I must say I was pleasantly surprised...even though I had to wait longer than anticipated. But I was on holiday in my hometown so why not just wait. They actually had a "hostess" of sorts who was actually hosting and greeting customers, taking names, etc. -- instead of walking in and everybody is looking at you like "what?"...They accept walk-ins and take appointments. It's not overcrowded with chairs. It seems to have the potential to get crowded and tight but it was clean and didn't have that "rushed" feeling. When I did get to my manicure, the technician was engaging but not too chatty. She seemed to like her job and wanted to give excellent service. I was getting a gel manicure redone and if you've ever had that done, you know what havoc it causes on your nails if not done properly. The Polished Salon's method was to melt the gel away before attempting to remove the polish instead of constant scraping. And their price was decent. $30 to remove and redo a gel manicure - after a week and a half it still looks good! I'll be going back whenever I'm in town... read more

Came here with my 5 year old and they tried to put us in separate rooms for manicures. Why would I want to go get my nails done with my daughter, but not see her?? They even have a kids manicure on their menu, so I assumed they catered to the mom/daughter thing. Staff was unprofessional. I won't be back. read more

Another great pedicure! Went to Nay this time, she was really detailed and gentle. This place is very clean and hygienic (I do wish they would use plastic covers in the tubs though). It amazingly has no nail polish smell when you walk in, but has cute, simple decor. For the price, you can't beat this little place. I'll never go anywhere else in the area! read more

I love this place! It's very nice, clean, and the people are very friendly. I only have one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars, and that is the loudness of the workers. I don't think they realize that there are clients in the room when they speak in their language, it is always very loud, and it sounds like sometimes they're screaming. Unfortunately I use to enjoy going to this nail salon but lately my opinions have changed. To make a visit online you have to give a credit card, which is annoying. This is a nail salon, not a doctors office. I was not able to cancel my appointment online. When I was accidentally booked for two pedicures they said they couldn't do anything about it and offered me no help in a solution and they weren't even busy. They were willing to lose business rather than reschedule me for a manicure and pedicure. Their head is too big for their business. read more

DEFINITELY not for me! My intent wasn't to write this "book" of a review but after thinking about things I really wanted to share my 1st experience... no matter how disappointing! :((( 1. Very tight quarters! I felt claustrophobic as soon as I walked in!!! Horribly uncomfortable "waiting area" & w/ the amount of people they service, an even worse place to hang your coat! Seriously??? A single metal coat rack? It was about to fall over! They need a more sturdy place to hang coats! It's winter...= heavy coats & LOTS of them! They've really jammed a pricey salon into a very small space...totally baffled as to why there's so much hype about this place! The room was just about full when I got there! I wonder if a fire Marshall has seen the inside of this establishment during peak hours...or any day/time for that matter?!? 2. Though my appointment was @ 5pm & they closed @ 6:30 I felt very rushed. Not a relaxing 1st time experience esp the Friday right before New Years! I arrived @ 5:02 but they didn't take me until about 5:20. I'm mentioning this specifically because when I made the appointment they could not take me @ 5:30 so I had to choose the 5 pm slot. I rushed to get there & felt badly about being a few min late! Then they didn't actually start my nails until 15-20 min later. My technician was extremely nice (best part of my appointment & why there's 1 star) but since she carpooled w/ another coworker (& she was done for the day) she began to treat & prep my nails (gel) for my technician. I did not feel like I could truly relax & enjoy the massage chair since my feet & hands were being worked on @ the same time. It was too much! 3. I had a very hard time finding a color I liked...LOTS of OPI reds/pinks by the front door (bottles)....I like greys! When my nail technician offered me a color I actually liked she got it from a room in the back (past the sink) & then told me it would be an additional $3. What??? I guess by my expression she decided to waive that fee. Shouldn't all the colors you offer be out for your clients to see/choose from? In bottle form not on fake nails where the colors look different anyway? What's up w/ the additional pricing on colors? I thought this was extremely strange & it started to feel a little like price gouging...$3 more for an already $55 pedi/mani? I could see if it was a spectacular experience in a well laid out salon that offered you something to drink & was overly accommodating/relaxing but this felt more like an assembly line! I mean the guy @ the front desk just pointed to the room & said you can go over there. Over where? Get up off your ass & treat me like the paying customer that I am! Walk me over & show me which chair is mine! Maybe tell me who my technician will be? Don't be such a robot! You are the first person a customer sees when they walk in! Everyone else is running around & you are planted on a stool. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! At least look like you are working & help these ladies out! I mean even my technician had to run my cc! 4. I was the last customer left in the salon when I was done & still needed to dry my toes under the dryer for a bit. My technician assured me that they were dry so I left. Sure enough my big toe was already smeared & when I took a closer look @ my manicure my left thumb nail wasn't fully dry/set (gel) & had smeared as well. As the days progressed (2 days later) the polish on my fingers had started chipping off too. I was going to call but did not want to get my technician in trouble so I headed to my regular salon to have them redone! 5. Last but not least...Whatever happened to seeing my technicians tools being taken out of the sanitary packaging? It's a great relief to me when I'm getting a pedi/mani that things are clean too. How about a hot towel treatment @ the end of both the pedi & mani? Love this but it doesn't seem to be something Polished offers! *I REALLY hope "Polished" reads these reviews because there's a few other nail salons w/in walking distance of their shop that are cheaper & offer more (& w/o hidden prices), have better parking, fantastic customer service & amazing color choices! They pamper you & make you feel special! Maybe you should check them out & learn a thing or two! read more

I had a pedicure at Polished last week. Clinician was not pleasant. Kind of rough with the instruments. She apparently cut my cuticle and it was bleeding. She never said anything like 'sorry' but put this blue liquid on it and it stung like heck. I now have a scab on my cuticle. She did not use a pumice stone on the my calluses nor the more powerful machine. When I was there last time, both were used. She seemed to be in a rush. I will go back but not to her. read more

Seemed great. Got a gel manicure and a express pedi on saturday, overall happy. The very next day my gel manicure started to chip, when they are supposed to last 2 weeks but i was going to let it go but rhen two days another nail started to peel and is now about to fall off. . When i called to express my concern i was spoken to in an extremely rude was and was not given any solution for my nails and basically rushed off the phone. Needless to say i will never return. Shellac manicure peeling off after 48 hours. Stylist knew she did a bad job and tried to redo. Cut corners. what a waste of money.
