The mash potato was so watery that it looked more like cream of potato, stuffing was so soggy and looked more like the tester of a thick gravy and turkey was dry. Oh my, talk about the gravy itself was so oily that it half of the container that it came with was oil. It looked like it was poured in container without much thought to it. The only think that came okay was the cranberry sauce and the pumpkin crunch desert. I had the turkey pack meal ordered last year back then it was good. But somehow it went downhill from then. Seems they mixed new ahi poke with old ahi poke. The old ahi chunks were dark, almost black. We could smell the old fish as soon as we took off the cover. Very disappointing. I always wanted to stop here and try it out. I came by for lunch with my husband today around noon. No wait. Their menu is huge and sounds delicious. They have several different fried rices to choose from. I'm not sure how their cooked items are. I came for the poke. I wasn't impressed. I ended up with the one choice poke bowl with Kim chi fried rice and their creamy ahi (spicy ahi) The poke didn't seem fresh to me which was a bummer. I liked the kimchee fried rice. My hubby got the poke bowl with two options. The salmon poke he had was good. One bummer is that they don't let you sample the poke before you order. Foodland even lets you sample the poke before you buy it - post covid. I won't be stopping here again for poke, but their breakfast menu and other options sounded really good. Yelping on behalf of my 17 year old vegetarian daughter. She ordered the veggie lovers burger which had a huge portobello mushroom and some tofu inside. Also their "famous eggplant fries". Her first bite she said was fine and interesting but once she started eating more it got really oily. She took it apart and thought that if she ate it separate that it would be better but she really didn't enjoy it. And I can contest to the "famous eggplant fries" being extremely oily. I found out that they're doing a giveback every Wednesdays... they want to help out families who have been affected financially by Covid-19. All you have to do is show them their IG post to receive the offer. No purchase necessary, 1 per family. I missed last Wednesday (4/22) which was free squid luau. But I was able to get their special for this past Wednesday (4/29) for their kalua chicken and mushroom gumbo! They said it feeds 4-6 people and it gave my mom and I two meals each which was great! It was a little bit salty, but still tasty and we're very grateful for them helping out families in need, and mines too! I also went back on Friday. They were having a special garlic tri-tip steak plate for $6.95! It came with your choice of white or brown rice, potato mac or tossed greens, and if you want, for $1 extra you could get sauteed mushrooms and onions. Never been to this location. Been to the waipahu one. Ordered the Hawaiian poke bowl that comes with Kalua pig .Good portion size, rice was cooked well, not mushy, or grimy or hard, the poke was fresh, limu was Ono. The Kalua pig was good, flavorful. My suggestion is when you order any ahi poke bowls is to order it and eat it there immediately and not have it covered and you having to drive for a long period. The fish will kind cook a little if you leave it in the bowl too long because of the hot rice. A person can miss that raw fish texture eating. However, Despite that, the bowl was good. First off, the menu says it will have "ikura" but when I opened the lid of my bowl, it was not ikura but tobiko instead. False advertisement and super disappointed! Next, the little rice cracker balls that were all over the top of the rice and salmon were extremely stale and got stuck in my teeth. The sushi rice was very mushy. Po boy was soaked in oil, executive had the smallest piece of kal bi, soft shell crab in bayou bowl was soaking in oil. The good things were the eggplant fries, not nearly as oily as the other 2 items mentioned before. The fish on the executive plate was good as well. My friend and I from time to time get takeout for lunch from Poke Stop's Mililani Mauka location. He got the surf n turf crab cake burger and I got the sous chef plate. The surf n turf crab cake is topped with hot pastrami with some honey mustard sauce. The sous chef plate comes with your choice of poke, Kalbi, and garlic island fish. You can choose brown or white rice and tossed greens or potato salad. I got shoyu poke, white rice and tossed greens. . They both were tasty, but for the burger, a little bit more pastrami would have been nice. It was just a small piece. The Kalbi in the sous chef plate was delicious and meat fell right off the bone. We happened to be in Mililani because we had a curbside