    "Teriyaki " chicken bowl
    Crystaline P.

Yall..... this is supposed to be a teriyaki chicken bowl with rice. First of all, it had noodles and not rice and I wasn't told this in advance. Second of all, look at this white chicken. Where is the teriyaki? It took forever for me to get the food, but I guess that's not really their fault. It's more of the Uber driver's fault but starting to eat my food and realizing I have noodles instead of rice and really don't taste any teriyaki is crazy. in my opinion is just courtesy if you don't have an item to call the customer and let them know because I could've ordered something else to eat. I'm from out of town. There's nothing that I wanna walk to late at night so I have no choice but to eat this, but it's not what I ordered.

Poke loa is a great place to visit if your looking for good poke! The service is good. It's a make-to-order setup so you can pick what you want. The tuna is usually fresh along with the rice and add ins. Recently they stopped carrying chili paste, which is a bummer because that added the right amount of heat without overpowering the dish. Now, you can use chili oil instead, but I haven't quite figured out the exact right amount of that. It's a good problem to work on! Enjoy your poke!

Honestly the service was so terrible that I would never come back. No introductions, hanging out in the back on their phones with AirPods in ignoring us. Finally came out from the back and didn't talk to us for a few minutes, take note it's dead inside, they weren't busy. The rice was in clumps and hard. However the jalapeños were perfectly tasty. Overall service sucks and food quality isn't bad but probably won't go back.

Decided to check out some poke in New Orleans. Poke Loa is a pretty standard poke bar. Nice, clean set up and friendly staff. You pick regular or large (2 or 3 scoops of protein for $16 or $18) and then all the toppings you want. The protein scoops are pretty small and I feel like this is the trend lately, to minimize the protein serving. Too bad. But the quality and taste were very good and I appreciated that they didn't charge more for any toppings. Overall very good!

This place is clean and the food looks great. There are signs on the wall to assist you on how to order and a couple signs showing examples of a fully done bowl. I like that there is a salad option in addition to the white and brown rice and zoodles. I chose the spicy tuna, but the regular tuna and salmon also look good. Plenty of mix-in options and sauces/dressing. You have the option of medium (2 scoops) or large (3 scoops of fish) bowls. The medium is plenty enough for the average person. There is also some signature cocktails that sound really good. I will have to try it next time. I highly recommend eating here.

My wife and I travel the country a lot and we always try to find Hawaiian inspired places whichever city we're in. Poke Loa has some of the best Poke we've had! Amazing flavors, friendly staff, and in a cool clean environment. They even have a tiki bar which is a neat touch! Fresh food is at its pinnacle here!

Upon rolling into New Orleans around midday, I needed food after an already long day of travel. Plus my room wasn't ready for me yet. So I strolled into this establishment and got the King Loa. A nice sized bowl piled high with the fixings. It did not disappoint my empty stomach. Good start to my return trip to this great food city.

Coming from Hawai'i (and even working at a poke shop!), I'm always a bit nervous to try poke shops on the mainland. I've ordered at the store and through delivery and all times were very satisfactory! Poke bowls typically don't come with quite as many toppings as offered here. It's usually just fish and rice. I actually really liked the selection of toppings here and for the most part, matched pretty well (I've never seen mango on a poke bowl though). I recommend pickled ginger, red tobiko, orange masago, furikake, edamame, seaweed salad, and crab salad. The way they prepare the fish is also interesting. Poke shops usually have the fish pre-mixed with the sauce and mix-ins. I did enjoy having onions and cucumbers mixed in with the fish however since the sauce is added in when you order, I've never really been able to taste the sauce as much (which may be preferred if you like sauce on the lighter side). The spicy ahi is already prepped and the spice is very prominent and very tasty! Overall, this is a great place for a poke fix! The regular size is very filling. Can't go wrong with a side of miso or the marinated cucumbers which are very good! It would be cool to see them incorporate other Hawaiian/asian seasonings such as alae, oyster sauce, wasabi, limu, and inamona.

Let me start with how friendly staff at this location. I had TERIYAKI CHICKEN BOWL and it was perfect for lunch and enough portion for me. Definitely check out this place if you are looking for quick bite to eat.

Who doesn't love poke? My second time visiting this location and everything was perfect. I usually get the veggie bowl with tofu and ALL of the toppings. It taste like a deconstructed sushi roll...yum. The set up is pretty cool. You can choose from signature bowls or build your own. It also comes in two sizes, regular and large. The regular is plenty, trust me and I can eat. This is a great choice for a quick lunch or light dinner. However, when I say light, don't think that means you will not be overly stuffed. Another plus for Poke Loa is that they serve mix drinks and beer. Happy hour specials are available through the weekend. Fresh, tasty and filling bowls. You will not be disappointed with this place. The bowl options are endless and flavorful.

Decided to take a walk from Hotel to check out a local eatery and they were closed on Boycott Bowl Sunday. I walked by noticed this neat concept so walked in. Friendly and patient service for a newbie. Great fresh options for poke bowls. My only issue is size of three scoop seemed small for price. The bowl was tasty and made the way I wanted. Adding this spot to my healthy options when returning home for visit.

Your choice of fish poke is salmon or tuna. The marinated Ahi tuna is always first to sell out. Fresh, never slimy. It's a bunch of young kids, and then this one guy who showers you with compliments on your choices and engages in small talk as you're building your bowl. Some see creepiness, I see passion for poke. Keep on keepin' on my guy. Lastly, I wanted to bring special attention to the spam musubi I got on my last visit. The menu probably said "scam musubi" but I didn't have my glasses on so I must've overlooked it. The spam slice was paper-thin and did not sit over the entire bed of rice. The rice was well-cooked. The sauce was good too, but none of it excuses the embarrassing sliver of meat product that was hanging on for dear life as to not fly away with the slightest night breeze.
