Sake has such a cute interior! I've never had a bad experience with service. I love that they have a free parking lot. They have a bigger menu with a variety of rolls! My sushi rolls are always good (crawfish roll & crunch roll)! I cannot wait to swing by for a happy hour!

Went there tonight. I had: asian bbq ribs crunchy rolls shrimp fried rice shrimp pad thai screaming shrimp and great drinks and service from Alicia! She's the best! Will be back to sit with her at the bar! Hot amazing food and great drinks! I had a great time.

Don't order from DoorDash, my order took over an hour to be delivered by DoorDash and they got the order incorrect. As you can see the roles were not wrapped in soy paper.

I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura and the sauces that came with it. We sat at the bar & there's a tv there so the game was playing. The bartender was very sweet. I love that they have their own parking lot which is rare on Magazine.

Our party of six came in for happy hour. We ordered and when the check came, our server told us she forgot to do happy hour pricing but comped two of the dishes saying that it evened out. Our party paid with one card with intention to split the bill in private, but after calculating what the correct happy hour pricing should have been, we discovered we were overcharged $22 for the bill. Everyone agreed the food and service were mediocre. If you do go, try the eel! The eel was very good.

My forever favorite! I've been hitting happy hour at Sake Cafe since grad school, and it was such a joy to visit again. 7 day happy hour, folks! The food is consistently delicious and the service is always great. I think our server was a little new, but she was sweet. The decor is open, trendy and ambient. The walls are full of signed pictures from high-profile, happy patrons. It's just an all-around great place to be with even better vibes. I recommend the goat cheese gyoza and the lava roll. Can't go wrong with the sashimi, either. VERY fresh. And my partner was a big fan of the crunchy rolls, he had at least two! Also, it's pretty accessible no matter what your mode of transportation. There's the 11 bus, and if you're driving, there's plenty of parking. Enjoy!!

Pretty standard Americanized fare. A little on the pricey side for the quality. I only go if someone else insists.

Bummed about this one. Got takeout and found a small piece of metal in my food. Not good ! Hate spending money on takeout that I'm afraid to finish.

    Dirty wine glass

I've always come here for sushi with friends, however, after this last time, it might be a while. A friend and I were drinking wine and found brown dirt stuck to the bottom of the wine glass from the inside. That's gross.

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!

We were desperate to cool off. Their AC was so cool and necessary during the heat wave that we had just spent a couple hours walking through. 2. This place served best rum punch I've ever had. Oh my goodness. Turning down a second one was hard!! 3. I've never had a server who appeared as invested in our order as our guy. I developed an old lady crush on this sweet man! We told him that we are both vegetarians and one is a post bariatric surgery puzzle. He was so sweet and supportive that I would return here weekly if we were local! He made sure we had what we needed. 4. We ordered the roti, two tacos (Rasta & cauliflower) with coconut rice and plantain as the sides. The tacos were both so extra, so yummy, the roti was tasty- but the sweetness on top confused me- we loved the plantain but not the rice. We'd be back in a heartbeat. I want to try every vegetarian option here!
