I love this place, but I was disappointed with my recent visit. They've changed their menu, and unfortunately, our favorite dishes are no longer available. The quality of the food has also declined. The noodles have become thicker, more like store-bought than the handmade noodles they used to serve, even when we ordered the thin noodles. The soup is also very weak and lacks flavor. The meat portion has also been reduced. If you're craving beef noodles, I highly recommend going to the Dayton location instead. I also tried their beef and broccoli over rice, but the rice smelled stale, and the portion size and taste were not worth the price. read more

I am rounding up. Great flavors, but a few hiccups. The DanDan noodles were quite clumped together but the flavors were really bold and tasty. The salt and pepper prawns had a batter that was kind of thick. I didn't expect this preparation, but again the flavors were on point. The tripe skewers didnt seem grilled but has great taste. I would honestly rate this place 3.5 stars, but since I can't rate it accurately I'll round up to 4 stars. Anywho the staff was really nice and are open for feedback so they can improve - which is quite refreshing! Braised Beef Noodle Soup - The hand pulled noodles are GOOD and legit! Perfect texture and chew - this is delicious! The soup broth was delicious as well - nice depth and perfect saltiness. Dan Dan Noodles - My friend got this one and next time I will be getting this next time. Texture of the noodles again were perfection and the sauce was superb! Braise Pork Over Rice - This was okay.. it was mid. The texture/cut of the pork could have been better. The service is quick and food was delivered hot and fresh quickly after ordering. We tried their taro and Thai milk tea. For the bubble tea you can select your level of ice and sweetness levels. The noddle dishes allow you to upgrade to hand pulled noodles which I highly recommend. I tried the vegetable stir fry noodles and my husband tried the beef noodles. The portions were large! I'll start out by saying- the food is incredible and worth the wait! I think because they're fairly new in this location they're still trying to figure out operations / maybe low staff issues but it took 45 minutes for us to get our food - noodle dishes came out first, then dumplings and everything at once. At first I was worried we hadn't submitted the order (you use a QR code at the table to order, so there is minimal interaction with the server). There were two other parties (one 4 top, one 6 top- we were 4) in the restaurant while we were there, so it wasn't super crowded. My hope is that the longer they're open, their service becomes more smooth and efficient. We were deeply disappointed when fortune noodle house closed, and very happy to see this place opened and similar cuisine! Plus who can resist dumplings and hand pulled noodles?! Name a better combination that hand stretched Lanzhou beef noodles and snowy weather outside. It's warming, delicious and makes you slow down to enjoy your food! This location of Kungfu is new and is currently in their soft opening, so the decor is still a work in progress, but the food is delicious! Delicious, fresh, bold and flavorful! Every single bite! The whole grilled fish is impressive and chock full of spices. I loved their meat skewers, we had the lamb, chicken gizzards and beef. Don't skip out on the hand pulled noodles-famous for a reason! Theyre chewy and satisfying to bite on. :) you can see them pulling them fresh to order thru their window. Our friends brought us food from here while we were on maternity leave and overall it was tasty! The Langzhou beef noodle soup very much tasted like beef pho with different noodles and had really good flavor. The pan fried dumplings were ok but the wrapper was too thick and it needed a soy-based dipping sauce to go with it - ours came with a spicy chili sauce. The strawberry mochi donut was delish. Sometimes I feel like I have a hard time finding places in the Cincinnati area with decent vegetarian options that aren't just the ubiquitous overpriced Impossible burger or a salad and fries (if I'm lucky and they don't use beef tallow to cook them). I was very pleasantly surprised to see Kung Fu Noodle pop up in a search for Asian food, and I decided to come with two friends. I should say that the area the restaurant is located in is not car-friendly, and finding parking could take quite a while and/or cost you a pretty penny, so be prepared for that before you visit. After finding parking (right in front of the restaurant, lucky us), we walked around to find the door. What we thought was the entrance had a huge lockbox hanging on the handle, so we incorrectly assumed that was closed to the public. We were wrong though, and that was the correct door! We were greeted promptly by a very kind server, and seated in the back of the space in a corner booth, which was lovely. They were busy, but not packed- a nice balance. While perusing the menu, we noticed the reasonable prices- most appetizers range from $3 per plate to $6 per plate, and entrees range from $10 per plate to around $15 per plate. My dining companions and I decided to order a few appetizers- if you are a vegetarian and you come here, be sure to ask for literally every dish if it is vegetarian friendly or not. Some dishes that I saw listed online as vegetarian friendly were not actually safe to eat in person, as they had meat products in them. We ordered the rolled tofu skin ($3) and were going to order the steamed buns ($6) but were told they contained pork. We decided to cancel that part of our order. They were brought out to us though, and my friends are not vegetarian, so we shrugged it off and they ate them. The rolled tofu skin was spiced well, and was warm and filling. It wasn't hot at all, despite being listed as spicy, but I wasn't terribly upset. I will say that the texture of the tofu skin was not to anyone's liking and I doubt we would order it again. I did hear that the pork buns were good but I cannot personally attest to their excellence. For our mains, we ordered two of the vegetable stir fry (holding off on the hand-pulled noodles, which are a $3 surcharge per plate) and one order of Thai popcorn chicken. Everyone liked their entrees, but I forgot to ask if mine was vegetarian (you know what they say about assuming), and it had a sort of beefy taste that was concerning. I did ask the server and was told that it was vegetarian after they checked in with the kitchen, but I didn't fully trust it even still. We also all ordered the mochi doughnuts, which were delicious. We got one Oreo, one chocolate, and one churro doughnut and each tried them. We all unanimously agreed that the Oreo doughnut was best. I was really happy to see our server utilizing proper food safety protocol by putting a glove on before using tongs to get the doughnuts out. Overall, we had a decent experience here! For the three of us with tip, our total was around $70, which felt amazing knowing that we went out as a group earlier last month and our total was closer to $100. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this place, but I would definitely like to return and give it another try, and I recommend that anyone reading my review do the same. Happy dining! read more
