I placed an oder on their automated kiosk. When the option of the drinks came, I ordered 2. Apparently this doubled the order. To my surprise when the counter called my name there were two 1/2 white chicken orders. I think that needs to be made more clear, also the kiosk doesn't allow any options for substitutions of any of the sides. That is the first issue. Biggest issue. Once I explain the issue at the counter, they advise me that because I odered at the kiosk, they can't process a refund at all. So I am stuck with two orders. It makes no sense that the counter person can't issue a refund. What if the food is bad, or gets returned, etc? No options. Hopefully management can review this and make improvements. We have been to several La Granja restaurants since they opened about 20 years ago, but the Weston location has been the worse. We visited this location for the second time last week and it gets worse every time, obviously not going back. We ordered green spaghetti with Churrasco and meat was missing flavor and not the kind of churrasco you expect, not worth the extra money, the spaghetti was soggy and look disgusting I couldn't even eat it. Not to mention the service. I ask for Parmesan cheese thinking that it would help to fix the spaghetti taste but the lady told me they don't provide extra cheese so I explain to her and she asked me for the receipt to verify that I had orderer spaghetti to be able to provide me with some extra Parmesan. La Granja has never really seemed like they are trying to remodel or upgrade their locations other than flat screen TVs. I then proceed to douse my food in the sauces on the table and make sure to make an onion mountain on my chicken. Can't beat the quality for the price. They serve chicken, steak, fish and seafood dishes that are accompanied by many sides such as rice, black beans, potatoes, French fries. Their food is very tasty and delicious and prices are very reasonable. My biggest complaint, is their employees are so unfriendly and could care less about your experience there. They barely make eye contact, continue talking amongst themselves while you are placing your order and when you ask them a question about certain dishes, it's like pulling teeth to get them to respond. I ordered the 1/2 chicken and it came with rice, beans and a few plantains (bananas). The only complaint I have is that I wish they offered free refills on soda. One can of soda is not always enough and other similar restaurants do have free refills. The staff was somewhat friendly although it's not full service and thus, I'm not expecting the employees to be my best friends. I have been going there for years but yesterday was my last time. Same thing as every other review. Customer service is the WORST. the girl at the register looks like she will punch you if you say anything. Everyone else looks miserable as well. I constantly ask for well cooked chicken and I get pink chicken. I wonder if the health department can shut them down for that. I will find out. I want to preface my review with saying that the food wasn't my biggest issues today (even if they insist on over cooking the beef). I entered to buy take out for my family's lunch. Just before me we other patrons who were treated fairly nicely. But when I approached, my feeble attempt at pronouncing the food in their Spanish names was belittled (made me feel embarrassed so forget about trying to speak full sentences in Spanish), and I was received with a very cold "don't bother me" stuck up attitude. Then as my order was being prepared, because one can not see what's inside all the containers, I asked if all the food was there especially the sides (easily forgotten I figured). Without actually looking at me in the eyes, but almost uninterested, I was told yes, everything is there. My internal reaction was to say "oh so sorry to bother you!" But I left it alone. I even ignored that after me, all the other patrons, all Latin were greeted with smiles and a more "up" attitude. By the time I got home, which for now is not in Weston, my wife realized they had actually forgotten the rice and beans. So I called back, not looking for much, but a simple credit for next time. The first person who answered, a woman didn't speak English. She insisted I speak Spanish instead but like I said earlier, I wasn't going to embarrass myself again. So she put the phone down for someone else to come. Except before someone came they just left it there and I could hear the person tending to other patrons. After literally 10 minutes, a man came on the phone. He spoke decent enough English and I explained what happened. When I told him I wasn't about to drive all the way back for beans and rice, he hung up! So now, I'm upset. I call back. A woman answers and said "Spanish only", but this time with attitude. So with frustration, I explained I did not speak Spanish. To please pass the phone to the guy who hung up on me. Once again I could here the setting the phone on the counter and I waited nearly 20 minutes as others were serviced and I wanted. At this pointed I just wanted to know how this all ends. They didn't even say "please hold", or something similar. Nothing. When the man finally came on the line I asked why he hung up, and he said it was someone else who hung up. But not one apology or attempt to offer customer service. All he did was tell me to come tomorrow for a credit. So in a pinch, La Granja offers a decent enough alternative. But watch out, at least in Weston, if you're not the right race or heritage. Because if you're "gringo" you'll know. And if the folks at La Granja read this, be warned: I'm not a racist right-wing bigot just looking for an excuse to "hate you", but if I was, it would have probably ended a lot worse. read more

The restaurant is dirty and literally falling apart. The back door is rusted through and critters are able to come in at night. Theres no paper towels in the bathroom to help me keep clean. During covid the kitchen staff aren't wearing masks. The front staff aren't wearing masks properly and keep touching their faces. The salsa bar is not properly secured to avoid passing the virus. And what set me off is that the staff are inept and rude. I don't speak Spanish fluently and they treat me disrespectfully because of it. My order is always wrong. And the staff couldn't care any less. I've even called the corporate office to complain. They dont answer the phone which tells me they dont care about their customers.
