Upon completion, I was surprised that my total didn't match what was given to me on the phone. The employee informed me of the upcharges made to my service. I was surprised as those were the services I requested on the phone when making my appointment. She said she thought I wanted something different and made no effort to make the issue right or apologize for the misunderstanding. Just got my nails done by Tee and I am absolutely in love!!! I live out in Murfreesboro and made the drive because I've been getting my nails done by her for a few years now and she's worth it! She's very personable and knows exactly how I like my nails. I currently have a burn scar on my thumb and she was able to work around it without me feeling any pain. It was my first time at polished and everyone is super welcoming and friendly. The salon overall is very clean and spacious. Lots of colors to choose from!! Today I got a dip mani with added length and decided to go all out and get pink and white ombré with the stiletto shape. I AM IN LOVE!!!! Today was my first time at Polished. I have been seeing Tee since last August at The Nail Bar in Green Hills and made the one hour trek to Polished because she is more than worth the drive. I had a wonderful experience at her new nail home! The salon was clean, welcoming, professional. My only complaint is that it's not closer to my home. Tee's mom gave me an amazing massage with my pedicure and it was refreshing to receive a service that did not feel rushed. I used to always cut my nails short but now my nails are totally natural (in length) with a dip powder over them all thanks to Tee's attention to detail. I call her the nail whisperer because my nails have never been in a better condition and I get so many compliments each time I get them done. It's appreciated because their work is impeccable. Very friendly as well, striking up conversation and making you feel like a friend. They also offer complimentary beverages. Love love love! I bought my sister a gift certificate for Christmas because I always see such AMAZING nail art on Facebook and she wanted me to come along. I got a pedicure which was top notch and watched as my sister got her nails did. They were adorable! She got little bows painted on them and he even stuck little rhinestones on her nails. Very cute. On one hand, I was half hour late. I was really sorry about that, it was completely my fault. On the other hand, my nails look lumpy, they are squared off, but one side is much sharper than the other on each nail, and when I pointed it out to the tech, he actually said that it was because it was my "dominant hand" so it "looked bigger." He *did* file the corner down, but then went and filed down the other corner even more, so one side is still more rounded than the other. The acrylic looks really lumpy and way too thick. Lastly, I started asking about art and embellishments, and was told that he was not that sort of nail tech, and did not offer any art or embellishments at all. I'm actually now going to try and find a place to fix the lumpy and thick nails. I'm really upset, because it seems that other people had good experiences at this place. Again, I know I was late, and again, I knew it was my fault, but I really would have rather rebooked than gotten the shoddy job that I ended up with. Update: I went to get my nails fixed at another place, and while the new person had to file them down quite a bit and round off the edges that were not blending in, I found the main reason for why they seemed so bulky and thick: my manicurist used gel on top. This was something I most definitely did not ask for, but am sure I paid for! I am now even more upset about the way I was treated, and will definitely never go back. And it's such a shame, because it seems like other people got nice treatment and were happy. read more

Went to Polished because I just moved to the area and want to find somewhere to go get my nails and toes done regularly. From the time I walked in the door until the moment that I left it was an unfortunate experience, I honestly wished I would have tried somewhere else. I went with my friend and we both wanted a pedicure and to just relax a little bit, we chose polished because it looked like a nice place. To start we weren't even asked what type of pedicure we would want (we were going to get the most expensive) and weren't offered a drink of water mimosa or anything that the website "states" that they offer you. For me it is all about the experience and this one lacked big time. The girl at the front desk was talking with the other nail techs and customers the whole time. when I was paying for my $35.00 pedicure (the most basic and super fast) I wasn't even asked how the service was! The girl at the front desk had to ask me who even did my nails and I wouldn't know because they didn't even introduce themselves. I brought up to the women at the front desk that I had a bad time, I didn't enjoy it. first she paused, shocked and didn't say anything. finally after awkward moments said that she was sorry, it was her fault and she was extremely busy (even tho we could clearly see she wasn't). Just wanted to warn everyone that goes to the salon to enjoy a day off and refresh yourself, steer clear from here. read more

The service was literally the rudest I've encountered. I was asked to wait at the front desk while the receptionist was on the phone. She proceeded to stay on the phone for 10 mins, hung up, WALKED AWAY from me and started a load of laundry, then answered the portable phone without once asking if how she could help me. I have been getting my nails done at Polished for a little over a year. I have tried a couple other salons in the Nashville area and Polished has been my favorite. Everyone is friendly, the salon is clean and same day appointments are almost always available for my dip polish. I am usually really awkward and mildly afraid in nail salons bc I never know what to do or say while getting my nails done, but Te and Thomas were utterly AMAZING! My brother and I called last minute to come in for mani/pedis and, even though we were going to keep them late, They said they would get us in. When we got there they were incredibly welcoming and fun to talk to! I always get dip with a manicure and I don't know what kind of magic she does but they can last up to three weeks before I need to get them done again.
