We stopped in to pass time before grabbing a beer at Standard Beer and dinner at Fillo. As a result, we were here for just a couple of minutes and did not order food. The restaurant was clean and cute. Mark wanted a tea and was hoping for something hot rather than bubble tea. The person working behind the counter was so very, very helpful! She was super sweet and really took her time helping Mark decide what best met his needs. He ended up with a Lavender Tea, which was absolutely delicious! Poke Hut has great reviews, most of which tout the food. If we hadn't had dinner plans, I would loved to have ordered a bite to eat. Perhaps next time we come down to Standard Beer we'll stop here to fill our bellies before having a drink.

I love poke and I'm so glad we have Poke Hut in Cincinnati! Love that you can pick your protein and all your toppings after. We got a bowl with marinated salmon with different toppings like edamame, seaweed salad, roe, etc. Not the best poke I've had but definitely hits the spot.

Great poke! Friendly service also. We found this when looking for something quick to eat before a show nearby. My daughter and I are both a fans of poke bowls and thought this was one of the best poke bowls we've had in the Cincinnati area. Like most bowl places (Chipotle, Currito, Fusian, Bibibop, etc) you pick your base, proteins, veggies, toppings and sauces as you move along the line. Everything was fresh and the bowls tasted awesome. We will be back soon.

The poke spot du jour is between Washington Park and Findlay Market, so a good location to walk by. I found their options pretty numerous, though getting greens for a base gave me only iceberg lettuce (there were rice and noodle options if I was hungrier). When I asked for tofu I was offered the option to split with avocado if I wanted to keep everything vegetarian, which I declined but it's nice to have the option and the attention to such matters. My tofu was cooked flavorfully, but was served cold, along with a nice array of vegetables. As is generally the case with poke places, this was a pricey bowl, but it was full and had good quality ingredients. I was offered some sauce but barely needed it. Bubble tea was on offer as well. They seemed to have quite an efficient takeout system running.

Highly recommend Poke Hut! So many proteins and toppings to choose from. I got a Tuna & Salmon bowl with two sauces on the side. Staff was very friendly, inside was clean and inviting (don't worry this is not their table, I got mine to go!). Good vibes, good food, good people. Will be back soon!

I found this place through Door Dash and am in love! I hope to go to the brick and mortar location in OTR soon, but had to try the food before getting there in person. It did not disappoint. What drew me in was the wide variety of creative and unique foods. My husband and I shared the Taiwanese popcorn chicken which was incredibly delicious and had a unique flavor that is hard to place but very tasty. I would get this as a personal meal in the future - it was that good! My husband had the beef udon noodles and enjoyed it as well. It had a lot of toppings and I thought the yellow pickled radish (I think?) was a unique touch. I had a build your own poke bowl, loaded with toppings. I liked that each bowl also comes with complimentary crab and you can pick multiple proteins for each bowl. Next time I hope to try the Taro Milk Tea and some more of their unique dishes.

My partner and I spent the last 5+ years living on the west coast, and we miss poke. We haven't found anywhere that does a really good poke in Ohio. Well, that seems to have changed. Poke Hut does a delicious poke bowl. Visiting on a whim, we grabbed a small poke bowl with salmon and spicy scallops on rice and zoodles. We added some other toppings, including carrots, seaweed salad, and delicious mushrooms. Upon the first bite, we both smiled: tasty, tasty poke! We also enjoyed the pork BBQ buns. My partner visibly melted into his seat after the first bite of his pork bun. Service was quick and friendly. The shop itself is very understated, with a cafeteria-style line, simple chairs and tables, grab-your-own utensils, and some outdoor seating. The prices were reasonable, too. Next time we're in Cincinnati, we'll find our way back for poke.

I don't give 5 stars lightly but I think Poke Hut deserves it! When we lived in Cincy we came often and it was always really good. We are back for a wedding and decided to order delivery from Poke Hut to our hotel. I always feel like business make portions smaller when doing delivery but that certainly was NOT the case with Poke Hut! The food was filled to the top of the lid and seriously PACKED into the container! The food tasted great :) we particularly love the spicy scallops protein :) I highly recommend Poke Hut! I also love their açaí refreshers but that wasn't available through the delivery app :( Come for good poke, you won't regret it!

Great portions and great price! The staff was really nice and helpful, even close to closing, and the food was delicious. Our first time here and we'd definitely return.

Had this for lunch takeout. It was a portion large enough for two meals and seasoned well. I did feel the amount of shrimp (7) was a little skimpy, but they were at least a decent size. Good on the go hibachi option.

