Caesar wrap had good flavor, but barely any chicken and it was not wrapped well nor cut in half so the whole thing was falling apart and made it impossible to eat. Let's start with the store it has been remodeled and looks pretty inside. Went in before the lunch rush. I wanted to have a warm soup on a cooler day. Normally Pollo Tropical would have a sauce bar(a little area with salsa, cilantro sauce, bbq sauce and lemon juice) and soda fountain. I personally LOVE lemon juice in my soup. So, I asked for some lemon juice after I got my soup given that the sauce bar is now GONE! Additionally the tropi chop had some of the dryest and hardest chicken I have had at Pollo Tropical. Tried giving the place multiple tries to pick up my food on uber eats. Every single time without fail, when i come in to pick up the food at the "estimated time" it takes another 30 minutes. Wasted so much time sitting around waiting for my food on so many occasions. On top of that, the customer service makes mcdonalds look like Giselle in Miami with the amount of dirty looks and straight up gettng ignored. I work in the area and had an hour break so I decided to stop here while on break because I was craving pollo tropical and I am glad I did. This location however can get insane when it comes to waiting around because it gets so busy during lunch time from all the offices around the area. I was going to drive thru but a coworker told me they wait FORTY FIVE MINUTES once and I decided to park and go in because when I was there the line was insane for the drive thru. The interior was nicely decorated and it was very clean from the little bit of it that I saw. The open kitchen was cool to see because you could tell they kept that area clean as well. I was a little confused because so many people were standing around so for a few moments I had no idea where the line started and ended to place an order for food. After finding it, I waited to get called while I looked at the menu. I decided to get the mojo pork with rice and beans. To my surprise it also came with a little bread roll. The roll was generic but soft and it was great to sop up some bean sauce with. The rice was very nicely cooked and had the right amount of chewy to it and wasn't too sticky like other places. The beans were seasoned nicely but nothing to write home about. My only thing that upset me was the mojo pork could've been drained a little more because it was very oily at the bottom of the container they put it in so I didn't eat all of it because of that reason. I will never go to another Pollo tropical after how I was just treated by the worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life. I went through the drive thru. There was an employee taking orders outside on her tablet. I ordered dinner for my family. Mine was the Mojo pulled pork platter with YELLOW RICE & VEGGIES NO BEANS. I get home and there is WHITE RICE & BEANS. People make mistakes so I was like ok let me drive back and have them remake it. I drove back 20 mins with the incorrect food I received. The manager of the store replaces the YELLOW RICE in a little cup and says here. I asked if I can have the platter remade since the pork was now cold due to traveling 20 mins home and then 20 mins back. She refused to replace the platter and said she would only replace the RICE. That set me off. I left and immediately called corporate. The agent on the phone apologized for the managers actions and said they would take care of my concerns. I get put on a quick hold and then she asks me to download the pollo app so she could give me credit back. I download the app and she says she's putting $3.59 credit to my account for the RICE. I say really? What about for the cold pork now since I traveled 40 mins back and forth home. She then says sorry I will make it $5 for your troubles. This Pollo location is right by my office. The line is very fast and not busy at all. The chicken here recently is always fresh and the employees seem happy to help. Oh man. The service at this place sucks yall. It seems like its been going downhill but Ive been giving them chances. I went yesterday and every person there seemed incompetent and didn't know what they were doing. I drove home pissed because my order still came out wrong after I kindly told them at the window. This was my first time at this location and it was the worst . The food was great but the service was horrible. For some reason they closed the inside part at 4pm . There was only two people in line and they took like 15 min to take our order. To get our order another 20 min and they forgot two of the sides . Simply put, these people are scammers. I don't know what's happened to Pollo Tropical the last few years. They used to be such a great spot for a quick cheap lunch or dinner. Now, it's not quick, cheap, or great. It's the longest wait for "fast" food in the Weston area, they don't give you what you pay for, and the quality has gone down the drain. I stopped by a week or so ago to grab my mom and me some food on my way home from work. After waiting 20 minutes in the drive through to get to the speaker, I asked for the cilantro avocado chicken Tropi-Chop with tomatoes. The worker on the speaker told me that they cannot add customizations to a preset menu option. I told her I understood, and if I could get tomatoes on the side. She said that's not possible as they don't have an option for that on the menu. I again said I understood and asked if they could help me create a "build your own" Tropi-Chop with everything my mom wanted. She then said she couldn't. We went back and forth for about five minutes before she finally suggested that I could do a "build your own" Tropi-Chop, but the avocado would be extra. It was frustrating to go in circles for several minutes only to be suggested the same solution I had offered earlier, but I let it go and moved on with my order. I then asked for a side of fried Yuca for my mom. After that, I asked for the 1/4 chicken platter that comes with black beans and rice and two sides. She then corrected me and said that the rice and beans ARE the two sides. I told her that the menu says otherwise and she said no, that they just changed it and the menu is wrong. Not wanting to continue to argue, I asked then if I could get the three side option (which is more expensive) and get beans, rice, and fried yuca for myself. She said yes and told me to pull up to the window. After another ten minute wait, I finally got to the window, where I wanted another few minutes before someone greeted me. She angrily took my card and charged me, before slamming the window in my face. Five minutes later she comes back with the food and I had to ask for the receipt. She rolled her eyes and handed it to me and slammed the window shut before I could even say thank you. I checked the bag of food and immediately saw the Tropi-Chop had no tomatoes. I tried to wave her down for a few minutes and finally got her attention. She came back and angrily asked what I needed. I explained nicely that I needed my tomatoes, and if I could just get a little cup on the side that would be great. She responded, "I've had a hard day! Don't even try me!" And basically shoved it into my hands. After this interaction, I decided to park and check the rest of my food, only to see that the yuca for my mom had spilled all over the bag, I was missing my yuca, and that I didn't have sauce for either. I begrudgingly went inside, only to hear shouting and commotion from other customers. They were being treated the same way I was. After waiting my turn to speak to the women at the register, I explained that I was missing an item and sauces, and that I just wanted the food and then I would be out of her hair. She looked confused and told me she was new, and would have to ask. I understood and was waiting for her when the woman on the drive through shouted, asking, "What the hell does *she* want now?!" The cashier tried to explain but started getting confused and asked me to tell her exactly what I was missing. I did, and I made extra sure to say it as nice as possible as I did not want to make someone's bad day worse. The drive through worker then said that I should pay for the "extra" yuca, before the manager cut in and said to "just give it to her so she will leave us alone." The cashier and the drive through worker got my yuca, all while rolling their eyes at me and giggling between themselves. Then, they didn't have the sauce that is supposed to come with it, so I just picked another and went on my way. I don't know what I did to make them angry. I really go out of my way to be as nice as I can to everyone- you never know what people are going through. After talking to some of my friends, I came to find out that this is now the new normal for Pollo Tropical. It's sad; I used to love their food. Oh yeah, I also checked their online website.
