I'm still shopping at this location. Their fish department has the best fish around. I often get the farm raised salmon. Go in the morning, the morning guys will tell you what just came in. In the last few years their bakery dept has emerged as a must buy. Their blueberry muffins are hot in the morning. Stop and Shop milk is Garelick farms and is another must buy. Chiobani yogurt goes on sale once a month Shopping in the morning is an overall good idea for this location. read more

I love this stop & shop location. It always has pretty much everything I need. It's small, but in a good way. Even if they don't have the exact item I'm looking for, due to low inventory everywhere because pandemic, they will usually alway carry an item similar that will fit my needs. The self serve kiosks are plentiful and easy to use. The employees are pleasant. Once I was using the self serve kiosk at night, and a couple in front of me scanned their item, and then this couple started to walk away without paying. I called attention to whoever was working that evening, because I know later at night staff is a little lower, and it was a little distressing to see someone shoplift right in front of me. They immediately came over and amended the situation and acted appropriately. The next time I shopped here they had security/police manning the stations, which made me feel very safe, and I love that the store decided to take a proactive approach to the situation. I will always continue to use this Stop & Shop location for all my needs as long as I'm in the area. Hopefully they do add maybe some more organic produce, but really no produce complaints in general. Much better than the providence stop & shop off of Branch Ave in providence, that I avoid like the plague! I wanted to add that whenever I ask for paper bags, if they aren't already right there, the employees are alway very pleasant and kind, and go out of their way to either immediately find me paper bags, search for paper bags, or show me where the paper bags are, so I can help myself. If they can't find any paper bags the employees will always ask the service desk, or just ask around in general about where they might be, and they never act as if I am bothering them. Horrible first experience here. I'm going to assume he was the general manger and the fact that he didn't want to give his name is even more concerning because someone must of complained about you before. Very rude, doesn't know how to approach people and wouldn't even let me talk. if you had just asked the basic question you could of saved yourself from this horrible review on your store. 2nd time I have seen a small dog in the store being held by the owner over produce items. These dogs were absolutely NOT service animals, just someone's pet. No one that works there approached the person. And good fun when it's barking so even if the employees didn't see it they could hear it. So disgusting! I don't care what I need, I'll never go there again. read more

Giving it 3 stars as the staff is rude. I can't help but laugh - the check-out staff wear aprons saying 'happy to help', yet they have a scowl on their face. Otherwise, good selection of products. Clean store. Just prefer shopping at the Stop-and-Shop in Seekonk as they are much friendlier. read more

The prices have gone down within the last month to being affordable. I love there olive bar it is ALWAYS fresh. The vege department staff will always check the back if there isn't something available. I really like this location. The only downfall is I miss the salad bar. I got fresh salad to go at least once a week. It was better than buying the individual ingredients. read more

My family has been shopping here for a decade, spending no less than $8,000 a year. That is about to end. The front end of this store is a mess. It is impossible to cash out in under 20 minutes, any time, night or day. It is understaffed, and undertrained. Mis-marked prices, expired product, and cashiers who don't recognize "broccoli" guarantee a trip to customer service where you can wait another 10 minutes. This store is in crisis, and management needs to go into crisis mode ASAP. read more

I've shopped at stop and shop for 40 years. The last couple of years I've noticed the decline in every aspect. The bakery is always out of something, regardless of the time of day. Fruit and vegetables have a low shelf life. Meat is not cut properly, meat case is ALWAYS empty, except for cheap products that nobody wants. Packaged cold cuts, out of code. Dairy has low shelf life. Grocery shelves half empty. Most of the employees are extremely rude. This store is no longer a place for me. What a shame. read more

I love this stop and shop location. I always do self check out and now with the new layout I am in and out. The employees in the self checkout area are always very nice and there to help if my coupons don't go through! There is also a stop and shop gas station in the plaza so stack up those gas points. read more

