If they happen to make your order correctly the food can be good at times. This place has potential but you never know what you will get. They now make sandwiches and i happen to love original Cuban sandwiches. Some days I get what I ordered, other days the pickles maybe missing and on several occasions i have received pork only. Like I said it's hit or miss. The week of 6/21/2021 I received my Cuban sandwich with no pickles and the fries were little slices of what was mostly skins with very little potato. Maurice at the cashier has the absolute Worst customEr service. He yelled at an elderly female customer "HELLO!!" I went through the drive-thru and asked for a kids tropi- chop without beans, the girl on the speaker tells me I have to have the beans, then I ask for tomatoes and she said I couldn't have tomatoes. Repeated the order twice, they didn't have a couple of items, then cashier went over the order looking inside of the bags (I assumed he was confirming what was inside) and charged for it. Today I ordered a quarter chicken rice and beans. The chicken was undercooked and very unappetizing, the rice was gooey and clump and the beans were hard. The entire meal was fairly cold. It took over 45 minutes to get my food on the drive thru lane, and there were only 4 cars ahead of me. And, the order was wrong after all. My husband and I walked into the Pinecrest location on a Sunday at around 6:30pm. The first thing I noticed was that the floor was peppered with food throughout the restaurant, especially under many of the tables; it was visually unappealing. No one was on the floor sweeping things up to keep it tidy. We intended on dining in, so this was not a good first impression. We noted that the line to order was very long with many more people still waiting for their food after they ordered. My husband and I decided to leave; we chose not to stay. I'm sure that the food is very good, and given that the restaurant is new I'm certain that there were kinks. However, I will not be returning for a while, but will give it another chance eventually. We decided to drive up the road to Pinch Factory and the restaurant was clean, the service was prompt and friendly and the food was good. I hope that Pinecrest Pollo Tropical works out their kinks. The past two times I've been here, they've gotten my order completely wrong and I'm so fed up with it. Last time I came here, I asked for a quarter chicken (white meat), brown rice, and black beans. This is the worse pollo tropical I have ever been to. I realize this is a new location but it looks like there is no one properly managing the team. We waited at least 40 minutes in the drive through lane. Once we got up to the window the 3 employees that were in the window completely disappeared. We could hear them in the back talking about their upcoming vacations. Even though this pollo tropical is right across the street from my house, I will be going to the location on US1 by Dadeland or the one on 152 from now on. Second weekend in a row that we go to pickup food via drive thru, over 30 minute wait.

This happens EVERY time I visit Pollo Tropical. I order a Classic Cuban in the drive through line. I wait half an hour to creep up and pay. I pay and drive off, frustrated at the waste of time it took to make and buy a sandwich. I take it home, looking forward to enjoying my Cuban and AGAIN, JUST AS TWO WEEKS AGO, THE SANDWICH IS WRONG. Instead of a Classic Cuban I have a cold, sad, wilted chicken sandwich with a slice of cheese and I am finished with Pollo. Two weeks ago this same thing happened. I complained then through your website and got no response. It happened a month earlier than that as well! Someone in that store is either incompetent or destructively stupid. It took me a couple of weeks to chill out and give PC a THIRD chance. And for that I get SCREWED AGAIN. Listen, I didn't bother writing last year when a chicken breast sandwich I ordered was too thick and unfortunately half raw! I was in traffic on the expressway when I bit into it. But I'm tired of the grotesque idiocy that negates any attempt at serving what was a loyal customer base. I'm writing because I enjoyed a relationship with Pollo for two decades before this plummeting service.
