Great service! We were a group of about 12 people and although the wait for a table was long, which is understandable, the food was QUICK to get to our table. Everything was delicious, most had the churrasco but i tried the chicken fajitas with rice and beans and platanitos, they were all delicious! My dad, who is a picky meat eater, enjoyed his steak. We also had my toddler at the table, their high chairs are SECURE. extremely heavy duty and my toddler is a pretty big kid. he ate off of my fajitas and although he can be picky with his food sometimes, he also liked it. They even printed out a fresh coloring page for him. It was a great experience for trying a new place. My family is quick to go to the same restaurants (mostly because of my dad's pickiness) but this was a nice change. at 4pm on a saturday, it's not too crowded or loud (aside from my toddler showing his love for the mango juice by screeching). So we had this catered at my job and everything was delicious. My husband is a huge fan of nice food and we decided to try it after my coworker told me it was reasonably priced. It's always so packed that we thought it was an expensive restaurant. So we decided to give it a try. We waited about 5-10 minutes to get a table so that wasn't bad at all. They had live music. We started of with some cafe con leche and waters. Our waiter was very quiet and didn't really speak to us too much h. Which is my only criticism, but I saw the other servers and they all looked very nice. So I won't deduct any points. We decided to do the $40 parilla with chicken. Steak, and sausage with two sides. Gallo pinto and maduros. I got the baked potatoe on the side. And it came with a big piece of queso frito. We spent $60 and couldn't even finish the chicken which was my favorite thing. The usage was great as well especially with the spicy sauce. There are so many good options. They have ribs that looked amazing when the family next to us orders them. We decided to check this place out because we were in the mood for some Latin food. It was a great choice the food was delicious and the menu options are great! They have yummy appetizers, it took us some time to choose. We went with the mariquitas and fried cheese - it was so good, the cheese was just fried and stuck together in some parts but it was good. For entrees we got baby churrasco 8/10 and grilled chicken 9/10. The gallo pinto was soooo good. They had live music which was nice and the place moves! There was people in and out. Was there last night they had a harpist playing right next to our table, it was loud and obnoxious. Our server was lacking serving basic skills. They have increase their prices cut back on the bread ( no more bread) they always tell you they ran out. I ordered the chimichurri chicken, gallo pinto and a salad. Everything came out at the same time. Common knowledge is the salad first and then your meal . My chicken was so dried up and burnt in some parts, when i asked the waiter to please take it back and give me another his answer was that is the way the cooked it, That maybe I should order something else. I had the jalapeño steak, hubby had the steak & onions, my cousin had the pichana and his wife had the steak & chicken fajitas. They are regulars so they normally have a female waitress who seemed excellent but instead we got a male waiter who wasn't very polite or attentive. We had a carafe of sangria which has fruit cocktail in it so I was picking out the fruit after my husband drank all the wine! The steak was cooked as ordered and came quickly. Nice atmosphere. Read the menu as it has limitations for weekend. We ordered a couple of appetizers. Marquitas were good with mojo. Chimichurri is tasteless, pico is tasteless. The brought out empanadas after 20 minutes asking on status. The waiter mentioned they were frozen, he brought them out frozen in middle. Knowing the were frozen. Not a single condiment was spicy. Rice had a smoky bland taste, chicken just tasted grilled. Cabbage salad was ok. Waiter was fully aware he had given us a frozen product. If somebody was to ingest that it's a food hazard. I am a fan of comfort, food, and Nicaraguan comfort food is no exception. First time I came here was to join some friends, and I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I like the churrasco chicken. I always thought that churrasco was grilled marinated skirt steak so I was surprised to learn that any grilled meat can be called churrasco. It was delicious. I have been back and enjoyed their outstanding chicken soup, but really that chicken is the stand out for me. Tonight I have the steak which sadly was not prepared the way I ordered it but still was tasty although not memorable. What is memorable is the fried cheese. This is unique to their menu and is quite enjoyable. In addition, I enjoy that their salads and their vegetables are fresh and delicious. This is a restaurant that has become a regular stop for me because it is consistent and has many many items that I enjoy. Sometimes I am even treated to beautiful harp music while I enjoy my dinner. There have been some posts at the service is not great, but I have to disagree. In fact, they tend to go out of their way to make sure that everything is perfect. Understaffed and untrained wait staff. We waited for ten minutes and saw another family that came in at the same time as us receive their first water, bread and menus. We got nothing. We waved down three separate waiters, none acknowledged us. I don't know what the manager is doing, but it's definitely not managing the restaurant. Food was good, however service was terrible. I was approached by the server Orlando and he just asked what do you want to order. No introduction, not a question to see if I had any questions, just straight to it. The food was brought within a