A casual spot to grab poke bowls and plate lunches. Service is quick and friendly. The cashier explained the menu to us and other customers. They have a single long table if you want to dine in but we saw most people taking their dishes to go. The OMG burger was topped with creamy ahi. I upgraded to a combo and ordered it with a side of eggplant fries and a drink. The creamy ahi was very oniony and complimented the burger nicely. The eggplant fries were soft and served with a tasty sauce. The Executive Style plate was a great deal with kalbi, garlic shrimp, fish and poke. Overall a great spot if you're in the area!
Rate: 3.5 Stars My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the Deconstructed sushi bowl. They replaced the shrimp for octopus/squid which I was very pleased with since I have a crustacean allergy. However, the seared ahi bowl was not a raw poke bowl. It was very misleading because the chicken was thoroughly cooked. It was more of a chicken and rice bowl.
Been a while since the last time I dined here, but my friend said that this is where she wanted to eat. She was in awe of the amount of items on the menu. Finally she opted for one of the specials, miso butterfish plate at $23. I wasn't as hungry so I bought a half pound of ahi shoyu poke. My friend raved about the butterfish, good choice on her part. I didn't care for the poke. All I tasted was a strong shoyu flavor, very disappointing given the price of fresh ahi poke these days. Not sure if I'll come back, it is a little pricey for guys on fixed incomes. I guess I need to get used to the new norm in dining prices.
Poke Stop is a beautiful and wonderfully put together establishment. The service was to be expected for what I ordered. I'm sure not that many people order fried shrimp by themselves, but I did. They were not what I expected. I was highly pleased with how they turned out. They were nice and crispy with a light tempura batter (eat them while they are hot so they don't get soggy). What really stood out was their daily special. I ordered a "Fried Oyster Poboy" combo (came with fries and a drink). There was a sauce on it that may have been their version of remoulade. It was a little sweet for my palate but still very flavorful. Back to the Thursday Specials offerings: I was pretty surprised to see Crawfish and Chicken Gumbo on the special list. I was very excited and skeptical at the same time. Most of my reviews are me bashing dishes that have Creole, Cajun, and Louisiana in the title. With that said, Gumbo is a staple where I come from. It's easy to mess up and not many people agree on what's in it (on any given day). I tasted the gumbo direct from the establishment. I'm not going to bash the Gumbo. This gumbo was light of flavor and had a layer of grease on top. The rice that came with it was separate. It's all good. My recommendation is that you take the gumbo gravy (wasn't really roux) and scoop it out and put it on the rice. Put it all on there. I had a little butter in my fridge so I put a little of that on it with some Cajun seasoning (Slap ya Mamma) and salt. 10/10 for my preference. I was actually grateful it came under-seasoned. My overall experience was 8.5 out of 10. I'm very impressed with this place. This revived motivation to eat in Mililani.

Renowned Chef Elmer Guzman, who was a graduate of the KCC culinary program knows how to create some awesome local style plates at a modest price in this casual place. I love their poke and their creamy salmon is among my favorites. Today, I got the Executive Chef plate. It was loaded with a combination of Korean style bone-in kalbi, garlic shrimp, garlic Island fish & your choice of poke. I opted my plate with creamy salmon poke, white rice and potato salad. It's da bomb! Taste so ono and I had a hard time finishing it all- but I managed to- hehe! The service was great from ordering to leaving. I dined in and my meal was served on real plates, water cup with ice, and silverware. My meal came out quickly but I did come at a slow time. There are signs posted that say "Fresh Food isn't Fast- Mahalo for your Patience" so it might be a good idea to phone order ahead of time. The place was very clean. There's a tub to place your used dishes in. There's a long table to sit on as well as counter space to eat. The friendly staff said "Thank you!" when I was leaving. Of course I'll be back!

