I was warmly welcomed upon entering. I'm not sure why the place felt somewhat unsuspecting to me, just very mellow. The person preparing my food was enthusiastic and helpful. The food was very good and the quality was good. I enjoyed it and had no complaints. The only hard part to swallow is the price, but I think that's all poke shops these days. I can't blame them for their prices, but it is an important part to consider, and is one thing that makes me hesitate eating poke like I would every day if I could afford to. This is the first time I've ever stepped foot in this place and I'm glad I did! Food was yummy, service was quick and staff was informative, welcoming, and friendly. Price was good. The only thing for me was, the scallops. I don't know if it was the heat that day, but when I got home, it didn't taste all that fresh. Everything else was delicious. Poki Point 2 is my go to poke spot when I want more protein options than just tuna and salmon. While they don't have pick up orders, the staff are always fast so lunch rush is never a problem. Besides poke, they have a long list of drink options. I wasn't impressed by the passionfruit tea as it tasted too artificial. However their Vietnamese coffee is legit and potent. =POKE= *Bowls: their standard bowls include either 3 or 4 scoops of protein. There was an option for a single scoop for kids at a lower cost. *Bases: included white or brown rice, mixed greens, cucumber and seaweed salad. The bases could be mixed together also. *Proteins: included a plethora of fish along with chicken, octopus, and shrimp for cooked options. My favorite were the marinated tuna and scallop. As a tuna lover, I enjoyed having the option of having it raw, marinated, seared and spicy. *Toppings: most notably their spicy crab and regular crab meat were free add ons. Other toppings included corn, radish, carrot, ginger, wasabi, edamame, masago, pineapple, cucumber, jalapeños, cilantro, tempura flakes, fried garlic, green onion and seaweed salad. The fried garlic is a must have. *Sauces: very basic options. The spicy sauce definitely has a kick and comes in three levels. Nothing wrong with spicy mayo but there was limited ingenuity. Staff members have always been nice and each bowl is made carefully. Not many places have scallop so I always come back when I want that as my main protein. As a tourist who loves good affordable eats, Poki Point is on point (thus the name!) on several areas. First, the gentleman and the young lady who assisted us & prepared our food this evening were friendly & super accommodating. My dad requested for a drink not on the menu and they've customized it for him. Second, the serving is generous. I was hesitant to try this shop as I saw a review about how small the serving was. Not tonight. The bowl is bursting & we already dug in before I remember to take pictures, that's why the images I've uploaded were no longer pretty lol we just ordered the regular bowl. Lastly, the food was amazing. It was so good. The gentleman customized it to the way I liked. My bowl was the spicy tofu bowl. No meat. Only thing I noticed was an odd smell when we came in. Poke Point was always my go to quick healthy-ish lunch. Stopped by on 9/11/24 at lunch time. It wasn't busy. Only one couple inside. I ordered my usual. A regular bowl which comes with 3 scoops of protein. I chose my usual - brown rice, spicy tuna and spicy crab. I was so excited to get home and eat my bowl since I ordered it to go. My first bite tasted off. I thought maybe I accidentally ordered a different sauce so I kept eating. Every bite just didn't taste right. Half way through my bowl, it ended up in the trash. And then shortly after, I ended up with diarrhea. Sad to say that I will not be going back to Poke Point. read more

So good! This is like build your own sushi bowl. You get to choose from two different bowls regular (3 scoops) and Large (4 scoops) of protein they charge for any additional protein scoops. They also offer kids size bowls and vegetarian bowls. I got the regular size with shrimp and spicy tuna. Love the seaweed salad and tempura bits. I recommend you check their menu online to see what base,protein and side options they offer. This will help you get an idea of what you want and make your order process faster once you arrive. I'm new to the area and was super excited to see Visalia has a place like this! They also offer smoothies and milk teas. They were a little understaffed this time and it would have taken too long to make my drink but I'm excited to come back and try it next time :) read more

