First of all i just wanna say.. this place is amazing! You shouldn't judge a place off not giving you discounts! Every time, every day I've been here they are on point with the food! The service is great! The food comes out fast and it's always delicious. It's a goto spot for me! It's always packed too so you know it's good.

This is nasty food

I walking to this restaurant. The customers is really nice but food smell like a toilet inside. And taste not acceptable. I walked all the way to the library and gross. The taco is also horrible. The chicken is normal. And I paid the $8 on the meal I going to thrown up, vomiting. Save the money don't go there ever again. I will never coming back ever for infinity lives!!!! And 0 star was too plethora. For I will destroy the building destroyed

Nice place overall. The plate that I had was very average. If you're hungry this is an ok place to stop at. They should definitely invest in a liquor license, that is holding this place back for sure. You know how many more tacos intoxicated ppl eat.... ijs.

Pollo asado

Ordered the number one, a whole pollo asado. Cost $13. I assumed this came with sides, but my assumption was incorrect. Rice and beans are extra for the number one. The chicken was solid, but nothing to write home about. It definitely could have been more flavorful. The accompanying tortillas were definitely of the H-E-B variety, but the salsas were great! It would probably be beneficial if you spoke Spanish when ordering here, as the staff that I dealt with did not even attempt to speak to me in English at all....But, as always, your mileage may vary. I could see going back here on occasion, because it is so close to where I work although I would really prefer to find another place that makes more flavorful meat... and maybe homemade tortillas to go with.

Terrible customer service! Receptionist very rude. The menu doesn't make any sense. The food should be served with more chicken than bones

What's the point of giving the 20% discount if the owner won't honor it. ? Smh false advertising.

My family likes their tacos, pricing is reasonable I just wish they had more options. Beans can be plain sometimes.

I asked about their Monday BOGO special for cachapas, she lays her head down and starts waving her finger up and down. I asked her if she could speak up (because the TV was blaring) she continued to mumble. I asked her if she was ok, she said yes but she's sleepy. Apparently too sleepy to provide a modicum of customer service. I was really looking for to trying their food since I've passed them so many times before. Needless to say I'm not paying for bad service at the onset... The place was empty. I can't help but to think it's because they are sleeping on their customers. I see your response, which is exactly why I didn't bother to ask for a manager. This can't be the first time someone has received bad service like this because the young lady was too comfortable with her behavior. You'd do better to speak with your staff to not give zero star service. Thanks but no thanks.

The sangria was NOT worth the wait. I expected better from this place. It was also my friend's first ever visit and I had raved about my previous visit. I am not raving about the place now. Friend ordered lobster bisque. Much later we were told they ran out. Told in a manner of "oh well" and a shrug by our disinterested server. I found our female server surly, unhelpful, and appeared like she had no interest whatsoever in doing her job as patrons were disturbing her day. She should have stayed home. Once my friend decided what she wanted to order, this server had the audacity to tell her what salad she was going to get. Not suggest. Tell! My friend did not want salad as the menu said there was the option was soup OR salad and she wanted and ordered the corn chowder, you know, since "they ran out of the lobster bisque." Our server apparently left. Took us a while to notice due to the lack of service which was all hurry up and wait. (The place was not crowded at all). Took forever to get our check. We never saw our server again. Another male server came by. We told him, twice, to split the check. Which he did not. As a reward for making the request, he brought over the incorrect check. I mean you cannot make this total experience up. The food was good The lack of quality service ruined the experience, negated the food's taste, and the surly server did not earn the tip I gave her. It was my friend's first time there and we were made to feel extremely unwelcome.

Authentic Dominican/Caribbean food in Willowbrook. Who knew?…read more I remember this place from a birthday party decades ago. The space was a bit bigger (they've since redesigned it smaller), but the crowds were smaller. Success hasn't tarnished their food. It was a very rainy and soggy afternoons and the place was packed. We managed a table and ordered. Can't go wrong with the delicious shrimp mofongo. I honestly think the sauce is the icing on that cake, made all the more delicious with a squeeze of lemon. Whew! Service was fast and dinner came out at a reasonable pace. The owner is so friendly and stopped by our table to make sure things were good. Better than good! If you're in the Willowbrook area do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner. Prices are a little steep, but what's isn't these days?

I ordered the pollo guisado and moro, both were good and we have a little left over. My partner ordered the pica pollo and the fried chicken was decent. The food does take some time, and servers did not check in too often so I would recommend ordering ahead of time (unless you have a long lunch break), There are plenty of tables, but it is a little dark inside, 2 bathrooms inside. The juice was on the sweet side so just watered it down (wish they have smoothies), but they get 5 stars overall for the flavor and the price point. Plenty of parking as it's in located along other stores.

The interior and decor is like Tex-Mex style, with fancy light fixtures. Their food arrives fresh and hot from the kitchen. The staff are kind and patient. Yes, Shuko's has a little bar inside and there's a Happy Hour special (I don't drink). There's a kids' menu too and they also serve breakfast. Their Shuko's (sandwiches) are a traditional and most iconic street food from Guatemala. These sandwiches are a must-try! Minor downside, refills on beverage (except water) costs extra. I'd love to come here again.

Still, the name Shuko had me curious, it's one of Guatemala's most iconic street foods, so I had to try it. For those who don't know, a traditional Guatemalan shuko is street food done right: grilled bun, steamed hot dog, Guatemalan-style guacamole (no onions or tomatoes), sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup, and mayo. Their take here is a bit different no guac on mine, but still packed with flavor. A mix of grilled meats, sauerkraut, and condiments all stuffed into a roll. Definitely not traditional, but still tasty. I also tried one of their pupusas, and it hit the spot. A classic revuelta melted cheese and chicharrón oozing out of a perfectly griddled corn masa pocket. Comfort food, plain and simple. Only downside The fries. They were undercooked, a little limp. Just needed a bit more time in the fryer. But overall, if you're into street food with a Central American twist, Shuko 502 is worth the stop.
