I have been coming to International Meat Market for years, back when they were on Lonsdale Ave, where they just built Central Falls High School. This newer location is a lot bigger, with a massive parking lot. They are primarily a meat market, so they obviously have a large variety of meat, organized by type (beef, chicken, pork, fish, etc) behind clear cases. The prices are good and they usually have specials on different meats every week. The price per pound also decreases by a little when buying in bulk (10 Ibs +). They have meat packages available too where it comes with a pre-selected variety of meat for a set price. They have an online platform to order packages which saves lots of time by not having to wait in line, and I believe they accept orders by phone too. When ordering in person, they have a number system to order, so you grab a ticket with a number, and they call out the numbers in order to attend to customers in a first come first served fashion. Sometimes, the wait can be 30 min +, not because they are short staffed (there is almost always 8-12 people taking orders), but just because of the amount of people who come in. The meat always looks fresh. The staff is always in a good mood, happy to take orders, very patient, speak Spanish and English (and maybe more languages), and accommodating to requests. For example, they wil cut the meat in any way you wish, you can choose which piece you want, and tell them exactly how much you want. Aside from the meat, they have lots of authentic products from Central/South America, and some Portuguese products as well. They have a produce section with fresh fruits and vegetables, but it is usually more expensive than some grocery stores. They have 3-4 cash registers, so the checkout lines usually don't take longer than 2-10 minutes. Recently, they were celebrating one year of being at this location so to show some appreciation to their customers, they hosted a BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, larcites, and samples of some of their products - very generous. read more

I went in today and ordered two good size T=bone steaks and went home to cook it and it was the toughest T bone steaks i have ever had besides being flavorless as all heck. Beware of this place and opt to purchase your steaks elsewhere. read more

This place is pretty decent. A lot of open space which is great. It looks a lot bigger from the outside. They have many international brands along with a few regular brands you see in every grocery store. Pretty much everything here is quite expensive unless it's on sale. I happen to be here on a day where whole wings were $2 per lb. Pretty good deal, even cheaper than Walmart. Unfortunately the meat section doesn't have much more of a variety than other grocery stores. Way too much meat and fish are frozen. The staff doesn't seem to want to be here. They have a big parking lot with handicap spaces very close to the door. Unless something is on sale I don't see any reason to come back here. read more

I went into the store looking for roast beef at the deli. I wanted to make sandwiches for work. I went to the deli, and they only had turkey, chicken, ham and cheese. I asked about getting a pound of sliced roast beef and the person at the deli had no idea what I was talking about. Told me he didn't speak much English. I tried explaining using gestures, pointing to the deli meat, that I wanted to make sandwiches. He didn't understand. He asked a coworker for help. Coworker came he didn't speak much English either. But acted like he understood. He didn't. I don't recommend this store to anyone who isn't fluent in Spanish language. read more

I went to the International Meat market for the first time to pick up meat for Christmas dinner. The store busy but they had plenty of staff so I did not have to wait long. The inside looked clean. The prices were fantastic. The meat we purchased tasted great. I will be back. read more

Was impressed with the cleanliness of the store despite the tiny size. They're also doing an excellent job at maintaining social distancing, as well. Visited for the first time and found all the items I usually buy, such as horchata concentrate rice drink (B&B brand is lactose and gluten free!!), turbinado cane sugar, and corn flour. A lot of people seem to come here for the meat. Tons of parking. Friendly service. Near the Lincoln border. Very popular store, so It's best to avoid busy times. Grew up down the street from this market and never went inside until recently. So tired of large grocery bills a Stop Shop. My husband and I decided to stop in. If you have never been in a meat market before-beware there is a strong smell. Grab a number and then peruse across the glass cases to view what is being sold and their prices. Great prices!! We have shopped here three times in the last few weeks and we are averaging around $25 for a weeks worth of meats! Rest assured- as much as this is in a Hispanic community and all the deli cutters speak Spanish they also speak English and are very helpful (super nice!) A few days ago I asked the employee which steak would be best for a stir fry and he went ahead and cut the steak into think strips and trimmed it for me! I have really enjoyed going to this market and it is now a part of our regular shopping routine. I have been a customer for a long time. It is a meat shop, what do you expect it to smell like... that hasn't stopped me from being a regular and being helped by the friendly and attentive people working there. I always get my fresh meat and poultry there and will continue to do so. They treat me with respect and are considerate enough to get me a chair when I am waiting because of my condition, which makes it impossible to stand for long. I totally love this place. This place smells, it just absolutely stinks like a mixture of bleach, fish and meat. But don't let that scare you off (if thats possible). Other than the smells, this market is a great local place to buy fresh beef. It is hard to miss, they usually have a giant tent outside in the parking lot where they sell veggies and such. On the inside they have everything you could possibly want, from ribeye steak to london broil. The prices are fair, 7.99 a pound for the for mentioned ribeye, 2.99 for the ground sirloin (better than your average grocery btw). It seems to be a hit with the locals, I stood in line for 5 minutes and for good reason. If your ever by this way stop on in and get some great steak for your Sunday cook-out, I will be back! read more

This place is awesome! I find all kinds of meat. They usually have what I need. No seafood here though. I always get the store-made Portuguese chourico if I can't go it the Portuguese bakery. They have fowl here too (which you can't find in other stores, not even at Armando's)! I've picked up some things they don't display in the glass cases like crown roast and brisket. They prepare them for you at the back. This place is very crowded during the holidays, the floors are wet, muddy or dirty. But don't let that stop you. Meat appears to be of good quality, so I really don't like that I need to only rate it 3 stars, since that is this places primary obligation to it's customer. But if you don't speak spanish, don't expect the finest quality of customer service. The butcher was very rushed, didn't much care about delivering on what you ask for (i.e. 1lb may be .7lb or 1.7lb, it's all exactly the same to him) and he actually charged me for 'filet' when I got flank, didn't notice that little gem until I got home unfortunately. So for the money, there's probably better meat markets out there for the foodie. I'm going to stick with Joe's Meat Market personally. read more

For starters, the first time I went here, it was 5 mins past their closing time and I was told from inside. I would've been thrilled had they just let me in.. C'mon, now I lived close by had it been someone from a lil far of place would've got really disappointed.. 5 mins it was, C'MON !! Anywho, I went again simply because a friend suggested it a lot. Well, the place is small but alright. They have a wide range of pork and beef. Chicken, not much. Fish totally out of question.. I did find one tray of tilapia in the freezer but the packet was frozen so much that only the label was visible..old stock I guess. Nevertheless, I bought some chicken and pork along with duck and shrimp. Did they have had more options in fish I would've been a regular ! But definitely not a great place.. If you need a quick grab for a small party then yes this place answers. Else, no biggie.. Guess, its time I put some sense into the friend's head about rightly reviewing a place..
