i came to this spa for the first time on the day before my wedding as a recommendation from one of the concierge folks at the hotel where i and my bridal party were staying. we had gotten our mani/pedis earlier in the day from a pretty no-frills salon that i had been to before, and they totally botched my mani. i was pretty upset about it (it was crunch time!), and the salon was understanding, and able to squeeze me in after i called in a minor panic. the care, and attention to detail shown to me that day was unparalleled. they were incredibly attentive, and understanding about how important this particular manicure was. not only that, but the manicure was gorgeous. i went back for a pedicure about a week later, and i am now hooked on this salon. as other reviews state, it is incredibly clean and sanitary. and though it is busy (the phone has rung multiple times when i've been there, and there are always other patrons around), it is still a very relaxing environment. the price point is on par with other salons in the area, and i think the value is way higher. they could easily afford to charge more (though i'm glad they don't!). i love this salon, and recommend you give it a try. read more

Recently went to the salon because my usual salon could not accommodate me. I do not think I will be returning. I splurged for the deluxe pedicure ($70!), which was nice and included different scrubs and wraps and lotions, however, the massage portion was less than five minutes. My dip manicure was very rushed with very minimal critical care. At the end, the texture on several of my nails was matte rather than shiny. I ended up having to return several days later for correction. Additionally, during a recent vacation, my nails looked two-toned when I was in the pool, which is something I have never had happened previously. read more

Kevin was the best at pedicures, but he left. Since then, I'd say it's pretty typical for a basic pedicure. If you're a germaphobe, don't come here. The massage chairs, armrests, and massage chair controls are not regularly cleaned. Even when I'm the first one there in the morning, those things still are quite dirty. A quick wipe down would greatly improve the appearance. read more

Since we moved to Hopkinton we have been looking for a nails salon for my wife in where quality service, attention to details, and excellent customer service could be found under the same roof and we finally found Zen Nails Salon. During our first visit my wife got a manicure full set from Nancy and it was an absolute great experience. From the product she used to the way she treated my wife with her conversation and paying attention to what she needed, we knew that we arrived at Zen to stay and also we knew who my wife's nails expert would become forever. Nancy's skills and personality makes the experience a very pleasant one...She is a true talented nails artist!!! Also, during our second visit I even adventured on having a pedicure from Susan and it was an amazing experience. I got the Sport Pedicure and the products that were used along with the massage made my feet and legs feel very refreshed and re-energized. My wife got her pedicure from Nancy as well and she did a great job with the Deluxe Pedicure package she got as well as with her manicure maintenance. We feel that we have found the right place to go for our hands and feet care and we are pretty sure that as Nancy and Susan there are other nails experts there that we know will make of your experience a very good one. First time back after new ownership switched over around 2021 - it's terrible!! I was there on Friday with a friend, I got regular pedicure and she did gel manicure and regular pedicure. My pedi started peeling that day -- my friend's pgels are completely peeling and curling. They should last weeks, not a day! I recommend going somewhere else, especially after the cost. I have been here a few times and have never been wowed but it is conveniently close to where I live. I was there 2 months ago and was treated rudely so I decided not to go back. Because I couldn't find a last min appointment anywhere else, I decided to get a gel mani here before a wedding. The nails barely lasted a week never mind the two weeks that they sell you on. When I went back to have them fixed, she didn't take the old gel nails off, but instead painted over them!! I had bumps in my nails where the original paint had chipped off. (Also assuming this would just spark more chipping later on) Another tech also noticed how crappy it looked and had her do them over which took another 25 min. I am very disappointed. This is my first bad review I have ever left but my experience was so bad. They used a top coat as my base coat which made it all peel within 1 day, the top coat they used was chunky and disgusting and didn't even cover my whole nail. I spent 22 dollars when I could have done my nails so much better. Someone was doing my nails and half way through they switched without saying anything. I came in for a gel manicure. Winnie and the rest of the staff were so inviting and kind. There was an issue with a manicure done at a previous nail salon who used the wrong base and instead used a bonding material that was not removable. My nails had been filed so thin by the last salon that they were painful to touch. Winnie was so gentle and took her time (it took 1.5 hours) making sure I was comfortable and pain free. She spoke with me about what would be best for my nail health and we made a plan for future appointments to let my nails grow out and get healthy again. Highly recommend this nail salon. They are knowledge about the service they provide and do everything they can to assure the health of your nails. Will be going back for sure. read more

