Not a "regular" here. Out of town visiting and needed a full set. Had an appointment/not a walk in. First thing on a Saturday morning. Owner was my tech and at first rushed into my procedure (a little heavy handed and fast with the drill) without much of a welcoming introduction. Sister is local and once she recognized her name, became a little friendlier. I mentioned some residual glue around my skin and asked if she could smooth the edges before polishing. Did so but made me feel like a nuisance and rushed me over for my pedicure. If I were local, I'd have asked to redo my polish and perhaps smooth my acrylic a bit more. She seems to be friendly with those that are regulars, as I observed during my pedi. Pictures will explain further. Came here in an attempt to get my SNS nails soaked off simply because I was nearby. However, I came in, waited for 10+ minutes and was never acknowledged by the staff. They did not greet me upon entering nor did they ask what service I would like, or anything for that matter. This is very rude and unprofessional, especially when they are not busy at all. In fact, I made eye contact with several of the employees and they still did not address me. I was not about to stick around to continue receiving poor customer service, so I left! From out ward appearances, the place looks clean, with tasteful decor with spa-like quality atmosphere. Simple color scheme. Relaxing environment. In some other salons, the walls are filled with posters of products being sold. Not here, which is refreshing to me. I walked in with my friend in the early afternoon and we signed in on the log at the counter then sat down. There were several staff who looked up when we entered but no one acknowledged we were there. There were a few clients but not overcrowded. We waited a few more minutes before my friend stood up and asked for service. Someone came over and spoke to her about what service she wanted and said it would be about a 30 minute wait. And ignored me. I had to call her back to ask for service myself. Fast forward, about 10 minutes later, again at my friends request, she asked if someone could start soaking her gel nails while she waited so they could be easily removed later. The woman who did it was cold and impersonal. Not once said hello, my name is _____. How are you? About 25 minutes later, we were both being serviced. I noticed on the counter they advertised 4 different types of pedicures but the woman who performed mine didn't ask me what type I preferred. Shame because I was wanting a more expensive type but oh well... revenue lost for them! She never told me her name but she was polite and professional. I have been in other salons which are not as upscale as this place that offer water but not here. Those other places are also always friendly, polite and you are instantly greeted when you walk in, even if it is to say "We will be with you in a moment". Wonderful! I came to Polish on a friend's recommendation. I needed my nails done for my graduation weekend and an upcoming vacation. It just so happens that it was also Mother's Day weekend. Yikes, right? Well, somehow I still had the best experience. My mom (finished manicure pictured) and I both got simple gel manicures as soon as they opened at 9:30a. I believe my girl's name was Peggy? I'm not sure. But she was definitely in charge. She was so attentive simultaneously to me and each woman that walked in. She recognized almost everyone and made sure each person (no matter how many started pouring in) were greeted and assisted. Even as they got busier and the chairs started filling, she never took any shortcuts with my manicure (my cuticles needed help) or rushed. It's been over a week and they're still beautiful and going strong. The layout of the place is fantastic. Very open and clean. Great for parties. It is pricier than other salons in the city, but you get what you pay for. I'd absolutely recommend them to a friend, and I can't wait to go back myself. read more

So if I tell you who my favorite nail lady is are you going to rush and steal her away from me? Promise me you won't? Pinky swear or the deal is off? Hehe Well, I'm an only child so although I try to buck the stereotype and share, I get very possessive about my nail lady! But she's good y'all, Trang really is the best nail lady I've ever had in my life. And I've done it all, acrylics, get, regular manis, pedis etc. I started seeing Trang after going through a litany of different shops trying to find the Holy Grail of nail salons! And I believe I've found it here! My quest started back in March when I was getting ready for what I wasn't sure was a first date or not. Well the guy didn't last but I found a fantastic nail lady instead! Since I'm on a budget now and not seeing anyone I just do my own nails. But a sweet girlfriend who recommended Trang to me suggested that we get our nails done together so we could pamper ourselves and catch up! So we splurged and enjoyed ourselves immensely! I knew I was going to a boxing class right after getting my nails done so I went with the gel nails bc they wouldn't smudge during boxing! And usually I get a neutral color so it doesn't look obvious that my nails were growing out (usually I can get a good 2-3 weeks of wear). But this time I was feeling