It has been awhile since I came here and lets just say everything was outstanding! A Pisco Sour is a must! The food was so delicious and flavorful that I had no complaint! My family and I were very happy customers with not only what we ate and drank but with the entertainment, the restaurant had. The ambiance were very chill and sophisticated, which I should have taken more pictures. Well, definitely for next time! See you guys soon!

We went on a SaturdayI haven't been there in a couple of years and what an upgrade! Ambiance was beautiful, live music, excellent service and lastly the food was delicious! Cocktails even better I got the Lomo Saltado cooked to perfection!! For drinks I got a mango margarita, it wasn't lacking in tequila! So good! My Sister got the coconut margarita she loved it! Scored a 10

My family has been coming here for YEARS. Definitely at least a decade at this point. Coming from a family with Asian tastes, it's crazy how comfortable we feel having Peruvian food. I will start by saying the vibes here have always been immaculate. The live music, karaoke, and audience participating dancing is so warm and fun. I'm happily returning just for these good vibes. Ambiance 5/5. THAT BEING SAID. The great vibes kind of distracts the servers sometimes. It could take a little more effort to get some attention. Service 3/5 The food here is still delicious, but definitely has taken a bit of a hit on quantity (honestly still pretty generous) and quality (some items a bit overcooked sometimes. Food was a 5/5, maybe a 3.5/5 now. Overall, while things have changed over the years, this restaurant is still a staple, and a great place for families. I'm sure my family with continue to return!

This was my first time eating at a Peruvian restaurant. I went on a Monday night and the restaurant was empty but there were a few customers! The service was amazing, all staff were very kind and attentive checking on us all night. The restaurant is very spacious, and since we went at night it was very dark with red lights. The music was great singing along and watching as they had a projector playing the music video on the wall. It was a very chill ambience! Now onto the good stuff, the food! It was very delicious and well seasoned. From the appetizers all the way to the desserts. As this was my first time, the app & entree menu does have translation in English. I ordered the Lomo Saltado which is a traditional typical dish for Peru. It had white rice, skirt steak with peppers, tomato & onions, and French fries. Drinks were strong and delicious, I ordered the margarita which was fabulous. The dessert was the only challenging part as I didn't recognize a few of the names but I went with what I knew. Overall the place was great! Defiantly would recommend

The food was excellent, the service great, nice and clean location, the only problem I have is that they put an 18% tip on the bill, most restaurants that do this do it for parties larger then five people, it was only two of us and I didn't appreciate that, I usually give 20%, but once you add the tip, you get what you get

Its very good. They have many option ranging from seafood to chicken to meats. I got the Lomo Candela which was amazing. It was steak strips with shrimp over french fries and rice. The portion size is perfect , for me it was a bit to much but regardless I will be eating it at home later. The Calamaris are good, the breading is bland which was a bummer they tasted like nothing really. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean and nice. Definitely coming here again as my peruvian spot

    Jalea

Went here last night with a girlfriend for delicious drinks and dinner. Located in a strip mall of other restaurants and small stores in Hicksville. The restaurant is nicely decorated with calming lights and comfy booths and tables set up for all different size parties. The service was quick. The staff was extremely friendly. At the time we arrived the restaurant was fairly quiet but filled up quickly with people wanting to have a delicious dinner. The jalea was delicious. More than enough to share, a seafood dish with lightly breaded and fried shrimp, calamari, clams, fish and Yuka fries topped with shredded red onion. We shared a pitcher of Rose' sangria, which snuck up on me later. The tostones were perfectly fried and deliciously crispy served with a side of a little spicy sauce. Enough food to bring home. The music playing in the background was perfect, not too loud. Will definitely go again.

This was a Friday night I brought my friend here for her birthday, they had music playing by DJ, it felt like i was eating in a lounge. I noticed that they do outdoor seating with heaters. The food was delicious and the service was great

This restaurant serves great Peruvian food. The grilled appetizer platter with beef tripe was just divine. My only complaint is that the lomo candela I ordered was way too salty and almost indelible. Both passion fruit and regular piscos were excellent. For dessert, the Lucuma tiramisu was nice, but I ordered the lucuma mousse and was served this instead. Would love to come back to have more piscos and try other dishes.

