I stopped by to see what vehicles were in stock. When I started looking, a saleswoman came over and started talking to me. I told her that I did not want any assistance at the moment. She did not take the hint and instead started telling me about the special financing at the moment. After I told her that I did not need financing, she still did not get the hint and kept talking. For me, that is the quickest way to lose my business, and I will not be returning to Pollard Ford to purchase a vehicle. Friendly is an overstatement. read more

Unsafe work environment. This dealer fails to maintain shop equipment in the service center that can ultimately lead to tragedy. A technician was fired after he stood up to management for failure of a lift while a vehicle was on it. No actions were taken for years of the equipment needing maintenance and thus led to the failure of the lift. If you want your vehicles serviced PROPERLY by a certified technician and not get damaged any further, I suggest finding somewhere else. read more

First let me just say this is the 3rd car we have purchased from Pollard and they have taken care of us every time!! This time our previous salesman was no longer there and by the time I got out of the car a nice young man with a great smile walked up and greeted me. I had been looking around at different lots all day and I was tired. His name is Obi (pronounced O Bee just like it Obi Wan Kenobi :-) If you need a car you need a salesman and Obi is awesome!! I told him what I wanted and since it was the end of the day I told him to get me a selection together and I would be back in the morning. He called me the next morning to tell me he had them lined up and ready for me. The first one I drove was a Mitsubishi Endeavor and I loved it. It took the better part of the day to finalize the deal but needless to say I drove home with my new (to me) Mitsubishi and I could not be happier! I also get the pleasure to say I was his first sale!!!!!! Way to go Obi! You did a fantastic job and I will recommend you to everyone who needs a car and even some who just might need one in the future. What can I say? Their Service Department sucks. I went in told the service guy exactly what needed to be repaired, but in order to get money out of me (still under warranty) they said they had to run a Diagnostic which cost me $69. They said it was my battery, I said NO its not the battery, I'd already told them it was the TCM. After 3 weeks of back and forth and me with no working vehicle, I finally got them to fix the TCM. A week after the repair I received a recall letter to update the TCM. Of course I was furious and asked for my money back, but they refused. What a horrible experience. I think they need to find more qualified employees. read more

Called to check if they still had a used vehicle on their lot and was told they did. So I drove 30 miles and when I get there I am told it sold the day before, but they have another type of vehicle for the same price. I ended up buying it and on the way home it started acting up. I had to take it back to them to fix and was out of a vehicle for a couple of days. It was not fixed and kept leaving me stranded and paying to have it towed and repaired for 4 months. Also, a couple of days later I noticed the brakes were completely gone and other things that should have not passed inspection when I bought it. This means they just put a sticker on it and never looked over the vehicle before selling it. The salesperson said I could bring it in and they would trade me out of it. Perfect, I went a couple of times to look at trucks, and they only had over priced abused trucks to trade me. I then was told they would only give me trade in value and would sell me another truck at regular price. This means I just lost money on a truck that should have never been sold in the first place. I tried to negotiate with them on another truck and they would not go down on the price at all, which was already more than NADA clean retail price and the truck had a couple of thousand dollars worth of body damage on it. I will never go back to them for another vehicle since they have horrible service and do not care about their customers. read more

I'm 58 and have purchased more cars than I care to count through the years. We purchased from Pollard about two weeks ago. Everything on the front end of the deal was great and they promptly took our wired in funds (we were doing it from a distance) and delivered the car to Vail CO. All was good. Then the reality of the terrible job the business manager there does, set in. Part of the deal involved equity dollars back. Two weeks later and still no funds. Hard to get business mgr to answer the phone or respond to email. I did get the owner and he said he would call me back and failed to do so. Our mistake was to take delivery of the car without the check at the same time. We trusted they were of higher integrity. I would recommend another dealer. Usually dealers are better because the hope for return business. That's not happening with us. I have never remotely had such an unsatisfactory car buying experience. read more

I live in Oklahoma and contacted Pollard while at another dealership all the way in the Houston Area. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jody and he was very quick to provide information I requested including pictures of a comparable vehicle that he texted directly to me. Time was a factor as I was looking at another vehicle at that very moment. Jody was professional, kind, and willing to help in any way he could. Even though I was hundreds of miles away he took care of my questions as if I was right there. He followed up in the days after to see if I was still interested and even offered to drive the car to me in Oklahoma if that would be easier. I didn't end up purchasing the vehicle as I found another, but would still recommend this dealership based on my experience with Jody. read more

Let me begin by saying that I am a very loyal ford customer and loyal to pollard ford in Lubbock Texas and let me end by saying, that is no longer the case. I purchased a new 2017 f-250 a year and half ago and have had nothing but hell with this vehicle. My story starts at 8000 miles with the air conditioner quitting on me resulting in an entire replacement of the ac system from lines to compressor, surprisingly enough, the knob to turn the thing on and off was ok, which is the only thing that worked. Then at 18000 miles the vehicle would not start, well, it would eventually start but after 7 seconds of spinning and choking and sputtering. Count that out, 7 seconds is an eternity for a starter to spin. I complained to my big giant volume dealer and basically was blown off, wait, I was straight up blown off by the entire staff and more over the service manager. I brought this vehicle in 6 times and left it for days or weeks at a time. They of course found nothing wrong. The pickup was still under warranty and they refused to find anything wrong. They wouldn't use trial and error or good mechanic judgement. Just told me they had to have an engine light to service it. Aren't these guys car guys?? Oh no they aren't because if the little orange light that is the check engine light doesn't come on these guys have no idea in hell what it could be. No common sense no understanding, no clue. And this saga continues to this day this hour this second. I am a farmer and have had issues with tractors and such and John Deere guys not only break their backs to help you if something does go wrong it is fixed or the problem found in hours to possibly a day or two. Now we are 25,000 miles young and my doors will not lock and back door will not open because it is the only one that does lock!!!!! And now they are saying this is my fault and that I am liable for this mess. Now that the warranty is up, they are wanting to fix it all at my expense. Even though I've been reporting problems since day 1. Short list of my repairs on this pickup are: no hub cap on day 1 and I had to buy 4 out of pocket for a brand new pickup, total replacement of air conditioner after taking it in multiple times when it would not cool and begging them to work on it, door checks squeaking, door lock fuse blowing one after the other at $18 apiece, body control module, and the constant issue with the pickup not starting correctly. My advice to you the consumer: STAY AWAY FROM ANY FORD VEHICLE and STAY AWAY FROM POLLARD FORD IN LUBBOCK TEXAS. I was a loyal customer and was treated as an idiot. I know my next vehicle will be made at GM. read more
