You possibly need to know a little Spanish. Great tacos and delicious charro beans. I will return!read more

This place feels like your mom is cooking in the kitchen…read more.. I've tried multiple plates...and each plate was delicious, well portioned, flavorful, delectable...I can go on. First thing you cannot beat the prices. Enchilada plates for $7... fajita plates for $8...The fajita is cooked to order when I went so it comes out with a nice sizzle. The refried beans have that nice sheen on it which means lard was used to cook them...making them so tasty. The rice looked fluffy...the veggies in them do not taste from frozen and the rice was perfectly cooked. They also make their own tortillas. I went with flour...and who doesn't love just mixing in everything all at once...little bit of fajita, some beans, some rice...that taco was a bite of heaven. The enchiladas are amazing...I had suizas with chicken inside. Most places use shredded chicken as a filler...but it's usually boiled or not seasoned. The lady used pollo guisado for the filling...so it went perfect with the salsa and the cheese. Bomba! And the menudo...I'll be honest, what threw me off was the texture of the menudo. It was very soft ...but I cannot complain. It had layers of flavors...the tripe was soft..no fat on it. It was clean and perfectly cooked...with lime on it, perfect dish for a Sunday morning. I will say...the place is small. But I won't knock it for that. Biggest table is only for 4 people and it'll be a tight fit...but hey, get it to go. Not a problem... And customer service is the best. I've stopped multiple times, and want to try all their dishes. I recommend the same for everyone.

The food options are amazing, from breakfasts to special meals like the fajita Tampiqueña, chile rellenos (also chile en nogada), to antojitos like tacos, enchiladas, tortas (even tortas ahogadas!), chilaquiles your way, ...to some incredibly decadent looking pastries and desserts... wow. They even have a "grandchildren's menu". I had the fajita Tampiqueña which was delicious and very filling. I couldn't eat it all. All the entrees are arranged on your plate to even look special. They serve real fruit, fresh aguas frescas as well as all the usual soft drinks, sparkling water, coffee, tea. The aguas frescas are very refreshing! The service was excellent: both friendly and efficient. This is not some fast food grab it and leave kind of place, but a classy and comfortable place for a real meal, food, fellowship with friends and family. I can't believe I'd not been here before. Highly recommended. This needs to go national!

We left a $12 cash tip and the restaurant added an additional $5 charge on our credit card after we left that was not included in the final bill. Very disappointed.
