I don't know how this place doesn't have more reviews. This place is a solid 4 for food minimum. The price is pretty good also. The staff is nice. Glad this place is around. I've had the Jalea mmmmm. Mariscos saltado that they make specially for me!! Tallarin Verde and lomo saltado and even the causa. The Mariscos saltado secured this place the 5 stars. About $16.50. Enjoy trust the food for the past 1.5 years has been good. I've been here minimum 15 times. Way home afternoon night time. They've never dissapointed. They get busy too. Guess those people don't review. Check the pics

Located in a strip mall the place may be small in square footage but big on ambiance. We arrived about 6pm and were lucky enough to score a two seat table. It was almost filled to capacity with lots of diners enjoying their meals. With great Latin music playing and laid back vibe, I was looking forward to a great meal. John our server was polite and efficient. We started off with traditional Peruvian golden lager, Cusquena. Crisp and delicious! Two ceviche appetizers and two steak entrees. We're ceviche lovers and throughly enjoyed those dishes. The Honey enjoyed his Lomo Saltado. The traditional Peruvian stir fry dish. Strips of beef sirloin, red peppers, onions and tomatoes. Served with French fries and white rice. My Tacu Tacu Steak with rice and beans was a hit, and miss. The steak was tough and the rice and beans, really "starchy". It's hard to explain they tasted heavy and sticky. The portions are generous so I had leftovers for home. Surprisingly, the dish tasted better the next day. The menu highlights their Happy Hour and Wine Down Wednesdays. We're looking forward to returning for one or both :) of those! For some warm vibes, good service and fresh food this place is worth a visit. Thank me later.....

It tastes and looks like Caribbean Sorrel, which is made from the petals of a Hibiscus plant. I usually have Chicha "to go". Today, the first day of a 15-day Peruvian Restaurant Week, I sat down and ate. There are two rooms in the back. The first room has three tables, each of which has four chairs. The second room has four tables. All seven tables were at least six feet apart in order to enforce COVID-19 guidelines. However, there were no temperature checks or contract tracing like I have seen in many other restaurants. For starters, I had a beef empanada. It was just ok because the crust was too thick and the meat was lukewarm. I prefer piping hot, thin-crusted empanadas, straight out of the oven. For the main course, I had the lamb chops with yucca, orange pepper and raw red onions, which was one of the behind-the-counter specials of the day. The lamb was overdone because I like mine medium-rare. My total meal came out to $17 including tax. This restaurant has a namesake FaceBook page that diners should check out before coming, so they can view the daily specials. Street parking is available, and there is a small lot in the back. The four stars is because the deli's interior design needs a makeover. It appears as if the last time this place was renovated was many years ago.

The menu clearly states that prices do not include tax, which is perfectly fine. My issue is not…read morewith paying tax, it's with how I was charged. The owner, who was working the register, charged me more than the menu prices plus tax. It appeared that she rounded up the total and added extra charges that didn't match the posted prices. When I asked the employees about the pricing, every one of them said they didn't know because only the owner handles the pricing. I asked for an itemized receipt because the total didn't seem right. Once the receipt was handwritten by her, it showed I had been overcharged, and the owner immediately had to issue me a refund. What was most frustrating was how casually the situation was handled, as if overcharging a customer was no big deal. If your costs have increased, update your menu prices. Don't charge one price on the menu and something different at the register, she claims she's charging you tax but she's rounding up amounts to the nearest dollar and even more on some items like the rotisserie chicken. She's stealing from her customers and then became upset and raised her tone of voice when she got caught. She's also not nice to the employees, you can tell they are afraid of her. My advice to anyone eating here: always ask for an itemized receipt and check your bill before you pay. Don't assume the total is correct just because the owner is ringing you up. There were also flies on the food served at the buffet so we asked for take out. The food was good but she ruined everything for us because she's very rude and unprofessional.

I was pleasantly surprised with how affordable this food is! Lots of tapas available and decent sizes. I would even say even al the tapas are a tad bigger than other tapas places. They also have a variety of empanadas ham and cheese, chorizo, beef...etc. Make sure to pair it with a pineapple mojito. YUM! Great service. Very clean and we even had a chance to meet the chef.

The food is well presented (usually brought to your table by Raul, the chef/owner), delicious, very reasonable and eclectic. The arepas are amazing, the paella is good, as is the ceviche, tacos, stews and more. Unfortunately the place is struggling admits Raul, who bought the restaurant from the former owner. Raul is Ecuadorian and now his server is Alvaro, a polite, very personable fellow who just turned 21 the night I ate there. I was there for dinner with friends the previous Friday and went back for Thursday, all evening, tapas happy hour which was extensive and excellent; but don't just go for the inexpensive tapas which (will set you back a whole $20), go for a great date night any time, the menu is amazing. You will be happy you went! Please go, I selfishly want them to thrive but as they deserve to. Like them on instagram and you will get a free shot of tequila. On top of that, when the food arrived, they got our order wrong. My sister and I both asked for a chicken wing, but they gave my sister a chicken breast. Without knowing, my sister took a singular bite. After she realized, we called the waiter over to replace it. However, the waiter said she could not, which did not make sense because it wasn't our fault and she only took one bite. Even worse, she found a hair in her food. But the cherry on top was that there was no sound on the tv that the world cup was on. It sucks because the food was really good. Safe to say we aren't coming back anytime soon.
