Polonia was recommended by a Polish American friend. It's a small market with some great Polish food. I went there this morning to buy some kielbasa and head cheese. Both were delicious to eat. I've also heard they have good pate.

I got hooked on this spot secretly back in 2009, I highly recomend this spot for their double smoked kielbasa and rich, delectable blood sausages, even the short ribs in a can are quite good believe me I would not lie. Its friendly, mom and pop market that shouldn't be over looked. Brush up on language and go shopping and sample the offerings.

If you love Polish comfort food, come to Polonia. Hard to source cold cuts and many types of Smokey sausages and kielbasa. Service is great and the owners and family are so helpful. It's cramped space so it can be a little overwhelming at first, but the selection of polish staple goods is unbeatable. Treat yourself and go there to get something delicious for the grill this weekend. read more

Wall to wall m, floor to ceiling this place had it all. Deli, cold soft drinks, baked goods, James, spices m, soup mixes, lots of sweets, pretty every type of polish product you need. Great prices read more

I love the authentic atmosphere and merchandise of this market. Truly Polish ... wonderful kielbasa, cheese, poppy seed cake, pastas, pickles, and I can't buy enough of that wonderful Wedel chocolate at Christmas time. All this and reasonable prices...served up by a very charming owner. read more

Very good service and selection of kielbasa and other varieties. I queried about a black pudding sausage and I was given a sampling. She explained the difference between the two varieties they had. I liked it but the wife didn't care for it. read more

This is simply the best deli store in Rhode Island ! Everything is always very fresh , very high quality products. Very helpful and friendly staff! The store is small but I can find everything I need there. Yes the parking is def very small but even that would not stop me from going there on a regular basis! 10/10 ! read more

The only negative is that I didn't know about this market sooner! The selection of mustard alone is worth the drive. So many amazing polish treats that you would never find at even a gourmet European market. I still don't know what half of the products are, but I do make an effort to try something new on each visit (aside from the staples of kielbasa, pierogies, and bakery treats). The whiskey mustard has quickly become a new favorite. The owners are lovely and super helpful if you need any help or have any questions. Don't forget to grab a box of fancy chocolates from the back of the store! read more

I found this market by accident back in November and was so excited! It's quite small, but well organized and clean with friendly, helpful staff. They have lots of kielbasa varieties as well as all the standard Polish cold-cuts, fresh bread and pastries, herbs, spices, pickles, candies, teas, magazines, greeting cards, you name it. They also have 2 brands of pierogi-both equally delicious- with good flavor and texture. I make Polish food once a year for Christmas Eve with my dad, but crave it much more often than that. This is a quick hop off of 95 and will definitely be my new one-stop Polish shop...especially now that my boyfriend is hooked on kiszka! read more

The only reason I wanted to drop it to 4 stars (But won't because our area needs more Polonia Markets) -the location for parking really sucks and I bet it limits their potential business. -this is NO criticism, because old school is why I like this place a lot. BUT please consider putting small descriptive signs under some the shelf items for those of us who don't speak Polish. I feel awkward sometimes because I don't want to seem stupid asking what every item is, some of the items are unfamiliar to me as well as the labeling. ANYWAY...my new thing is go Polish for game day...or just something different for dinner. This is where you shop. This were you go for your wursts. The selection is vast for deli, really exceptional. You would never expect the best Polish provision store in RI would be in Pawtucket next to the tracks. Prices are very fair, in fact, less than supermarket chains for staple Polish food shelf items. And the kicker is, you can find Polish versions of US market items like Belvita biscuits that are different and fresh. Great service, helpful and friendly. If no one greets you right away, the reason is many people walk in and out not really knowing what they are missing, and sorry to say the neighborhood is sketchy. Not the worst around, but lock your car. What an awesome option for your next Sunday dinner, tailgating or cookout. You will be glad you stopped in, excellent market. I just wish they would move to a bigger store and easier location to park at. Move to South Attleboro! read more

Polish specialty store. Great selection of pierogis and and some other frozen traditional goodies. I don't know much about the different items here, but I do know about head cheese Their selection and quality is top notch! Homemade kielbasa's and sausages that are mouth watering. Small mom n pop that will walk you through your curiosity. Even give a slice of this or piece of that so you know what you want. You can't find these meat's at stop n shop or even local deli's anymore. This is the real deal. read more