This is my local go-to for pedis and gel manis. My nails usually look great and last a long time. One time recently, my gel mani started peeling within a couple days so I provided that feedback over their automatic text system. WAY overpriced. We moved here from Boston and I've never paid as much as I did for a dip manicure and pedicure in the city. My dip is way too thick, cut extremely short and rounded when I asked for square. I was excited to try this place as it is on my commute home from work and I was beyond disappointed. The place itself is very clean and has a great set up. I walked in asking for a gel manicure and they told me to pick my color. The woman gave me less than a minute and says "okay now", I was not even sure if I liked my color since she rushed me. Then she was so rough with me pushing on my fingers so hard and she did not wait long enough for my gels to soak off and scrapped so hard at my nails and dug up some of my actual nail, it really hurt. She finished my entire manicure in under 30 minutes, got the nail polish on my fingers and left one of my nails with a piece hanging off. After three days four of my nails were peeling off and chipping. Before she started painting I asked her if she had a particular color from the OPI Breakfast at Tiffanys line and she said "No, we don't carry that line". YES they did! I saw tons of the other colors. She was rude about it telling me what ever is on the wall is all they had when I could see at several stations multiple colors the employees did not put back. During the manicure she asked me where my old gels were from and I told her which salon and that I got a new job and that I was looking to start coming here more often as its closer to work. I figured maybe she would be nicer and do a better job to keep me as a regular. NOPE. She was unpleasant and did a terrible job. Absolutely the worst manicure I have ever had. read more

I really liked this place for about the first 6 times I came in. Great quality polish to choose from, clean and inviting atmosphere, etc. But....I had a bad pedicure here recently. Almost got a nasty cut on my big toe when the nail technician cut the nail. I jumped and screamed and she stopped in time to prevent injury. The price of the services are more expensive here than other places. In the future, I don't plan to drive out of my way to get a pedicure here. read more

I have gone to Zen three times. I want to like it because it's in my town and people rave about it on Yelp and facebook. Maybe fans of Zen have never gotten a good manicure and think Zen does quality work. Only once did my polish last. This past time was the worst. Got a manicure Friday night. By Saturday morning there was chipping. I hadn't done anything with my fingers (things like cooking, cleaning washing dishes were not done). It's now less than 48 hours later, and here is what much nails look like. I expect minimal chipping with proper nail care 36 hours later. First time visiting Zen Salon and I was very impressed! I was greeted when I walked thru the door by a pleasant young lady. She showed me the nail polish choices and recommended a few different colors. This nice gentleman also approached me to introduce himself and he also helped me pick a nail color (I get a little overwhelmed with the process). I didn't catch his name but he was gentle and knows how to polish nails! The salon was quiet and clean with soothing music playing in the background. I was very impressed with my polished piggies! Go some place else!!! I had a horrible experience. The owner of this establishment did my nails, gel manicure, and within 24-48 hrs, (2) of my nails peeled off. I asked for them to be fixed, scheduled an apt for that evening at 6 pm, and when I showed up, the nail salon was closed, even though their hours were to 7 pm that evening, not only a horrible experience for me, but very odd business habits. The young girl that everyone seemed to defer to was very dismissive and rude, didn't want to do touch up, wanted to do them completely over! For the money, of course. I will definitely be returning to Zen Nail Spa! Wonderful facilities that are clean and relaxing! The selection of nail colors is amazing and well organized so it is easy to find the color you want. They have one of the largest gel nail color selections I've found. Most importantly, my nails came out great. I am extremely detail oriented and picky, but they did a great job. Nails were filed evenly. When she cleaned up my cuticles it didn't hurt one bit and they were trimmed properly so that they didn't dry up and peel later (I HATE that!). All coats of paint were evenly applied so the color looked smooth when finished. Seriously, a great job. I don't think I will be going anywhere else from now on! read more

I'm always hesitant to try new nail places, and super particular about where I go, so as a new resident, hard to find something, but glad I came here! It's brand new (~2 wks I think?), super clean and organized. They're obviously still trying very hard (during the whole service was offered beverages, magazines, making sure I was comfortable) and the owner mentioned they had other salons in the family/neighborhood, but when I yelped the other ones they didn't have good reviews, so I hope the service doesn't change here! I got a gel mani and regular pedi was $60 and I got a 10% discount (maybe new customer or holiday offer)? , so great deal and they had updated polishes (OPI and Zoya). I've been going here since they opened after a couple of bad experiences in town and have been really happy with the service. I go several times a year and think I have probably had everyone at this point and the work is consistent. One of the reasons why I like this salon so much is because it's not loud and doesn't smell horrible. I have sensory issues and salons are a real challenge. They're always able to take me right away, don't rush me and the workers are pleasant and honest.