I got the executive plate with Kapakahi poke, Sous Chef plate with Kapakahi poke, salmon skins, spicy garlic tater tots, and a half pound of smoked ahi belly. I am never disappointed when I eat here! Even the girl that works here remembered me, and is always so friendly. 10/10 recommended if you're in the area!
Craving poke but can't decide where to stop since there's a ton of places on the island? Look no further. You came to the right spot. Not only was this place featured on Diner, Drive Ins and Dive, it was by far one of the best experiences I have had at an establishment that made it to the big screens. The auntie that took our orders was soooo patient. I literally took so long to decide what I want because the choices were incredible. She even gave us samples. Talk about choice paralysis. Anyway, I ended up getting the garlic ahi w masago poke bowl and the rice was cooked to perfection. I am craving it right now as I'm writing this. They also have other choices if you're not into raw fish such as burgers, gumbo, etc. I live about 35 mins away but I would absolutely make the drive out to Mililani just for this poke and the service. 10/10 all around!!!!
Came with my husband to poke stop to get a Taegu chicken plate for him. Haven't been here in a year when it was good and friendly staff or maybe my luck today wasn't a good day for them 240pm. The chicken was plain no flavor not even at least a drizzle of Taegu sauce more like one splash, my husband was so hungry typical guy just eat. All I gotta say is was dry no sauce cannot even taste any sauce. Will never come over here again and definitely going tell my friends and family on this side no eat here.
Fish was good , had plenty seating , service was great. The pistachio and ricotta cake was so good!! The place is original with a lot of artwork.

The fish looks JUST FINE. As a matter of fact, I just ate some from BOTH bowls and the poke was AWESOME. Some people are just unhappy with their lives and find the need to take out their unhappiness out on other people. It makes them feel good about the issues that they are having in their own lives, giving them a sense of control in the chicken shit lives that they lead. To Christina F. of Moanalua: just stay home and save yourself some heartache and pocket your attention-seeking behavior for people who actually care. Your useless Yelp reviews, while helping you to feel like you have some sense of control in your insignificant life, mean nothing to people who actually know what they are talking about about. Poke Stop has awesome food. I eat here ALL THE TIME. Never got sick once. Nothing but a full belly of top quality poke. 5-stars all day, every day.
I ordered the Executive Chef Plate, and honestly, the best way I can describe it is: meh. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out either. For something called the Executive Chef Plate, I expected a little more flavor and personality. The food was very average overall, and most of what I tried was pretty bland. The salmon poke did not have much taste, and the garlic shrimp and fish were underwhelming. The kalbi was probably the best thing on the plate, but there was only one piece of it, which was disappointing. The cashier was polite enough, so no issue there. As far as ambiance, I did not really take much notice since they were about to close, but it did not seem like a place I would want to sit down and eat. Thinking back, I do not even remember seeing much of a dining area or tables. The whole experience was just very forgettable. Overall, it was okay, but nothing special. It filled the stomach, but there was nothing about it that would make me rush back. Based on this visit, 3 stars feels fair. read more
This place is close to the Schofield army base and on the way to north shore. Some of the dishes here are tasty and very flavorful. (Just ask for recommendation but I tend to stick to what they seem to specialize in) It's also pretty unique because you don't really see Cajun+Hawaii fusion dishes. That potato salad is excellent. You can also see chunks of potato's in it. The chef also has a culinary school background from KCC and worked under some famous chef in New Orleans and Hawaii. I also learned Guy Fieri made a TV show about this. I remember ordering from here 2 years ago and was surprised how good it was without knowing the background. So it's like a hidden gem. I got more pictures of what I got in the past, but I'm too lazy to look for it in my album. But I'll stick with their signatures. (I like the smoke meat, crispy sushi roll, blackened Ahi, furikake salmon, etc) read more
I've grown up with poke stop, from when they just had their original location in Waipahu. Chef Elmer is so solid and we're lucky to have him in Mililani. This is one of my favorite places to get food and I probably come here multiple times a month. The creamy ahi poke is the best spicy ahi style I've had (love that touch of smokiness). The gumbo is always solid and is something hard to find in Hawaii and you know this one is legit since chef Elmer has a background working in Louisiana. Deconstructed sushi bowl is another favorite, good variety for when you're indecisive. The cooked fish plates are always solid too. The crawfish sauce is a must try. The only critique I got is that the fried sides like eggplant fries, tots, etc are just way too greasy. I get that it's fried so it's gonna be greasy but for whatever reason it's just excessive so I stay away from those. But so many options to try here and lots of good stuff! Flavor can be hit or miss but fish is usually fresh. Come here often to buy poke and will eat the next day for lunch. Bought this last night and today it's pretty brown like it's at least 3 days old, full of sugi, and scraps of fish. read more