Eastern European food is so underrated in American culture and I am so happy to have a Polish market! We went the week of Easter and waited in a line that went around the whole store. So glad they're doing well, I love getting their pierogis and smoked kielbasa. Don't know much about Polish grocery items? Don't be scared! Try the pastries, chocolates (especially the liquors!), jams, they're all great! read more

I love this place!!! Not only they have traditional Polish products, but the owners and their employees are super friendly, helpful and caring. My boys always get a lollipop when we go there, so even they love going with me hehehe without complaints that we have to stop at another store! I nightly recommend stopping by this Polish store to try some of the different types of kielbasa's they sell, some tasty Polish chocolates and their delicious local baked bread they sell makes it a perfect sandwich! read more

My comments have been flooded with Market Basket requests since I started this journey. For full transparency, I didn't know MB existed until I started DOGGIN these chickens. I walked in with my production team, and was so caught off guard. Employees smiling from ear to ear while being dressed to the nines, floors squeaky clean, a fresh popcorn station, a delectable looking hot bar, etc. There is just so much soul in here. This is what a family run grocery store looks like before they sell out. You can just tell, this is their baby. They care so much. They put their heart and soul into running these stores, and it shows. I felt like I was in a Bucee's, and I don't know if I could give a higher compliment. Perhaps the most surprising thing of all was the $4.69 rotisserie chicken. This marks the cheapest tissi Chicken Wars has ever seen. Cheaper than Costco and Sam's Club. How are they doing this? My one concern was that the chicken came in saran wrap, which I thought would make the skin all soggy. The other 32 grocery stores I've tried all came in a plastic bag or plastic container. However, I respected the confidence. They're not scared to do something no one else is doing. Talent hits a target no one else can hit, genius hits a target no one else can see. We got this bird and took it to a park down the street, and I began consumption. The skin was ideal, a perfect golden brown with a slight crisp. The saran wrap didn't make it soggy at all. The breast was perfectly tender and was delicious. I didn't need one sip of water throughout the whole bird. The leg was operating at a high level as well, falling off the bone. I sat on this park bench in awe. How? How can this be $4.69, a good size, and this good? It didn't make sense. I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. I ended up giving it an 8.9/10, which makes it tied for 3rd with the Fresh Market. My only critique is it didn't have as much flavor as Fairway or Publix, but it was right there. I was so inspired that I went back in and tried to buy a hat, but they didn't sell any smh. I was especially thankful for this, as we needed a road win in New England. The other 2 birds I tried up here were ROUGH. A nice side effect of this journey has been traveling to try new birds. Every time I travel, I feel like I gain a wealth of knowledge in a short period of time. I grow and learn every time I go to a new place, and to me, that's what life is all about. I bought some chicken sandwich wraps and the lettuce was terrible. Wilted, rotting. And you know how it starts getting slimy as it goes bad. I actually had to pull my sandwich apart to unwrap the lettuce and pull it out. I would not serve that to anyone. And I wasn't going to eat it. I even bought a ready to drink young coconut that comes with a straw. Could not get that thing opened for anything so returned it immediately. I did get a slight taste of it on the straw as I was trying to pry it in and it tasted rancid. The coconut was wrapped in plastic labeling but you could see the oxidation and discoloration on the top. When I returned it I did not even say why and the lady opened the bag and said "oh it's rotten I can already smell it." I like market basket but this should not be happening. Even at another grocery store (WF) the other day a chicken wrap was filled with rotting lettuce. Maybe wraps are now a good place for grocery stores to hide rotting lettuce.

The area where it's located is in an industrial area so across the street you see old brick industrial buildings and walls, which make this part of town a bit scary at night. Anyway, the store itself has the basic departments that you will find at other America's Food basket like produce, meats, groceries, etc. Since Pawtucket and Central Falls have a large Hispanic population, the offerings are very much geared towards the Latino community. The ambiance would be better if there weren't so much racism toward Black people entering the store. I thought it was weird I didn't see any Black people in there.

