The inside is beautiful. The artwork and tropical plants transports you somewhere warmer. As for the food, I think Poke can be intimidating to people who are not familiar with it because there is a large room for error in my opinion. There's a large number of ingredients and sauces that don't always taste the best together. I did appreciate the menu with steps to orde. It helped my husband who doesn't get poke as often to decide. My 2 cents: a preset poke bowl menu and pictures might help the ordering go more smoothly. The Tuna and Salmon were good, the shrimp was miniscule. Sushi rice was delicious and overall it felt like a nice healthy and fresh meal. Poke is overall expensive so portions were on par with other locations. I think its the lack of marinating the protein or sauces that are lacking in flavor. There was a variety of texture but no saltiness or spiciness or umami flavoring to offset the blandness or the veggies and protein. Interestingly enough, the spam musubi was one of the best I've had in a while. I loved the egg addition to the 2 slices of spam and warm rice. We were in the area and happened to stop by here completely by chance. The place is okay. Unlike other spots where you already have "pre-assembled" ingredients for a poke bowl and just choose which one you want (so-called signature bowls), here you have to build it yourself. The poke was fine. The ingredients are fresh, and since I picked what I like, of course I enjoyed it. The place feels cozy and interesting, with lots of plants inside. My only complaint is that the low white tables are very close together, so you literally can't move. They need to be spaced out a bit. read more

Absolutely enjoyed the ambiance, but the food was lacking an abundance of flavor. The spam musubi was very dry and had no flavor to it. It was fully packed on with a huge quantity of rice, but it was disappointing. The Ube Queso was light, airy and not too sweet - it was prob the most memorable out of everything. However, I will say that their fish is very fresh and the portions of the poke bowls were great. Overall, it was very mid and I most likely won't be revisiting. read more

I have ordered PO probably 25 times in the last year and I'm sorry, but we have to break up. It provides/provided a somewhat affordable healthy option for dinner or lunch, but the consistency is poor. I've gotten bowls soaked in sauce and bowls with almost no sauce. I've gotten a decent amount of protein for a "5 scoop" bowl and I've gotten virtually no protein. On average, the prices have gone up maybe 50% in the past year and what you get for your money has slowly shrunk. read more

The staff was soft spoken but polite and professional. We ordered the three protein poke bowls. I also ordered a smoothie. The smoothie was good but super tart. It needed slightly more sweetener. The poke bowls were very fresh ingredients and everything was very good. The fish was very fresh as well. We ordered the samoa donut and ube cookie as a dessert. $6.50 was a bit steep for a donut but I had to try it. It was worth it. Overall this would be a place we would return to. read more

Alright ya'll. Former resident of Hawai'i here. I like to try and support small businesses so I feel bad about this review, and I love me some poke. I knew that I had to adjust my expectations trying to do poke on the continental US, but lower my bar as I could, this thing is nowhere near poke. Call it inspired by poke, call it raw fish cubes with some random ingredients, poke it is not. Ain't no one making poke and squirting the sauce on separately at the top, with multiple different versions over the same mass of unmixed mess. I tried to ask for the most unbastardized version hoping that I could exorcise the granola out of it, but it was impossible. What is "poke sauce?" No damn clue. I asked if the octopus was marinated. No, just straight boiled. And I get that the fish was previously frozen. That's a pretty standard thing even in Hawai'i. The salmon was fine. But the tuna's consistency felt grainy, and ain't no good poke got grainy tuna. Don't do it people. If you want a deconstructed california roll, go for it. If you want poke, go somewhere where you aren't expected to be the poke chef with your own recipe. Nice plants though, and even names of stuff that made me thought maybe they had a connection to Hawai'i. I was a fool. read more

Excellent food and friendly service. The portions are generous and the fish tasted extremely fresh. I liked the variety of toppings offered, including some that I have not seen at other Poke restaurants like dried octopus, tobiko fish eggs, and spam. I enjoyed the presentation of the food, too. I ordered a medium sized build your own bowl with two different kinds of tuna. It was served in a heavy ceramic bowl- felt better to eat on than plastic. The utensils were also not plastic and the straw in my drink was reusable as well. These are small things that I appreciated and my overall dining experience here was great. The build your own bowl is a good option and the instructions are easy to follow but if you have any questions the staff are happy to walk you through the process.
