Stopped by on a weekday evening and there was no line. The food took around 10-15 minutes after ordering. The restaurant was very lowkey and located in a shared plaza with plenty of parking. It's definitely more of a takeout spot, but they do have a few tables and chairs in the corner. They also sell a small selection of Japanese grocery items inside. I ordered the Hokkaido Bowl, which came with Japanese scallops, ikura, three pieces of salmon, three pieces of seared salmon, imitation crab, blue crab, masago, and cucumber. The wait was definitely worth it. All the ingredients were very fresh, and the sushi rice was prepared well. The portion was generous and filling without being too much and I really enjoyed the variety of fish in the bowl. Service was exceptional! Called as soon as they open at noon to place order, was told would take 20mins to prepare. Went to pickup and the cashier lady took time to show us each type of fish that were in the plater. How sweet! Sushi and rolls were good, rice was favored just right. This was recommended by the waitress on the phone as I ordered since the Blue Crab Shrimp Tempura was already sold out. When I arrived to pick up, there were 4-5 other parties all picking up but the progress was quick and smooth. The staff is nice and attentive; the place is clean, they have a small area of Japanese snacks or ingredients for sale near the register. The sushi is super fresh and not Americanized with lots of creamy sauces drizzled on top of the rolls. Not heavy handed with the rice portion and the fish is nicely thick and seasoned well. We put our orders in an insulated bag on the drive home because it was so hot outside. The sashimi was oh so delicious! This is a prime example of don't judge a book by its cover because you wouldn't expect to find top tier quality sushi in this area. Unlike most sushi restaurants, this one is primarily takeout. Please be sure to place an order before hand so that you can have your order ready before you arrive. The restaurant seems to be run by family who put their all into their craft to satisfy their customers. This is definitely evident in their food and their service. I find myself ordering the platters very often and I would say they are fairly priced. Some of the other hits are the chirashi bowls and some daily specials.