There are many options for the drinks (milk-based tea or fruit base, etc)..and, if you want, you can customize it however you like your drinks (ice, sweetness, topping, etc), too. I had a large brown sugar milk tea and thought it tasted good. I don't like my tea too sweet, and I found 30% sugar perfect (not too plain and not too sweet either). The boba that came with it was still bouncy and had the right chewy (and not soggy) consistency. The tea itself was probably around $7. But for the whole grand scheme of how fast prices are rising these days due to inflation, I thought the prices were still more stomach-able (is that even a word?) among students /crowds looking for quick snacks/something light. The only things that may be less optimal were: 1) small store size (there weren't many seats inside the store; so chances are you are going to take it to go) and 2) they didn't seem to have hot options (you can sure ask them..but I'm not sure how that will taste)..so this shop may not be a great idea when it's super cold outside/in the winter.

On a recent trip to the Cincinnati area to visit with family, we made the stop at Jungle Jim's on…read morethe first afternoon were were in town, which was on a Saturday in September. Jungle Jim's International Market is truly unlike any store I have ever been. It is hard to describe, but it is a grocery store, international market, restaurant, bar, and more, but all on steroids. They even have their own podcast! There are so many sections and areas in this store, that if you truly took your time to shop, it would probably take an entire day to see and experience it all. It is a must-stop if you are visiting Cincinnati, or are local to the area and have never been. There are two locations of this business, but we visited the Eastgate one this time. It specifically is located on Eastgate S Drive, in a strip with a few other businesses on each end. This is in the heart of the business district for the area, so it is not hard to locate and navigate to. The signage on the front facade is huge, colorful, and distinct. There is even a tram-type vehicle suspended above the street, so you will not miss it. Since this is in a business-heavy area, there is a ton of parking all around. We visited on a Saturday, and the parking lot out front was quite busy, but we still had no issue finding a spot just a minute or two walk away from the entrance. Once you walk in, that is when the fun begins. There is so much going on throughout the entire store, but in a good way. Similarly to a typical grocery store, there are different departments and areas for different items. However, the size of everything here is so much more grand. Each section could truly be its own store, given both the footprint and the variety of items available for purchase. This goes for both the "normal" grocery areas, as well as the international and specialty items. Not only is the variety of items available impressive, but the manner in which they are displayed is also very appealing. Each area is decorated with large displays and signage that hang from the ceiling, giving the whole place a whimsical and fun atmosphere. It is fun to not only shop the products, but see what kind of decor and sculptures will find you in the next area. I loved the beehive with rotating bees in the honey section! In addition to grocery and other food items, there are sections with cookwares, beer/wine/alcohol, cigars, clothing, pet items, seasonal items, and much more. I am sure you could do your regular grocery trip here, but it might take you a little longer due to both the size of the store and desire to peruse all of the different items they have! Another fun aspect of Jungle Jim's is the variety of dining options. There are several places to purchase prepared foods, most of them being around the bar area. There is also a Sushi section near the main entrance. The full-service bar offers different tastings, weekly specials, alcoholic slushies, and much more. We took some time to enjoy a brew during our visit. It was fun to walk around and shop while enjoying some beer. The store has different areas and stations for tastings, samples, demos, and events. They have an entire calendar on the website that outlines some of the various tastings and events they have monthly. Some of my favorite sections in the store were the Bakery and the Sauce/Spice area. The Bakery has many different fun and unique items that they make themselves. There are also different vendors and other local businesses featured not only in the bakery, but throughout the store. As far as the Sauce section, I truly have never seen so much hot sauce variety in my life. It is really fun to look around here and find something that you did not even know existed. The service here was very good overall. There are a lot of employees, and everyone we interacted with was helpful. Tons of checkout lines were open, and we did not have to wait super long to make our purchases. The bar had a slightly long line, but it was not terrible. There are some good values to be found here, if you look in the right places. I would definitely look at both the weekly ad and signage around to find some good deals. On our visit, I found some energy drinks for about $1 a can, which is a very good price. Some things will be more expensive, given that it is an international market, but overall I thought the pricing was fair for most items. This is a must if you are in Cincinnati for any length of time. Definitely budget a few hours if you want to look around and see all the store has to offer. I would advise grabbing a cart and your walking shoes, because the store is very large. I always love coming here and checking out the selection, even if I am not necessarily hunting for anything specific. This place is great for anyone, as there will be something you will enjoy or want to try here. Plus, they are a locally-owned business supporting other locally-owned businesses. Highly recommend stopping at Jungle Jim's!

The first experience shopping is almost overwhelming - it doesn't feel that big at first but it just keeps going and going and going. You can find some crazy deals scattered around. The rear entrance takes you directly to the (huge) liquor section, with a full bar where you can grab a drink while you shop. I recently heard about the story of Jungle Jim's starting as just a humble food stand in the 70s, which over time expanded to the attraction that it is today. It's not every day you see a store this size that's not owned by a billion-dollar international corporation. They're Cincinnati locals, family owned, made their success, and continue to provide value and entertainment to the families that visit. It's great to see. If you plan to visit, expect to be there for at least a couple of hours!