pickup at Walmart so we thought to try somewhere new. The wifey was craving poke so the top search result was Poke Stop. I was a bit hesitant considering the 3.5 star rating but we figure to give them a chance. We had opted to do a phone order for pick up and the experience was off to a rough start. The gal who had taken my wife's order didn't show any patience in answering my wife's inquiry to substitute the poke in our bowl orders and gave a bit of an attitude. However, she was very courteous during pick up at the restaurant, night and day from her attitude on the phone. We ordered: 1. Deconstructed Sushi Bowl: blackened ahi sashimi, sesame tako poke, creamy ahi substituted with garlic ahi poke, masago - I may have messed up by substituting the creamy ahi out with the garlic ahi because there was nothing to balance out the blackened ahi which I wasn't too impressed with in terms of taste, I would've rather had fresh ahi sashimi instead of it blackened. The sushi rice was a bit too sweet for my liking and the portion for the masago was barely anything. 2. Bayou Bowl - tempura soft shell crab, spicy crawfish, blackened ahi sashimi, pickled okra, and added creamy ahi - this bowl was pretty good minus the pickled okra, again just don't have the palette for it and just didn't blend well with the poke. Perhaps take out okra and replace with more tempura and give it another name hehe. Overall quality of the fish were okay, the flavors of the poke doesn't wow you like other specialty poke shops, but maybe we'll give this place another shot at another time in the future. I have arrive at their door a couple times only to find that they are off catering an event for someone. I'm not even mad at them. How can I be upset that other people find their food just as tasty as I do? The poke is fresh and well seasoned. The interior is small and comfortable to wait in, but not really set up for people to eat there. If you are eating by yourself or in a group, pick up your food and take it elsewhere. The food is ono. Take your time and give the menu a good look, as the specials change with enough regularity to keep your tastebuds eager for that certain something new. When you order, your food is made for you right away. Just a brief wait, because your food is freshly prepared. There is a case of pre-made goodies, if you want to point, grab, and go. As for what to expect, expect a lot. There are at least 13 different types of sandwiches/burgers on the menu, five sides, soup, six Poke Stop bowls, and 15 different plates. And then there are the specials. Give yourself some extra time to make your selection. Don't worry though, because you will be back again for more. read more

Picked up Limu Ahi and Shoyu Ahi poke from Poke Stop. Also ordered Tatum's Poke Stop Burger and soup of the day (creamy kobocha soup). For purest, Poke Stop's poke is very true to the ocean. The flavors are rather bland and you can taste the fish-flavor of the cubed ahi pieces. I'm not a purest and I like my poke with a lot of flavoring (sesame oil, chili oil, spicy ahi sauce), so I ate my poke over rice with Korean nori and I drizzled some shoyu and sesame oil sauce. My son's burger was very well-done and difficult to eat. I had to make him a package of Sun Noodle ramen because he refused to eat the burger. Lesson learned ----- leave the burgers to Teddy's. I love this place. I have been here several times...for breakfast and for lunch....and have never had a bad meal. Know that this is not a large restaurant...maybe 30-35 seats...and sometimes it gets crowded, but its so worth it. Plus the service is good here, so I have never had a problem. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center..so even if you cant park in front of the restaurant, you will find parking. There are several things I love about this place...but really, its all about the food and the chef. Chef Elmer always does a good job in creating dishes....that are addictive. The deconstructed sushi bowl is a great example of something familiar turned into a work of art. Blackened ahi sashimi, creamy ahi, sesame tako, tobiko, shrimp and pickled ginger over sushi rice. It is the perfect blend of textures and flavors...causing your tastebuds to explode with happiness. I havent had homemade chicharron in a very long time and Chef's version is not only delectable, but it comes with an amazing creamy dipping sauce. You can tell by tasting the fish here (in all it's forms) that it has been carefully selected. You may not think to order a sandwich here, but the bayou burger is such an amazing combination of soft shell crab and burger...giving your mouth the ultimate 'surf and turf' sandwich. I am a fan of O'io poke (bonefish poke)...because