I wanted to bring my parents some food, but not "fast food". We love Peruvian as it's the closest comfort food we've ever had that is just like home cooking and I know my parents would love it. I found this restaurant online, and the reviews were promising. I ordered on their website and set the pick up time. The payment went through on my end because I received a notification immediately upon paying. When we arrived to the restaurant, I was unsure where to enter. I accidentally entered the dine in restaurant section. They seem to have multiple spaces; a nicer restaurant with dim lighting, neon lights and a lively ambience, a more casual dining area that was empty this particular night, and then a bar section for drinks and takeout. One of the employees walked me over to the pick up area near the bar, and I let them know I placed my order. The woman looks confused and fetched the owner/manager. They claimed my payment never went through. I told them that 100% it did go through as I received a message saying such. They asked for proof of payment. I showed them my online bank account, showing the payment pending. The transaction was made through *their* specific payment set up on the restaurant's website. At this point I began to get irritated. I asked them if my food was ready because I ordered ahead for the main purpose of having the food ready by the time I arrived. They seem to still believe that maybe the payment did not go through and reluctantly began preparing my order. They could definitely sense that I was getting upset and my patients was running thin. They also obviously did not have my food ready so I ended up having to wait longer than anticipated. I had my husband come in with our kid, ordered some shots and a couple drinks. They were nice enough to comp us a couple drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Their natural juices do taste very good. I tried their passion fruit. I got my parents a rotisserie chicken and chaufa. I also tried both and they were great. I ordered myself a tamale but left it out all night and had to throw it away. I'm still pissed about that. They get 3 stars because the food and drinks were good, and they made up for their mistake, but I'm still a bit annoyed at their janky payment system. They're conveniently close to my parents' house so I'll probably try them again but maybe stop by in person and order take out while enjoying a drink at the bar.

There was a classy and welcoming feel to the place. Upon being seated, there were complimentary corn nuts with a savory green sauce. These were tasty and addicting, with a satisfying crunch. For my drink, I wanted to try the Purple Corn beverage. The waiter brought me Purple Corn and Passionfruit juices, recommending that I mix them together. I sampled them separately at first, and loved the taste of both. The Purple Corn was delicate and sweet, while the Passionfruit was citrusy and refreshing. I wasn't sure I would them as much together, but it turned out to be a delightful blend. I ordered the Steak with Sausage, along with sides of Tostones, Salad, Rice, and Moro. The Steak had lovely grill marks, was wonderfully tender and well seasoned. The Sausage was juicy and also bursting with flavor. Tostones were perfectly crispy, thin, and oh so flavorful. Some of the best I have tasted! Salad was a nice and colorful mix of corn, purple onion, tomatoes, avocados, bringing a fresh element to the dish. White rice was fluffy and cooked well. The Moro I did not care for, because I found it to be bland. Service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I enjoyed my meal here and would return if in the area to try one of the Seafood dishes.

If you're just normally hungry, skip it because the entrées are more than enough. I had the steak with mushrooms and onions. The steak itself was cooked well, but I would've loved more mushrooms, and personally I think it would pair much better with rice and beans instead of French fries. The chicken options also felt a little limited compared to the long list of steak dishes. The appetizers could use some love too. Three empanadas on a plate and calling it an appetizer felt a little... phoned in. Give us a little flair! Service was a bit confusing because it seemed like everyone was helping every table, so we never really knew who our actual server was. We asked for the check because we had a show to get to, got an "okay," and then watched our server head over to another table first. Cue everyone checking their watches. The drinks were tasty, but I'm still on the fence about whether they were freshly made or not. Overall? It was a decent experience. The portions are generous, the steaks are the star of the menu, and there's definitely potential here. Would I rush back? Maybe not. Would I tell you not to go? Also no. This is one of those places where you'll have to grab a fork and decide for yourself.
