First time at Pollo Campero -- and I get the hype! The drive-thru was packed and the parking lot was full, so I parked across the street and walked in. The line moved quickly, and I ordered an 8-piece family meal with 2 sides, 2 dinner rolls, 2 tortilla's and a drink for $31.89 + 1 Regular drink $3.10 + tax $3.11 totaled $38.10 -- honestly, excellent value for under $40. Only downside: they only had legs and thighs available. Luckily, those are my favorite pieces, so no complaints here (KFC would never... LOL). I tried both the fried and baked chicken -- both were seasoned really well and very tasty. The yuca fries were a fun change from regular fries, and I enjoyed them. For my drink, I tried the "Jamaica" flavor which I think is similar to sorrel. It wasn't very sweet -- more on the tart side -- but refreshing. I tried the Horchata and Mango drinks, but Jamaica was my favorite. Overall, a good first experience. Delicious food, good value, and I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

I visited on the 2nd day of opening - and for it to be crowded I found the flow of people and waiting time not bad - the drive through line was crazy !! So I opted to go inside - it was much better - 2 cashiers who kept the line moving - the mango drink ran out When I mentioned it they said they would have more made but it may be a while so I missed out on that - coupons had been sent to me prior to opening so I ended up pay $16 for a 4 piece meal with 3 sides and a tortilla the roasted chicken is really good - I wasn't a fan of the fried chicken - I'll be back to give it another try when the crowds lessen - read more

If disappointment had a flavor, it would be Pollo Campanero. Ordered 8 pieces half fried / half roasted, but apparently "reading the order" is optional because I got ALL fried. And not good fried either--dry, salty, and sad. The empanada tasted like it had been waiting three days for someone to eat it, the yuca fries could double as chalk sticks, and the chicken burger... let's just say it looked like it gave up on life halfway through being made. So I love Pollo Campero and I was really happy when I saw a location opened up in my area. I ordered some food for delivery and that's where my happiness ended. Instead of my food taking the 30 minutes, promised to get to me, it took an hour and a half. It also arrived cold. So on top of the late delivery, I also had to heat my food up before I could eat it. This really is a good franchise. I hope they work all the kinks out with the delivery service soon. I will try again at a later date and update my review if the service has improved. read more

When I heard about a new chicken place To get my chicken sandwiches after work. I was excited. But the past 3 visits have been really bad. Aside from the drinks being extra sweet (almost 58 gms - like 14 tspns) the service couldn't be any worse. First time when I ordered through drive through the person taking my order asked if I wanted pickles. I said yes. And surprise no pickles in my sandwich. Second time around same. And I checked and asked for it. At the window, she gave me in the side. Today was the third and last time - I had to repeat it louder 'yes to pickles' three times and the girl said 'what?' Such inept workforce. Corporate should have secret shoppers come and see how the staff behaves so childish. The lower bread was also stuck to the box - like I couldn't take it off. Dear Amityville Pollo Campero Management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the order I placed on Sunday,[2-11-2025 time 1:50-2:12 pm ]. Black jeep wrangler ( just to make it clear if you want to run the cameras back ? ) The order included a 4‑piece chicken meal, 2 empanadas, a spicy chicken sandwich, and a drink. When I got home I discovered the 4‑piece chicken was missing and the sandwich had no chicken in the bun. This is the third time I've experienced a problem with my order--similar issues occurred on [2 weeks before ]. Because of this, my family and I were unable to enjoy the meal, and I felt embarrassed. I would appreciate: 1. A replacement of the missing 4‑piece chicken and a not correctly prepared spicy chicken sandwich (or a full refund for those items). Which I got it .! The sandwich was not correct after all I didn't able to go back , so I say I reach out. 2. Reimbursement for the traveling back to the restaurant to pick up ? The service was really bad, the company needs to properly train the employees that's dealing with the orders packing, I surely know, there's others customers that had the same issues I had too , Then after I return & complained , there think I was lying , but there give me back the stuff except the sandwich, I give them the whole bags back to see what they did . And there give the bag back and say sorry. After the guy give me 4 coupons value at $5 each for my next order. That's not the issue, the issue is the service.