I love you their original one but we are on the very North-West side of town so it's nice to have something more central for when I'm out and about. Plus it's next to my pedicure spot (score!). All the goods with spicy Mayo and eel sauce. YUM! Can I just say I'm Obsessed with their seaweed salad and the fact their jalapeños are always thickly sliced for a nice little kick and their avocados are always fresh! Been coming here for two years, and today I go in to get my usual poki bowl...the spicy tuna definitely has more fillers in the mix now, and the masago now looks like a dull yellow paste, instead of bright orange visible eggs. The employees said the owner is using a different company now, and it's obviously to sacrifice quality for more profit. Here's a piece of advice: When you sacrifice quality for profit, you lose customers. If the price of masago and tuna has gone up to the point that you're willing to serve an inferior product, then keep the quality and raise the price accordingly. I'm telling you, this is the spot. Round 100 today, we ordered a watermelon, strawberry smoothie and I forgot what poppers my wife got. I myself got a tarp milk tea with strawberry poppers and let me tell you, this is the drink. Don't disrespect yourself by not getting a milk tea when you go here, I don't even need to try the other flavors to know they're as good as this was. Now moving on, we have spicy musubi, and regular musubi here. I honestly really dig the regular one, the spicy one is so damn delicious too, but be warned that baby packs a punch. Disappointing! No matter what size bowl you get most of it is going to be rice. The scoops of protein are dum small. Not worth it.

First thing I noticed is that the window film is peeling off the front doors... not a very attractive entrance to this restaurant. I walked in, there were 2 people eating at a table, but no one in line. Two employees, one is on their phone. I was asked promptly, "What can I get for you?". I hadn't even had a moment to glance at the menu posted up above the counter. I told them I'd need a moment, but honestly, I felt rushed, even though there was no one else in line. No explanation from the employees on how this works, or suggestions on how to order. I ordered a bowl with a salad base with shrimp and ahi tuna. Food was good, although I asked for just a little bit of spicy Mayo, the top of my bowl was pretty much covered with it. As soon as I sat down to eat, employee was back on his phone. Meanwhile, I'm looking around and honestly, this place is not very clean. Could employees wipe the tables, maybe? Or wipe down the walls and toe kick at the counter, instead of chatting on their phone? I used the restroom before I left and the sink wasn't very clean. Employees need some training on how to be more welcoming and on how to clean... not just tables, but walls as well. If you're going to have a restaurant that serves raw fish, it needs to be spotless. It's not terrible, but I'm not blown away. Not sure if I'll be back. Employees need more training on customer service and maintaing a clean and welcoming restaurant. read more

Not worth it for what you pay, you get so little in return. The protein portions are a joke. Toppings are unlimited (except avocado) but they barely put any on your bowl. And if you want more of the same topping, it is extra. I also asked for half rice half spring mix for my base and there was barely any rice on there. This review is for the one on mooney. I'm not sure why it does have its own. Anywho, third time trying it and second time trying the Musubi. Let me tell you!!!! They are the best thing ever. I've tried other ones from other places and nothing compares to this delicious musubi. I'm not really into seaweed and definitely can't taste much of it so it's perfect for my taste. The staff is super friendly it's quiet but great vibes. I never have a chance to take a picture because I enjoy every second of it. Next time I get some I'll post it. But definitely coming back. I also tried one of the poki bowls and tasty and filling. I got a matcha drink (no boba) and it was yummy. I like the option that you can choose what you want. I've been going to the original Poki Point for years and hands down they have the crown for the better location. We came in and there were 3 employees relaxing behind the counter. They had no customers so it was a slow night no big deal. They were very nice and honestly the service wasn't that bad. Now the food however, that's a different story. So we got two bowls and 2 girls helped us. The first girl asked us what base we wanted and kept getting distracted with a conversation with her other coworker and forgot to ask about what other sauces we wanted mixed in on the first bowl. She didn't pay attention as much as the second girl and let me just say the servings of the proteins...2 little salmon pieces in the scoop she grabbed. She gave no effort in giving us a good amount of protein like the second girl. Honestly the first bowl was half the size of the second. The second girl asked me what base, what sauce, and gave very good amounts of protein and was quite attentive. The inconsistency with the first girl and the first bowl was a bit disappointing. Also we both got a scoop of spicy crab meat and it tasted rancid! We spat it out. It wasn't the best experience and unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning here. Went to this spot with my bf to grab lunch. We each ordered poke bowls, food was good. Ordered a Wintermellon boba drink. It was NASTY. When I asked for them to remake the drink or refund for it, the employees refused, they said that it was against policy. Nothing was posted and I didn't demand a refund. I know what the drink should taste like and this was gross. It appears that they may have called the manager then decided to remake the drink. Didn't let me know it was done, didn't apologize, just sat it on the counter and went to the back room. Worst customer service I have experienced yet. Can't see myself going here again. read more