descent time and not once did he ask how was it nor did we need refills. I asked him for salt and never brought it, where I had to ask someone else for it. Then we were done with our food and I had to go out my way to ask for the check to another service as he was not attending to our table. Once I got the check I saw gratuity was included and I questioned it. The response was that even for two people gratuity was included and not the discretion of the guest. I've been coming here for years with my family. It's a great staple to get yummy Cuban food. Their fajitas are great! I came for lunch the other day during my break and ordered the chicken breast with mixed rice and beans and platanos. Although the food was delicious, the service was really slow. The place wasn't too busy but the server just wasn't on it. She would take a long time to come back, bring the bill, etc. and I ended up having to rush back to work. My friends and family have been coming here for years. I worked at a retail store nearby and would come here for lunch and the service and food have always been amazing. Lunch was flavorful with the taste of spanish seasonings bouncing around in my mouth. The Tostones con cameron was a twice fried and smashed plaintain with shrimp, a little guacamole and diced tomatoes on top. I also had a Batido (a shake) of passion fruit that quenched my thirst! The Carne Asada which is like a grilled skirt steak was cooked perfectly at medium. A little side of chimichurri sauce added a pop of flavor to the meat. Waitress Andres I believe his name was, was the worst waitress I've ever had in my life. I went around 5PM and the service by him was TERRIBLE. He seemed to be rushing my order, and clearly was showing attitude for no reason. Then once the food arrived, I asked again nicely if he could bring me sauce because I asked him prior while ordering, but he didn't write it down and forgot of course. It then took him 10 minutes to just bring me sauce. My fries were cold at that point so I told him to cancel that and my fries since he took forever. He proceeded to then THREATEN me and said to watch out? Not sure what that meant but he is the worst waitress I've ever had and the way he treats customers is crazy to me. Easy location off the Florida Turnpike, on way to Key West and this was our lunch stop. The Charbroiled Strip Steak was perfect, the fried Yuca and fried plantains hit the spot also. Pretty unfortunate when you encounter a restaurant that's local and has pretty good food but has such horrible service such rude male waiters. I did take out twice and there won't be a third. When I called to place my Togo order, and happened to ask a question about the price of the steak, I was told to read the menu. And then to top it off, when I arrived to pick up my food, again was met with another rude and dismissive waiter. A local gem that has become my go to! Portions are huge and all though mostly Nicaraguan have a variety of different dishes and cuisines. I always get the carne asada which is big enough to share with my mom with their really balanced cabbage salad. Meat is so smoky and perfectly cooked. I'll admit sometimes the rice is a hit or miss but most of the time... A HIT. I always call for pick up but sometimes when I eat inside I appreciate the ambience for a quick meal. Im never waiting too long for my food to be prepared and even then I'm always looking for an excuse to much on appetizers like empanadas, tamales and repocheta! We have been here multiple times and the last few have not been great. The restaurant itself is nice but lately the food has been below average. Today specifically the service was horrible, our waiter Orlando took our order we asked him for ketchup and salt and he never brought it we had to ask the busboy because he never came back To our table not even to see if we needed water mind you he only had 2 other tables who were there before us and were already eating. He came back to our table once we were done eating I asked for the bill he cleaned our table and took 15minutes to bring the bill and walked away as soon as he dropped it off. We were to pay and leave. Came back 5 minutes later and asked if we were ready I said yes and he proceeded to walk away from us to another table without charging us. 10 more minutes passed and he finally came back. Tip was already included on the bill and he tried pressuring us to add a tip (which I did not do). The service was terrible and Orlando was the worse waiter I've ever had. Coming from the Food service industry he is a disgrace and reason why we waiters have bad reputation. read more

After going to this restaurant for at least 10 years I am very disappointed. Today I went at 12:01 when the sign outside said open and was told we are not open. I pointed out that it was 12:01 and was told that we are not open bluntly and rudely even though I was smiling at the employe. He told me 10 minutes and proceeded to stare me down as if he was going to fight me. I will not spend my money in an establishment that is rude and also should make the open sign say 12:10pm if that is the opening time. read more

I visited this location with some relatives for the second time. This last time the wait for the food was longer than usual (than normal). We asked the waiter who looked like he had forgotten about our order. The food came WARM as it was seating in hte kitchen for a while. The term the meat I ordered came less cooked than I had requested. I didn't want to return any of the food, afraid that something was going to be done to it other than "fixing" it. Not sure the waiter was in another planet that day, but I could care less since I find that going out to eat should be a nice experience, and I don't like tp be treated like a child when I bring up about my food not being as ordered. read more