of this chef. It is not the prettiest poke ever...but man...so addictive and flavorful. And the music/TV is always loud, I have to yell and I can't hear anything they tell me but honestly those are such little complaints I have but as you can see I came 4 days in a row because the fish, the fish for one is soooo buttery. I decided to try this place since one of my friends would always talk about it getting her poke here. I originally ordered a poke bowl with two types of salmon through Uber eats. While I thought the salmon was sweeter than usual, I still wanted to give them another try. This time I went in person to order the creamy salmon poke, furikake salmon poke, and and shoyu ahi poke, and I cannot say I would recommend this place. I've had better poke other places. Surprisingly, both salmon pokes I ordered tasted overwhelmingly sweet, like it was marinated in sugar. The same sweet taste from my Uber eats order was amplified by 100 and it was awful! I always order the same type of poke anywhere so I can say I was not fond of the unusual sweetness. As for the shoyu ahi poke, it was extremely salty. I'm not sure why the flavor profiles were overpoweringly on opposite ends of the spectrum. Overall, I felt like there was no balance of flavors so it was very disappointing. As for the service, the girl at the counter was very nice and patient. No issues here at all and there is ample parking space. If you're craving poke or even trying it for the first time, I recommend trying elsewhere before trying here so you can compare and figure out what you prefer. Their quality is not the most consistent, which is easy for me to see as I mainly get the same thing every time I go, but I liked the food here overall. However, as I was eating my food tonight, I encountered something very chewy in my poke bowl. When I spit it out, I saw that it was a plastic piece of trash like from the seal of a small pill bottle! This is gross and disappointing. I had seen some recent bad reviews for this place but had wanted to continue to support this business. I usually like poke stop for a quick bite at the Waipahu location. So i thought it would be good to grab lunch at this one, since Mililani was on the way. Walking in, there are some pretty cool wooden seats and a long table for all to enjoy. There is free parking too. That's as good as it gets. Walked in and the counter clerk I got asked if I was ready to order. I told her I needed to look over the menu. After looking at the poke selection, I didn't see the creamy ahi poke. So I opted for creamy salmon poke. I waited a while until the lady came back. She didn't really go anywhere she was standing by the kitchen area not paying attention to customers. I told her I was ready to order. She came back and I ordered my creamy salmon and asked for a spicy poke bowl for my coworker. She rolled her eyes and snapped back "we don't have spicy poke! We only have creamy poke" what the hell??! Last time I checked customers aren't required to memorize the damn menu. I went ahead and told her that I did not see the creamy ahi, can you please add the second ahi bowl and change my salmon to ahi. I took a breath and told her to change my poke bowl to creamy poke with salad greens and the other poke with rice. Then she repeated "ok so 1 creamy salmon, one creamy poke" I corrected her and said "No, 2 spicy ahi poke bowls. Remember I wanted to change my creamy salmon to creamy ahi. Then she raises her voice we don't have spicy ahi!! Dude chick. Chill out. I get it that I mixed up spicy and creamy, but you don't need to raise your voice, scoff and roll your eyes in front of a customer. In fact I have no idea why they would put such a person with attitude running the counter. She clearly did not want to be there. What really irked me was when I finally got my order, the poke tasted so old, fishy and it was not that pretty red color. It was black. My coworker got diarrhea from it. Not cool. The only thing nice about the visit was the seating and chalkboard menu. Customer service was a total fail, food quality was terrible and the overall experience makes me want to gag. Mililani poke stop needs to ensure they educate their workers on customer service, professionalism and please check your food if it is still good to serve. I ordered the Executive Chef plate expecting something amazing or even decent but I was sourly disappointed as it seems either someone went vinegar happy or someone spilled vinegar on most of my plate the only decent tasting item was the seared ahi. The potato salad was very vinegary which threw me off bc I've never had that kind of flavor potato salad before. The spicy ahi poke was warm and funky.. also tasted of vinegar and liquid smoke?
