fries. Slim, perfectly cooked and salted -- hoo mama. Other reviewers have mentioned that the menu has more of an Asian influence -- this continues to be true, and in fact, when we return I'd like to try some of those more specifically Asian or Asian-inspired dishes. One thing I perceived, though, was that the pickles on the burger were brined in something that tasted almost seafood-y -- I'm allergic so I don't think it was actual fish sauce or something, but something that gave it a slight fishy taste, like when you have seaweed. Anyway, that was the only thing I didn't care for -- but it didn't bother me enough to not want to try again! We loved the ambience and the location was also super convenient with free parking in the back. I'll update my review after my next visit!

3.5 stars We were on…read moreour way home from a road trip and were looking for a great lunch spot on our route, when we came across Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, which was located in the quaint town of Sandy Hook. As we drove through the village, we saw the restaurant on our left-hand side. It was housed in a historical brick building with a sprawling deck overlooking the Pootatuk River. It was a beautifully sunny day, so I immediately suggested that we dine outside. Unfortunately for us, the part of the balcony that was covered and offering live acoustic music was completely full. That meant that we were seated on the far edge of the patio with no shield from the strong sun or any ability to hear the tunes. In addition to the unideal seating, the food took a very long time to arrive, so I just sat there roasting. The server offered to move us inside, but we stuck it out for the view. I had ordered the Fattoush Salad with Chicken. The Mediterranean bowl included mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, kalamata olives, and fried naan croutons, though I had omitted the red onion that was also supposed to be in the blend. I had asked for the red wine vinaigrette on the side and wound up not using much of it. The salad was fresh and tasty, but the chicken had an odd preparation. It was not grilled (like I would have hoped for a healthy salad topper) and not deep-fried, but was roasted or pan-fried or something, which I had not expected. It had a crispy skin, but remained reasonably tender at least. I also grabbed a few of my partner's fries, which were excellent. After we wrapped up the meal, I stopped inside to cool off and use the facilities, which consisted of a singular, unisex bathroom in the corner of the rustic dining room. There was a bit of a line, and they could certainly have benefitted from additional restrooms. I really did like the antique atmosphere at Foundry Kitchen and Tavern, but I think that the heat just made the experience a bit challenging for me. I would definitely consider returning, but would be more diligent in my seating and food selections.