My personal experiences with cashiers at the RI stores in Providence and North Providence lead me to believe that customer service training is not your priority. There are very pleasant and courteous cashiers and there are the others who seem to be selective about whom they extend basic courtesy to. Two examples are: N/Providence cashier #13 at 11:17am 05/03/2018; Providence cashier Marjorie, approx 2 weeks ago. My conclusion is that your courteous staff are just being themselves. The others reflect a lack of training and sensitivity to the fact that all customers are valuable to the bottom line. read more

I should start this review by stating I HATE grocery shopping, maybe more than anything in the entire world. That being said, this place is AWFUL. Luckily for me, my girlfriend does most of the grocery shopping, but I have had to shop plenty in my time, and I always find myself here, why? It really is the closest grocery store in the area. The next closest is also a super stop n shop, frankly it is not much better. This store NEVER has everything I need, and we are talking basic things here, like bread? Yeah, bread, they are out of fresh bread very often. If you want any bread on a Sunday? FORGET it. The Deli is always overwhelmed, and I notice it is normally because they have one or two hard working people on the counter, bogged down by two or more lazy bums who look like they'd rather get hit by a cement truck than be working at the Deli. Generally there are carts all over the parking lot and not enough in the store. They do have some nice specials at times, however, generally if you are not there to hack people's limbs off to get these specials they are gone long before you get there. Their butcher selection of meats is usually pretty pathetic. Their prices? People say you "save some bucks" going here, um, not in my opinion. Frankly, their prices seem pretty much in line with every other supermarket I have gone too. And, the crowds in this store? UGH.. Crowded aisles, rude people, this place really blows. Then, when you finally get to a register, usually you are waiting 20-25 minutes because there is not enough staff on duty, when you do get to the register? Well, you could have just won mega millions and just looking at the person at the register will make you want to step in front a dump truck and then ask them to back over you as well. Do not go here, drive the extra few minutes to market basket or literally any other grocery store. They are never stocked with produce/ meat , and it they have produce you have to search for anything good. One week they will have a brand then you go back and it's gone , never seen anything like that. The employees are rude and have very inappropriate conversations with each other right in front of the customers. At the beginning of covid they were decent with regulations ; now they do not even exist. People are not required to wear masks ( and managers say nothing) . Even some of the employees have their masks below their nose. People can walk whatever way up and down the isles so it's not even safe to be there anymore. The self check outs / registers are not cleaned. They actually are greasy to touch the credit card machines. Not to mention you can do self check out ( and pay for all your things) and watch everyone around you steal tons and tons of things with no security watching at all ( this happens almost every time i do self check out and makes me very upset). Employees are miserable and unhelpful at this location. With the main exception being self checkout ***** somehow those employees are always wonderful. But typically empty shelves for popular items and don't you dare try to ask someone to look in the back or grab one from the back. That would require them to assist customers. (They won't!!) save you're self the $$$$ And aggravation and go to market basket. Or travel to mass and go to that stop and shop! That's what I will do from here on out! read more

What happened to this store?? Overall store conditions have changed significantly for the worse. Visited @5:00 pm on a Wednesday. Store was cluttered with displays, the shelves were in disarray, no associates in the aisles to help, no sign of management on the sales floor or in departments, deli order and go machine was broken, no chickens in the chicken warmer up front; in fact it was turned off, staff up front are in mix matched uniforms, floor conditions were poor.... I went this morning to purchase monistat . I was embarrassed of having to purchase this item so I went early therefore I could stay away from a crowd of people and use the "self check out lane". I purchased my hair spray hair, hair conditioner and monistat. I walked out of the store and a young man comes running after me saying i forgot to pay for something. So then I walk back into the store with him where he had me open my bag and he takes OUT the monistat and is walking down the FRONT OF THE STORE with it in his hand , talking to people as he takes me upstairs. We get up there and he says I never scanned the monistat and never put it on the belt. I said I did scan it, I was trying to not embarrass myself with the customers near by so NO I did NOT have my yeast infection cream go down the belt for the world to see as they exit the store! I show him on the receipt where it said i PAID for my monistat! I have never been so embarrassed by someone in my life! It was completely uncalled for and I have been going to this stop and shop for years. NEVER again will I come back to this store due to the way I was treated and totally embarrassed in front of the public by YOUR employee. Shame on you guys. read more