sassy and wanted a red color! Trang suggested the best color ever (see my picture) of OPI's "I've got the blues for red." When I tell you I've gotten SO many compliments on that color it's ridiculous! I'm contemplating getting it again for the upcoming Christmas holidays bc my high school bestie will be in town and I can ring in the New Year in style! We shall see! My only suggestion is that they have a frequent buyer card so I have an excuse to come here more often! Hehe And btw it's one of the prettiest, most spacious, salons I've ever seen. I love the pedicure chairs. And when I was in a pinch i've had two ladies doing my nails and toes at the same time, talk about pampering! And they have a huge selection of polish! OPI is always my favorite! Oh and I've seen fathers and daughters getting their pedis done here together too. It was cute! My first visit here was a couple of years ago. On the right when you walk in are all of the polish options, and they have a lot. Along the left wall are pedicure massage chairs with the sink to put your feet in. In the back wall, there are a few more spots for pedicures. In the middle are two long tables for manicures. Everything is so neat, clean and pretty. It does not smell like your typical nail salon when you walk in. I have only been here for manicures and pedicures, though it has been awhile since I have had a pedicure. They are quick to help with both. One Friday in July, after work, I came in, every single pedicure station was filled with customers. There were people just getting a manicure, but still. These technicians were really hopping back and forth. I was still in and out in a few hours for a gel manicure. They do also do waxing services, and I have been considering using them. All of the gals I have seen walking out of the waxing room have seemed happy with the final product, which is a good sign. There was one day a lady was there with her small (I would say 4 or 5) child. The lady slipped and fell, and all of the gals working stopped what they were doing and rushed to her aid. Had a pedicure here Monday. Place was clean... very nice looking salon. The manicurist did well until the very end. She didn't clip my baby toe nail down which was split(I had no idea it was split)...she polished me...after I started drying I noticed it. Asked her to fix it... she did clip and place more polish on the toe nail. Told me to be careful have a great day.... I asked her before she walked off could she put clear top coat on it once it dried more...she said yes....walked off went in the back room never to be seen again. Her co worker had to end up doing it for her. "There is no way my nail would have completely dried and been shiny without a top coat" she made me feel like she got her payment and tip and forgot all about closing out the service. I have been going here for months and I absolutely love it. I usually get a dip manicure and a regular pedi and it comes out flawless every single time. They stay pretty busy though, so it's best to make an appointment at least a day before. Even without the appointment though they always try to squeeze me in! The staff is super friendly towards guests and each other which is especially pleasant to be around. There is also a very clean and relaxing atmosphere. I came in for a mani pedi. I had to wait about 20 minutes or so then they set up the foot bath for the pedicures. Very clean and decorative environment which helps relax. The massage chairs are a nice touch to help enjoy you pedicure. My gel manicure came out nicely and so did the pedicure. Unfortunately I am very disappointed in the service and quality of work after going to this salon. I had to wait nearly 20 minutes to see a nail technician for my manicure despite having had a set appointment, not really sure what happened there. I was in to get a manicure with the OPI Infinite Shine polish which I have used before (at a different salon) and have absolutely loved; it uses a special base coat, lacquer, and top coat for the infinite shine mani. The infinite shine polish lasted a solid two weeks before it started chipping or cracking at all so I was looking forward to another long lasting manicure without having to pay for a gel manicure. Let me start by saying the infinite shine manicure here is $25 and at the other salon I only paid $20 for the same thing but received better service and a better quality, longer lasting manicure. The manicure was going along fine until it came to her actually painting my nails. Maybe it was because the salon started to get busy, but my technician completely skipped using a base coat on my nails which I now feel may be the reason why this infinite shine manicure isn't holding up like it did the first time it did. Well I got my nails done on Thursday because I had a rehearsal dinner that night and a wedding the following night; by the time the wedding rolled around Friday evening I was already seeing cracks in the polish on my nails!! I was so disappointed especially after having such amazing results at the other salon with the same line of polish. Will not be returning to this salon as the wait was clearly not worth the quality of manicure that I received. Really upset that my manicure was rushed and the quality compromised. Not worth my time or money. read more
