Bowl with Lobster Salad, Tuna, and Salmon with loads of veggie toppings and trio sauce
William C.

Great spot to get your poké fix while you're shopping around Assembly. While there are loads of food options in the area, this place stands out in it's offerings with fresh fish and unlimited veggies/toppings that makes for a healthy meal. With it's limited space, the seating is pretty much where you would line up if it gets very busy. However, the service is quick and friendly. While the proteins aren't marinated like in many poké spots, they have fresh fish and they have many sauces to enhance the flavor of the bowl. I don't mind that they weigh out the protein portions because at least you know you're getting the standard amount no matter who is scooping your bowl and plus you know food costs per portion are a thing. Who would've thought? I've been to other places that do it "by the scoop" which has some variance to it and when you're hungry there is nothing worse than seeing an employee scoop what looks like a normal portion and proceed to knock pieces out of said scoop. Anyways, the portions are generous whether it is the proteins or the additional toppings (look at that bowl filled to the very brim). They even offer seaweed salad and and crab salad as toppings without any additional costs. I've eaten a lot of poké and have had better elsewhere, but that doesn't knock this place for what it brings to Assembly. I've been back multiple times over the past year and this place has been consistent.

Not the quickest spot sometimes, but worth the wait. Highly recommend the Spam musubi -- $5 for 2 (such a deal!) And if you swing by after 3PM, boba is 50% off

Fresh and delicious ingredients, but stingy with toppings. They even weighed the proteins they served on a scale instead of just serving one scoop like other places do. Also, they used a paper tray and plastic spoon to collect toppings in, instead of directly placing them in the final bowl which seemed like a waste. The inside is new and cute like the rest of Assembly Row, but I probably wouldn't come here again unless I was really craving poké and happened to be in the area.

Love this place! I almost always get a bowl after watching a movie at the AMC. The prices are reasonable for the quality of fish and wide variety of toppings and sauces. The best poké I've had so far in the area and in a great location.

Bubble tea

To be honest I only went here for bubble Tea, but I would recommend TenOne across the street over this place. I bet their food is good tho.

Im so happy to have a poke spot so close now!! Pokemoto does not disappoint. First of all the staff is SO nice. The shop is small but there is plenty of seating and if theres a line, it moves quick. There are so many delicious topping options and you can get at least 2 meals out of a large bowl! The fish is tasty and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed our bowls.

Miso Salmon

Food: This Miso Salmon bowl was meh. I don't usually have a lot of poke so I guess I can't make many comparisons, but it wasn't really anything special. Service: The workers were nice and cheerful, it's poke, so it's fast (chipotle style). Ambiance: I took it to go, but I came during lunch break on a Wednesday and the store was empty (which I didn't mind lol). The inside of the store is cute, bright, and it's in a wonderful area of Assembly Row, so plenty to do afterwards! You can also sit inside/find a seat outdoors.

Miso Salmon, Hawaiian, and build your own bowl with tofu

I was here on their opening night with a couple of friends. The staff is absolutely the friendliest! They were so kind, kept asking us how we were doing and even offered us free sauces and drinks. The line to order your bowls went fast. They have lots of labeling to let you know what kind of ingredients are available for the bowls. I got their miso salmon bowl and although I really liked the salmon, it was a little plain / bland. But I was able to add a spicy sauce to it and that pulled the whole bowl together. My friend built her own bowl and to our surprise other than the protein there was no limit on toppings! A friend also tried the boba tea, it was amazing! We will definitely be back!

As soon as you walk in, you are in the battle of the drums between the Kumasi and the Djembe. So loud I couldn't think . I did ask to turn it down a few times, in the middle of my meal the Chef said I could eat outside. On that note I ordered way too much. The fried chicken was delicious !! Not greasy at all. But huge, sorry today I ordered two thighs that were the size of one large breast. A little condiment of shaved coconut and chive was on the side. Any sides were à la carte. I did try the " Cabbage Salad" that had a nice flavor, but was overdressed and is mostly iceberg lettuce, and rice with surprisingly sticky rice , so it was kind of yummy. The chicken came with one sauce I got the curry. It was divine.. & my friend got the chicken bites and some kind of mayo. I was going to leave a five star review because the food was that good however, on the receipt they charged $.92 for the containers and eating utensils. I'm disheartened because if they offered an alternative like a plate and regular silverware, I could see not adding it into their cost. If I refuse to pay for the containers, how would I eat it on that note the chef was nice enough to me to have me try a couple of items that I didn't have to pay for. Which I greatly appreciated and that is why I'm leaving such a nice review. I do recommend eating here, but take it home. Or call for delivery, they have their own AP. PS great smoothie's !!!

