After my consultation I was nervous but decided to have faith and went forward with my appointment one week later. I haven't had my hair colored since Oct 2024. I let my roots grow out but the bottom portion of my hair was still blond ish. My natural hair color is dark brown and I wanted to go 2 to 3 shades lighter with subtle highlights throughout. I showed inspo pictures as a reference but most of it was verbalizing what I wanted. I was in the chair from 10:30 AM to 4:50PM. It was worth it because now I love my hair! I asked for a rounded haircut with lots of layers and face-framing pieces and I showed her my inspo photos as well. She first washed my hair and then got started on the cut. Yessenia did an amazing job! She was friendly and professional and gave me exactly what I requested. I wasn't sure whether to go with lighter or heavier curtain bangs/face-framing pieces, and she knew exactly what would suit me when she suggested sticking with lighter face framing. She also somehow managed to style my frizzy Indian hair perfectly without using much tension on the brush, which was shocking to me.
