We were both still hungry when we were done, the bowls got smaller the portions got smaller, you barely even gave us rice And vegetables are you serious? It's setup like a fast food joint (but did play some good ol hip-hop hits), the prices are decent to a little high. They had run out of spicy tuna and salmon (we got there around 730pm). Thought my first trip in was great! The staff was so helpful with suggestions as it was my first time in. My poki bowl with salad base was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, cold and delicious. This poki treat was excellent on the hot summer day that I went in. There are many many choices here on what to add to your bowl, my fav was all the spicy options. The sauce selection is solid too. I did think the portions of toppings was a little on the small side, for sure my only complaint here. The place itself was very neat, clean and cool. Use to love this place- (so much) that I was able to redeem my 2500 points for a $50.00 gift card. Had a few hiccups here and there with my orders, but no big deal.Today, was a whole new experience- just when you thought you'd be valued as a regular customer and for your loyalty... Once you get your gift card- even though you arrive in person they insist you can ONLY use it if you place an online order. As, I was struggling to place my order on the app several other guests were arriving -in front of me. Finally, I showed the manager that: items were unavailable and several glitches. He then agreed to take my order manually. (Not sure why this option wasn't available initially- especially if you know the ordering system has many issues?) I always bypass the base (so no rice or salad)- which saves the company money you'd think. Instead, I got into a back & forth exchange with an associate and the manager. I NEVER asked to substitute the base for anything else! But, unfortunately they thought I was requesting more vegetables instead.. Really???? Finally, I requested to check my orders, since from time to time they've been incorrect. The manager told me (no) that's against protocol.. (I'm confused) this is the food I'm paying for?? If a mistake is made you don't have to take back the same items- I touched! (Take a note from Starbucks- when an order/drink is inaccurate) He then assured me they'll be correct, I saw her make them personally. So, I received both of my bowls and immediately went to a nearby table to check them. One was missing mango and the other bowl was missing ALL the vegetables. I told him and he again stated- no there in the bowl. Finally, I had to physically show him that the items were missing. He apologized and said he could make them over for me.. Really???? At this point, I'd been in the restaurant for about 25min.. I declined! Why treat a regular customer as if, they are trying to rip you off, or as if-they are lying????? The flavor is good, BUT!!!! Out of all the places I've been to to get poki. This is the place that has given me the least amount of protein. I got the Maui size and literally was getting like 3-4 little cubes of salmon or tuna per scoop. Which is only 4 scoops. I've tried this place a few times before writing this review. The food is fresh and they have ample selection. Prices are on the higher side of poke bowl places I've been to in the IE, which as long as you are getting what you pay for with quality or portions isn't a problem. The problem is when you are starting at the higher side then have small scoops of kimchi and up charges for every other thing. Load me up like it's a chipotle!! Staff is friendly, they have a points perk for free drink, topping, stuff like that. But I can't give 5 stars because of the nickel and dime-ing vibe. If you want $15 for a large bowl, that's fine- it's a good amount of food, but then don't charge $1 more for seaweed salad, or another $1 for melon baller scoop of imitation crab meat. Gotta be one or the other IMO. read more

Second time trying out this place. The first time, we went in there in person and you receive 10% off on your first time purchase. The second time, I ordered them online and received10% off through online purchase, cool! I ordered two maui bowl and wanted 3 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of scallop, but end up getting it the other way around, but my 1 scoop of protein ended up having only 3 pieces of them and I even searched and dug though them.. where's the rest?! So here's my pros and cons: Pros: - Taste mediocre - The closest area you can find Poke in MoVal - Better if you go in person vs online pick up Cons: - Little amount of protein. 1 scoop protein = 3-4 pieces of fish - No choice, but to finish your bowl because it's overpriced and why waste your money? - Terrible scoopers - Limited choice of topping through online (limit of only 3 toppings and 2 sauces only) Moral of this experience, take your money elsewhere! read more

Our family and I went here for lunch after visiting the Van Buren flea market. A first time visit here and we weren't disappointed. Their boba was delicious and my Poki bowl was full and filling! I had the Kahuna bowl. My base was a salad instead of the tradition rice. My veggies were cucumber, carrots, onions and green onions. Then I had to pick 5 proteins, I had chosen salmon, two scoops of spicy tuna and two scoops of spicy salmon. Then they season the poki, I asked for the house sauce and siracha. And finished my bowl with ginger, kimchi, and crab salad garnishes. The boba I had ordered was the milk tea with boba. And my cousin had the avocado boba tea. I was a little disappointed to see that their Kahuna bowl is their largest bowl and it's priced at 17 dollars something. There are poke places that sell that size box for 14-15 dollars. The fish selection for this place was great, the vegetable selection was cabbage, carrot and cucumber. I was not very impressed with the vegetable selection. I would visit this place again if I was close by, however, it is pricier than most poke places out there. read more

I don't live close by so when I saw they had the option for pick up, I quickly put in my order online so I could conveniently pick it up on my way home from work. The process was super easy and quick from start to finish. Less than two minutes after I placed my online order I got a call from the restaurant where she politely informed me that they were out of a certain item I had chosen and if I would like to replace it or leave as is.
