No seating, takeout only!!!!! In our food adventures we will try everything...this was a miss. We came to try due to 4.7 star rating. Great quantity of food for the price, but sad the food was not great. The rice was there to fill you up but it wasn't good sushi rice. Several fish weren't the freshest tasting. Solid counter service / take-out only sushi spot. Very fair prices. This was the perfect stop-over on our drive from Connecticut to NYC to get some food and wait out the traffic for a bit. Nice outside picnic tables with umbrellas to sit and eat. In winter, I guess you really just have to grab and go. Our food was ready about 10 minutes after ordering. The hidden gem of Westchester. I've been to this shopping plaza many a times but only recently stopped by Sushi 22 to grab dinner to go. I was greeted by an uber friendly staff, despite the late hour (they were about to close), they were happy to see me and chat as if I was their first guest for the day. I can tell you that this would not be my attitude if someone placed an order as I am about to close the kitchen. On top of that, food was really good and reasonably priced. If you're not allergic to lobsters you NEED to get the lobster roll!!! No one else makes it like them. The Ichiban roll is also top tier. I like to try a new roll every time I order and have only been disappointed once (spicy crab meat roll). There's no seating so you need to place to go orders. It's a small place. I'm not sure if it's family owned but I love to support them. They are all so nice. read more

I gave a testimonial to Sushi 22 many years ago when they first opened. It has changed ownership since then. We have, in Goldens Bridge, a "gem" of a take out Sushi establishment. People in Somers, Katonah & Cross River, should order from them. Their food and " raw" fish is outstanding. As a +, their prices are much more reasonable for take out than other restaurants in the area. read more

I have to update my review since they reopened sometime last year. They are now one of my go-to places to grab lunch. Their lunch specials are great deal with three cut maki rolls and a soup or salad for a side for $15. The rolls are prepared consistently well and their fish is always fresh. Their sushi rice is on point too. I can say now that I've had their poke bowl, sashimi and sushi and I can easily recommend any of these for a main. The people who work here are really friendly and kind. Whenever there's a roll on the menu I've never heard of (such as Gold, East, or Alaskan rolls - all of which I recommend), the lady working in the front always describes what I'd be getting accurately. I don't have any of the same issues with the phones and hours as I did previously when they first opened. All that to say, I definitely recommend them if you're in the neighborhood and looking for a sushi fix. read more

Ordered from the app the other day and received a notification saying my order was received however I never received one saying my order was ready- was not going to allow that to impact my review. But just a note to all who use the app. Sushi was very fresh, I ordered a spicy tuna roll, cali roll, shrimp avocado roll and a few pieces of sashimi. The woman at the counter was very nice. The place was clean and bright and everything appeared to be appealing when I walked in for my order. I would definitely order from them again, maybe next time call. read more

We stopped in this plaza to charge the car, and were pleasantly surprised to find excellent takeout sushi! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I especially appreciated the decent selection of vegan rolls. The sweet potato tempura roll was one of the best I've had. My husband's poke bowl was a solid meal for a hungry guy. My daughter had some fancy rolls that were beautifully constructed and (she says) delicious. Also, the folks working there were incredibly friendly. The man even ran out to catch me when I forgot my backpack. We are pretty spoiled for good sushi back home, but Sushi 22 could easily compete with any takeout in the city. read more

Updating my review, because they're BACK!!! I swear... the freshest tuna I've ever had since I tasted sashimi, off a boat in Hawaii, cut off the fish and handed to me in 1982. It really IS that good. HOWEVER... you might ask, why only 4 stars then? Business practices are still not on point. Went by today (Monday) to order... closed. GUYS!!!! Please AT LEAST display your hours on your storefront!! Also... Maybe a real menu on your Yelp page, not just blurry menu photos from customers might also be helpful? A website? Or at least to be able to preorder to pick up online? And, while I can almost WALK to you... consider delivery... you know, GrubHub, Uber, DoorDash? Found this place by accident a few months ago on my way home driving on 684. It was temporarily closed for a few months due to Covid, but back in business! Got food from it recently to eat on the park tables outside. An amazing takeout sushi place comparable to most of the big sushi places I've been to! Amazing! So difficult to find delicious, well presented and FRESH seafood in the area. Definitely will be coming back again! I think that maybe just turned into a I'm placing an online order pickup right now! Perfect location as well being it's close to train station and can pickup a bite to eat for the family after work. UPDATE: I've been here 3 times since my first review & it's still so good... I've gotten sashimi every time, the quality is great with each order. I tried the shrimp ramen and the yellowtail poke bowl, also amazing. My comment before about no sauce for the gyoza has changed. I ordered it again & the sauce was included! Such an amazing place to grab really great authentic food! Service is super nice and pleasant. I have gotten food here on 20 different occasions, and so has my entire family. What a great takeout place in Northern Westchester!! The food is fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff is efficient and friendly. For instance, the pork ramen is made with a delicious broth and loaded with big pieces of perfectly cooked pork, noodles, vegetables and other goodies. The variety of sushi and sashimi is amazing. Had a great experience with Sushi 22, rolls were fresh and the fish/rice ratio was perfect, they didn't try to hide a tiny piece of fish in the roll, a large percentage of the roll was fish. Great prices, fresh fish and the young man taking orders and working the front was a pleasure. We will definitely be frequenting this establishment. A welcome addition to the area where delis/italian spots reign supreme. read more

honestly pretty damn good, the danbury roll is great and every other basic roll I've had is amazing too. also got the gyoza and liked it. their stuff always tastes fresh and the staff are so nice!! been here maybe 8 times now and i'm so surprised they don't have more reviews.this place is so convenient and much needed in GB since other places are a bit of a drive. give it shot, I want them to stick around! read more

Established in 2019.

Our store opened on Thursday January 17 2019 and of course it was just a few days before a terrible snow storm. Still to our surprise there was a lot more traffic than we could have imagined. I want to thank all the eager patrons who endured the cold just to get another roll and bowl. It took us some time to open but we are finally here and we plan to make our presence count.

For me, not quite on the level of bb.q Korean fried chicken. Still a good option for the area. Pork and shrimp wonton noodle soup Warmed my soul. It was perfect, the broth flavored and simple. The Ramen noodles added great texture. The dumplings were delicious and large bites. Pro tip, get a side of dumpling sauce to dip the dumplings in. The Chinese Broccoli in the dish had a delicious flavor all to itself. I'm not sure how they did it (because it was in the broth like everything else) but it was unique and special when eating the bok choi Pan Fried Pork Buns (Bao Buns) They were next level and a must get everytime. I'm not sure how else to describe them except delicious Original Chicken Sandwhich Good but not a must get for me. Good cook on the chicken and the bun seemed special but the flavors didn't really pack a punch. We were happy to see they still had our favorite white wine on the menu..we ordered it just to be told and shown that they have it but its warm..I decided I would then have Sake and my wife would have a less desired wine (by the glass instead of us sharing the bottle as intended) as she ordered it, they went to poor a half empty bottle (it beeing brunch and the place being empty), I know that bottle was at least 24 hours old and kindly asked if they can poor my wife's glass from a fresh bottle..the "bartender" refused and at that point we decided to leave and get our lunch elsewhere.. they made no attempt to stop us from leaving or compromise..just acted indifferent..I would think the $200 meal would have been worth the $13 bottle of wine..but im no business major. Anyway..we went in there today to try to give them another 5 star review and let you all know how great the food is...sorry we didn't get the opportunity..im done trying to help this place...just drive up the street to Kobu everybody..trust me.