Kinda like a warehouse store, but you don't have to buy in bulk. Items for sale are still in their shipping boxes, boxes stacked up on the aisles. The Pawtucket place had a great produce selection and a great bakery. The fish was definitely past its prime - it definitely would not last until tomorrow. Lots of ethnic items - in this case Spanish/South/Central American. As with all stores, you need to know your prices. Most of the produce had amazing prices - I got fresh mangoes and pineapples and coconuts for 99 cents each. But their Kind Bar pricing was no better than any other store. Service in the aisles was close to nonexistent. But the cashiers were super friendly and helpful. The guy in front of me was on a limited budget and the cashier had no problem adding and removing items from his cart so that he could afford his weekly groceries. Not sure it's worth the drive to Pawtucket to save money on a fresh pineapple - but I am definitely going to keep this chain in mind

I have been to some locations where their produce section isn't as great, but here, I have always found what I needed and it's fresh.. The employees do a good job of restocking, and keeping items as organized as possible. They have a lot of self-check-out registers, and 1-2 human operated registers. I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in line. I always look forward to their weekly flyers to see what specials they have, some of which are really incredible. They do operate on a coin system for carts which keeps the parking lot clear of lingering carts. The parking lot is very spacious. This store is located in a plaza and around a lot of good businesses so it's a good area to run errands, eat a meal, and grocery shop in the same trip.

I have been coming to International Meat Market for years, back when they were on Lonsdale Ave,…read morewhere they just built Central Falls High School. This newer location is a lot bigger, with a massive parking lot. They are primarily a meat market, so they obviously have a large variety of meat, organized by type (beef, chicken, pork, fish, etc) behind clear cases. The prices are good and they usually have specials on different meats every week. The price per pound also decreases by a little when buying in bulk (10 Ibs +). They have meat packages available too where it comes with a pre-selected variety of meat for a set price. They have an online platform to order packages which saves lots of time by not having to wait in line, and I believe they accept orders by phone too. When ordering in person, they have a number system to order, so you grab a ticket with a number, and they call out the numbers in order to attend to customers in a first come first served fashion. Sometimes, the wait can be 30 min +, not because they are short staffed (there is almost always 8-12 people taking orders), but just because of the amount of people who come in. The meat always looks fresh. The staff is always in a good mood, happy to take orders, very patient, speak Spanish and English (and maybe more languages), and accommodating to requests. For example, they wil cut the meat in any way you wish, you can choose which piece you want, and tell them exactly how much you want. Aside from the meat, they have lots of authentic products from Central/South America, and some Portuguese products as well. They have a produce section with fresh fruits and vegetables, but it is usually more expensive than some grocery stores. They have 3-4 cash registers, so the checkout lines usually don't take longer than 2-10 minutes. Recently, they were celebrating one year of being at this location so to show some appreciation to their customers, they hosted a BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, larcites, and samples of some of their products - very generous.

The cupcake bouquets are made to order and come in a variety of flowers and colors. Bouquets come in 7, 12, 14, 19, 24 cupcakes. Three weeks ahead of the date of the party, I called and placed an order with Susan, owner of Awesome Sweets Bakery. Susan walked me through the flavors and fillings of the cupcakes and the colors. I chose 7 cupcakes-3 Red Velvet filled with Chocolate Mousse and 4 Funfetti filled with Strawberry Buttercream and for colors-blue, yellow, white, and pink. Credit card information was also taken when I placed my order. It was very easy to work with Susan. On the day of the party, I went to pick up the cupcake bouquets and they all looked so beautiful. It was stored in a tall box and was easy to transport. I can tell so much attention to detail and hard work went into piping the flower petals. The cupcakes were moist and icing wasn't overly sweet. Parking can be challenging especially seeing this restaurant runs on Lonsdale Ave a busy street in itself. The line was out the door and that's where I stood waiting patiently. The love moves at a decent pace. Here finally my turn and I honestly had no clue what to expect or what they even really sold but I was hoping they had anything that contained ham and cheese and they did, Brad with ham and cheese for $3.50 I was surprised that was all. They do gave finger foods, drinks coffee and fruit drinks, breads, pastries of many sorts. I was tempted to get a pastry but I stayed focused. The bread was actually good and tasted fresh they only concern which was a big one for me was that there was hardly any ham and cheese in it and I mean like barely none. I could have actually went with just bread as that's what I felt I received. Would I return maybe especially if I am in mood for something g sweet as the variety was plenty to choose from. You can order right online for pick up and bypass the long line out the door. The place is always busy but worth the wait, I would definitely suggest ordering online if you are in a rush. They don't have much parking but I always somehow find street parking. It's a very casual place with cafeteria style seating. I get the chicken with potato empanadas, beef empanadas, with their homemade hot sauce. They also have a ton of pastries. All homemade DELICIOUS!
