it's been awhile for this post. I had baby highlights & haircut. I'm not sure why most are recommending baby highlights over regular highlights?? she is a skilled hairdresser, but in my opinion... she didn't know my hair at all & it turned out to be a horrible mess after I washed my hair for the 1st time & in the future. I also expressed that I needed to have my hair layered due to the amount & thickness of my hair.... I didn't get that haircut either. My hair was so dry (imagine touching "Hay") & unmanageable. it was so tangled after washing & conditioning. I used every hair product for colored hair, no hair mask would help. Leave in conditioners helped a little. I had to use Argon oil to help tame my hair, but still a hot mess. The color didn't stay either & turned a brass color. I've never spent so much $$$ & time on my hair in a salon. I've never spent so much time managing my hair at home after getting Tx done at a salon either. I lived with my hair for 4 months before going to Another Salon to FIX everything: correct color, collagen treatment, & a new haircut that actually works for my type of hair. This is a much needed and almost 2 months long over due review!! I found Tiffany while browsing Yelp when I was walking around the mall across her salon. I called her on a whim and she was able to fit me in 2 hours later!!! I'm very particular with my hair bc it's very thin so I just asked for layers but also keeping the length bc I'm trying to grow my hair out and Tiffany did a fantastic job basically bringing my hair back to life!!! At 20 weeks pregnant I was really hoping to revive my look and she achieved a perfect long lob that I was looking for. Tiffany did a great job of listening to the style I was going for and also asked a couple questions about my routine to help determine what would work best for me. She is super precise in making sure everything looked even and checked with me to make sure the length was good. I've know Tiffany for years and I'm so happy that she's finally opened her own shop! Not to sound biased but I've never met anyone that put the customers needs above all else. She makes sure her clients leave happy and that they are comfortable and satisfied with the service the whole time they are there. I came for a pedicure and she introduced me to different scrubs that made my feet feel so smooth and soft after I left. She uses disposable sanitary trays so I know my feet are not dipped in the same water as previous clients. I won't have to worry about infection. She's very friendly and makes you feel so at home. I'm a quiet person and she's able to get me to have an actual conversation! That's rare for me! I would definitely come back for she also provides other services. I'm thinking waxing next. The shop is very unique and has a warmth and homey-feel. There's a lot of privacy so I won't have to worry about others overhearing our conversations or looking over my shoulder when I am getting serviced. Tiffany is so sweet and accommodating! I came in with the hopes of either getting a trim and even entertained the idea of getting a completely new style. When it came time to make a decision, I opted to take a couple inches off and layering the hair more. Tiffany made sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure that I had the hair that would fit with my lifestyle. I mentioned that I'm a gym rat so I needed to make sure that I was able to put my hair up during my workouts and is super low maintenance because some days, I tend to shower and go on with my day. She gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I always get really nervous when people cut my hair because I tend to have trust issues with new people working on me, but she definitely took her time and I could see her facial expression in the mirror as she cut, as she was checking what she had cut, she would smile to herself which made me feel like I could trust her. On top of that, she's hilarious. She is really fun to talk to and as she was taking her photos of me, she goes "Oh, girl let's do your eyebrows." ... My eyebrows were really bad... I accidentally plucked too much and was growing it out so she was able to even it out for me. As she was waxing me she goes, "You're done playing with tweezers." I died laughing. I even ran into her at the mall not to long after and she recognized me right away and was pretty pleased with how my hair was growing out. (I totally am too.) Tiff's been my barber for about 2 years now and it was a journey to find her. I've seen plenty of barbers and none of them compare in skill and care. I found her randomly, but because it was a far commute, I only went to her when it was convenient.