I really like their poke but their service is inconsistent. The female cashier needs an attitude adjustment. We were looking at the case of poke, not one word from her. When we let her know we're ready she rolls her eyes at us like we're inconveniencing her. The males that are sometimes cashier are friendly. I would not return due to the service, but it's the closest poke shop to my best friends home so it's convenient to stop here on the way. read more

You have a brand new profile with a single review that you created just to take a picture of my returns, post it, and respond to my comment? Yeah.... you really sound like an "actual customer" Yet, no one found your review as helpful besides me. Did they? You're obviously an employee or manager there; being so invested to actually take a picture of what a customer returned, post it, and actually consume the returned bowls of spoiled ahi. I'm sure it's totally normal for a random customer to take pictures of returned food items to a restaurant and actually eat it, right? (Sarcasm) Btw, Thank you for posting the picture of the bowls that I returned. That way everyone can see it. I'm pretty amazed that you can post what's obviously spoiled meat while thinking this "will prove me wrong" while being completely clueless that you just supported my complaints by doing so. All while being incredibly ignorant, smug, and insulting about it. I have eaten Poke my entire life growing up in Hawaii and I have an Asian mother. I've eaten ahi from many different locations from Hawaii to NYC. I've eaten different grades of ahi from the grocery store type (which is still pretty good in Hawaii) to fine dining ahi (A significant increase of quality and tase). I have never once seen any of those places try to sell poke this low quality and OLD! The fact the you can look at what you posted (and I returned) and think, "Hey that looks okay and I'll actually eat it!"; tells me that your stomach is made of steel and your head is filled with rocks". Marinade doesn't turn the meat that dark!!! Of course it would look and taste okay, to someone who is completely unaware of what fresh and good quality ahi should actually look and tast like. That's why they soak it in shoyu Marinade!!! You think it tastes fine Because your TASTING THE SHOYU MARINADE.... What's really crazy is your gas lighting. I was still polite and respectful, while I was returning the bowls. Which is more than I can say for a business that would try to increase their profits by selling old ahi and risk getting their customers sick. For a meal that costs almost $40?!?! They shouldn't even be giving it away for free, let alone charging the price they did for it. You posting the bowls really just supported my claims. I'm pretty sure it's your complete lack of common sense and experience of what fresh ahi should actually look like; that's causing your rude, and ignorant smugness. Your train of thought is actually pretty funny; posting what's obviously old poke and then pretending that it's fresh is actually laughable. Being incredibly rude and insulting as a way to support your claims of the poke being "just fine", is hardly enough to ignore the picture you posted AND of what I returned; of what's obviously old ahi meat. Although the new bowls were the correct color, the quality was still sub par. Especially for the cost. Here's a thought? How about insuring that your restaurant serves better quality product and not try to shame someone (who has common sense) for not wanting to get a food borne illness? The only thing your post accomplished is making yourself look absolutely ridiculous and mentally challenged; by posting what's obviously OLD AHI MEAT. You can laugh at my claims all you want. We eent to the Poke Stop to eat lunch. This place is great It's nice n clean n great seating with a/c. Love the table top design. Parking is good n plenty too. We had the surf & turf plate n ahi tempura sushi roll plate today. The owner Elmer greeted us n talked story a little. Next thing I notice he said try this n this. Corn chowder n eggplant fries. Omg it was delicious n tasty. Nothing I ever had before. Now I will try it again. Their foodhas a Great taste n freshly made daily as you order. There is so much to choose from n some many choices to try from seafood to meats n burger n vegetarian styles too. This place has it all for everyone who eats differently. Their customer service is very great and excellent n polite. As you wait, they bring it right up to you. Let's say if you in the area ... stop by n try their food. You won't regret it. Picked up another amazing Family Meal from @pokestop today for just $45.95. It says it serves four; but actually it was more than that. We got: Roast Pork w/Honshimeji Mushroom Gravy Country Style Red Potato Mash Mari's Mixed Green Salad w/House Dressing Hawaiian Sweet Rolls The Roast Pork; while it did have a lot of fat; the meat was tender & moist; along with that tasty mushroom gravy. The red potato mash went well with the roast pork. Their house dressing reminded my wife of Sam Choy's dressing; which was perfect with the mixed greens. You can use the sweet rolls to make roast pork sliders. Just like our previous Family Meal we got about two months ago (sweet ham); their main course portions are generous. Their ad says it serves four; but in reality; it probably can serve 6 to 8. All in all, a great tasty meal that doesn't break the wallet. read more