I decided to order Spam Musubi (rice and spam), a Byte (mini fried chicken), and tapioca tea! My girl went into the store and had the food ready within 3 minutes, which is really awesome as we were in a hurry. However, we were really disappointed by what was inside that bag, as none of them were as good as we expected. 1) Spam Musubi's rice was lost in texture itself. It tasted like old rice. Yet spam was well not bad. We ate all of them. 2) bytes( mini fried chicken) they were overcooked. I attach the picture of it. So hard to chew and meat was nothing there. And I requested mayo but it was not there. But spicy sauce was with them instead in the box. The kids were complaining it was too spicy for mayo. 3) boba tea, I ordered with boba with extra fee. But it was not there just milk tea with brown suger. Later my girl who went to there to pick up, told me the server continued to speak to her even though my girl told to write down as she was deaf. Can't lipreading. Quite disappointed with the service and food.

As we made our way inside the restaurant, Chef Chris took the time to greet us and since we were the first ones there for our time slot, he gave us the option to pick any table we wanted for our omakase experience. He is very personable and took the time to get to know us and talk a bit about his background. The tables were split into separate sections so that you were seated only with your party which I thought was a nice setup, especially for a date night. We decided to do the Grand Slam Omakase with 16 courses with a specially selected sake pairing. Chef Chris took the time to explain each course, with several of the components being made in-house. I was an especially big fan of the Hokkaido scallop course but everything was phenomenal, especially the nigiri. You can tell that every aspect of every course is crafted thoughtfully and with care. If you are looking for an omakase experience, I would definitely recommend reserving a time at Momi Nonmi!

The rice preparation and seasoning choices were perfect. I need more fresh wasabi in my life! We also wish the chef sold pints of his miso ice cream. He told us up front that seatings are for up to 2 hours and we finished in about 90 minutes. We would love to go back, but it's definitely more of a special occasion type of place than an everyday one.

Funny enough when we visited my friend was also in town that weekend and by happenstance we happened to get to the restaurant at the same time. Luckily we were able to give our name and they had a cancellation and were able to be seated within 20 to 30 minutes. The upstairs is pretty cool. I really like the decor. One of my favorites was these monkey lamps they had. The food was pretty good and we had gotten a slider for my son which basically filled him up. My wife and I split a poo poo platter and got an appetizer and that was enough for us. The drinks were really good. We had gotten a few to try. I like my first one and really enjoyed my second one. I asked the waitress for a recommendation and she made one and then when we went for our second round she did say she was new to the job so I went with something I knew I would like. They also sell some of their mugs which is a cool bonus. If your into tiki drinks definitely pick up a wusong road branded mug when you stop by. We got two.

Pork Cutlet Curry: The restaurant specializes in fried foods, with the pork cutlet being their absolute signature dish. Although the cutlets were on the thinner, leaner side, each one was fried to order, resulting in a crispy exterior and tender, juicy interior, fragrant but not greasy. The breadcrumbs were especially fluffy and light, bursting with flavor on the palate, which was incredibly satisfying. The curry was authentic Japanese curry--rich, mild, and slightly spicy with a distinct fruity aroma, perfectly suited to my taste. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for a runny egg for the $2 additional egg; otherwise, it would have been even better. And at only $15 a serving, including a salad/miso soup, it's incredibly good value for money, perfect for lunch. Fried Oysters: Also crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the oysters were fresh and juicy. The lemon juice and salad dressing were refreshing. I felt they were even more delicious than the pork cutlet. The place is located in Lesley University's Main Hall and has only four tables, so you may have to wait.

They have the option of take out too! We got a couple appetizers to try & each got a different ramen. Here's what we ordered: APPETIZERS - chicken karaage - okonomiyaki-styled tater tots - green papaya salad RAMEN - miso ramen - spicy miso ramen - chef's ultra ramen - spicy tan tan ramen Thoughts: I thought the appetizer portions were pretty generous! A lot more than we were all expecting. I was pretty much already full before the ramens came out. Wasn't a big fan of the green papaya salad. It was missing some flavor. We all thought that it would be better if it had some tomatoes & garlic. Didn't seem like they used a mortar to ground the aromatics or anything, since the sauce just tasted like fish sauce and lime. The chicken karaage was okay. Wish there was more sauce to dip the chicken with. Chicken was also on the drier side. The tater tots were the best appetizer of the three we ordered, IMO. If you like takoyaki balls, you'll like this because it has similar sauces + bonito flakes. Ours needed some salt though. As for the ramens, I personally had the spicy miso ramen. It was missing a lot of depth in the broth that I would've liked to see (& taste). I didn't taste any miso to be honest. Salt was needed too. The highlights for the ramen were the chashu & corn. I loved that they used fresh corn! The chashu had the perfect amount of fattiness & almost melted in my mouth. The noodles were nice and chewy. The broth was just disappointing though. For the other ramens, everyone enjoyed the one they ordered. I tried a little of the chef's ultra ramen & the broth was much better than my spicy miso. Btw, the spicy miso ramen is not spicy at all for anyone who is hesitant & cannot do overly spicy foods. The food was a bit disappointing for me. I came in with high expectations with all the good reviews I read beforehand. Not terrible but not great.
