What used to be competitive prices are now over-priced prices for what you receive! 3 of us dinner last night, place was busy of patrons who like us did not want to drive outside of Hemrot. Service is always, hit or miss. "Specials" are not really specials so beware! 1 of us had a Polly Burger, extra for Cheddar cheese, skimpy on the onion, tiny "leaf" of Romain lettuce, dab of sauce and okay buns. Did I mention, NO TOMATOES! If you want a tomato, you'll have to squeeze it on, as in Ketchup! For the price, $10.+ tip, you're better off going to innout and getting a 4x4, fries and a shake!! At the check-out they always try to up-sell you, squeeze out that extra buck you might have not spent!! If you like overpriced "stuff", then this GHETTO is for you! read more

The service really needs a lot of improvement. The servers and hosts do not smile, do not use a friendly tone of voice, do not exhibit warmth or care and do not seem to care about making the customers feel welcome or appreciated. I have given them three chances and the service has been abysmal each time so it's pretty clear that there is a certain culture of poor service and mediocrity here that management has allowed to exist or has itself created. It's very sad and shouldn't be allowed. Not all Polly's Pies have this unacceptable approach to customer service. If you are looking for a place to eat in Hemet go anywhere else but here. I have had several enjoyable meals at this restaurant through the years. Unfortunately today I had a disappointing experience. Due to the Covid-19 they are just barely letting people sit in the restaurant for a meal. I ordered the specially priced meal of a slice of their chicken pot pie with a free slice of apple pie. The chicken pot pie didn't taste right. I ate the crust that was good. I finally figured out that all pieces of the vegetables were only half cooked. It ruined the meal for me. I talked to the mgr ordered something else and took it to go. As I went home I was attacked by a bout of indigestion. A tablet of Pepcid AC saved the day. The mgr told me that he told the cook. They had served other slices of the chicken pot pie to other people and no one had complained. I hope those people don't Get sick. read more

It's not one of our favorite towns for many reasons, but when we do find ourselves driving through Hemet, we make it a point to stop at Pollys Pies. The food is fresh, the service is great and the prices can't be beat. As a vegan my choices are limited but I generally go here for the rest of the family. I order the salad with Italian dressing and I also eat the homemade chips. My family ordered everything from tuna sandwiches to pancakes and eggs and French toast to pecan pumpkin pie a la mode. The budget lunch menu is a great deal. For $6.99 you get an entree and a slice of pie! The children's menu offers lots of great dishes for the kiddos. Pollys is one of our favorite restaurants. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Food came out rather quickly and never once did I have to ask for a refill on my water or my girlfriend's iced tea. I had the roasted chicken with green beans and baked beans while Pam had the Salisbury Steak with smashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was very flavorful and tender. Pam's Salisbury Steak was very flavorful and was served with mushrooms and beef gravy that was very delicious and savory. Good sized portions and my dinner came with a slice of pie. I was so full! I really like their bakery items and their wallpaper reminds me of the snozberries on the original "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" movie. I just had lunch at Polly's...I had gone there years ago and was not impressed with the food but my friend asked me to give it another try...The first thing I noticed was HOW LOUD it was in there (I'm a crabby old senior LOL)...we were seated right away and our order was taken pretty quickly...the restaurant seemed clean so happy about that...our food came out in good time also but that's where the tables turned...I ordered the Asian Salad and it had ZERO flavor...the chicken underneath all the veggies was actually moist and delicious ....the veggies were crisp but again no flavor....seriously Polly you can run to Walmart and buy an asian salad dressing and they are really good....also that salad could have used some sliced almonds and dried cranberries and this would have been a hit...my friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich and it was really wet...these salads become really soggy when they lay around for a while...she was really unhappy with it...the cornbread that came with the salad was DELICIOUS....service was good but no plans to go back to Polly's again. read more

Polly Pies just changed how they make and the size of their Cobb Salad. It's absolutely AWFUL... Not much lettuce unless you look at the hunk of root. Very little turkey. No blue cheese that I could see. Then it's tossed with something so when you get it home it's all wilted. It's 2/3rds the size. All management had to say was sorry but that's the new way. I've been eating this salad for years as I travel weekly to Hemet. Told the manager I'm not coming back if this is what's new. I HOPE EVERYONE STAYS AWAY. They also pulled the Taco Salad. Im sorry to say, I was not impressed with this restaurant at all. Went here for dinner tonight and ordered the 1/4 lb. rotisserie chicken meal. The chicken was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were okay, but the green beans looked and tasted like they were straight out of a can (I think it was). Other family members who ordered the chicken meal said the same thing about the green beans. The rest of my family ordered their meals and one was a taco salad and the other was the country fried steak. The taco salad was pitiful because there was not much to it, and the steak was on the smaller side. My brother and sister asked for a coleslaw as their meals' side dishes, but instead they got a few carrot strips and celery sticks. They need to lower their prices, or up the portions and the quality of their food. This restaurant's redeeming quality is its out-of-this-world pies and desserts, but that is all. read more
