    Eggplant Chips

Love the eggplant chips and pizza slices were yummy! 2 of us were sharing the slices so they cut them in 2 without us having to even ask!

This is the bill of which I'm still shocked over!

Sorry Polpettina, you lost a very good customer. One that was with you during Covid we ordered a simple meal tonight. We had to pay three dollars for a piece of bread and we asked for oil. Maybe they gave us an extra 1 ounce of oil and then we got charged that special tax that nobody can explain since when did this happen very disappointed the vegetables were subpar drenched in oil. It tasted like nothing spectacular. Sorry not recommending it going forward probably won't be back.

Came here for lunch. While I waited for my friend to arrive I ordered the cauliflower as I like zatar. It was mushier than I expected but flavor was good. I prefer a crunchy cauliflower. For our main we went with the speck pie paired with white wines. We were told the smaller size was more of a personal pie so we went with the larger size. Pizza was good but very filling so we could only finish half of the pie. For dessert we went with the affogato but had to wait 20 min for the ice cream. They make it in house. It was worth the wait. Service was very good and nice ambiance. Would come back.

Nice, comfortable pizza restaurant with friendly, attentive service. All the pizzas were made fresh and tasted great. Clean place, clean, roomy bathrooms and nice views wherever you are situated.

So happy to come here after they reopened! My aunt and uncle were sweet and took me here to celebrate my (belated) birthday. Of course we had to start with the eggplant chips and the meatballs. He ordered eggplant parm for his entree, she had the chicken (ironclad?) and I had to try the cacio e pepe. Everything was delicious! The waiter overheard it was a birthday so when I ordered a brownie for dessert it came with a candle so naturally I was sung to. It was a great ending to the night :)

Very good local Italian restaurant. Only been a couple of times, but impressed with the quality of the food. Tried one of the pizzas and it was solid. Went a 2nd time for lunch and tried a few dishes to share (pork belly, brussels sprout, oysters). Everything was good. The service was very friendly. Only minor complaint is that mains were really slow to come out and it wasnt that busy at that time. Look forward to coming back in warn weather to enjoy the outdoor seating.

This owner claims that I took my google review down. However, I did not. My review was taken down because he probably requested for it to be taken down!! I would never take down a review that would be helpful for people. This wasn't about bad food. It's about the ambiance and the culture of this place. Sometimes there's off days on food but as the other reviews indicate the staff doesn't take the time to be kind and is hostile !!

Best brunch place. I frequented Polpettina (both Larchmont and Eastchester locations) while I lived in Westchester, and returned today for brunch with friends. The experience was top-notch as expected. To start, we ordered eggplant chips, naked dough and garlic knot focaccia. The eggplant chips are sliced thin and deep fried (NOT greasy) with honey drizzled and salt sprinkled over top. These are hands-down the best eggplant chips I've ever had. The naked dough dish is essentially a "bread balloon" that comes fresh out of the oven on a wire tray. Each guest can pull apart pieces and dip it into a ricotta dip. Lastly, the garlic knot bread is served like a round loaf, seasoned with crunchy "everything" flakes and a gooey cheese pull. We ordered several cocktails, I.e. French 75 (gin drink), sour cherry Bellinis, Aperol spritz and espresso martinis. Each guest was happy with their choice. For our "entree" we continued with the carbo-load trend and got pizza! We shared the vodka, pepperoni and caciocavallo. The caciocavallo left something to be desired, and that's what I was most excited for. It's a pie with prosciutto, peach jam, burrata, salted pistachio and basil. I personally feel the burrata shouldn't have been melted, rather served in big milky (cold) balls over the peach jam. I requested a side of balsamic to supplement the salty flavor of the cheese and pistachio. I think extra peach or balsamic glaze could have elevated this more. The ambience in the restaurant is perfect, with a "head nod" to New York icons, including a Yankees jersey hanging on the bathroom wall and black and white pictures of subway scenes. Of note, the playlist was perfect including hits from Two Door Cinema Club and Young the Giant. I highly suggest Polpettina if you're in the Westchester area!

This place gets 5 from me for its original tastes that most of its food has. Always crowded lets you know the food is good. Went here with some friends for drinks and food and everything was amazing. Pics attached don't do it justice because of lighting. (No fault to establishment of course) Been here few times and always left satisfied Great place to go to wether for lunch after school pizza or dinner and drinks

Amazing pizza. The selection is small, but every pie is exceptional and unique. They also have excellent specials and a great drink menu.

I opted for water as my grandson did and his fiancé order a glass of white wine. It was Sauvignon Blanc, and she found very satisfying. For an appetizer, we shared a truffle pizza. It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

The service is always stellar with a good wine menu. The ambiance is peaceful and cozy always with the Garth Road locals who are such wonderful people. But I actually came here twice this week because of their personal pizzas. The manager told me to try it and I fell in love with it, in addition to their mouth watering paella. I even stopped by there yesterday just to have a couple of glasses of wine. Knowing myself, I'll be back there this weekend or next week.

From the warm hospitality to the outstanding food, this was one of those dining experiences that leaves a lasting impression. If you're looking for a great excuse to visit midweek, be sure to stop by on Wine Wednesdays, when bottles of wine are half price. It's the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, unwind, and enjoy a leisurely Italian dinner without breaking the bank. Now, let's talk about the food. The standout of the evening was, without question, the double-cut grilled pork chop with vinegar peppers. This wasn't just a good pork chop--it was the best pork chop I've ever eaten. Expertly grilled with a beautiful char on the outside, it remained incredibly juicy and tender on the inside. It was finished with a rich brown sauce and tangy vinegar peppers that added just the right amount of acidity and depth, creating a perfectly balanced dish. The entrée included a choice of pasta or potatoes and vegetables, and I'm so glad I chose the latter. The real mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and clearly homemade, while the grilled broccoli and string beans were cooked perfectly--tender with just enough bite remaining. To start, we ordered the Clams Casino special. These were far from the typical version topped with a small amount of bacon and breadcrumbs. Each clam was generously stuffed with a flavorful seasoned breadcrumb mixture and baked to perfection. Served alongside warm seeded Italian bread, it made for an excellent beginning to the meal. The bread was fresh, crusty, and ideal for soaking up every last bit of sauce. My husband ordered the egg battered lemon sole in a white wine butter sauce, and it looked just as impressive as it tasted. The delicate fish was coated in a light egg batter that created a solid exterior while keeping the sole moist and flaky. Accompanying the dish was a generous bowl of penne tossed with garlic and oil, a simple preparation that allowed the quality of the ingredients to shine. Both entrées were served with fresh side salads dressed with a perfectly balanced oil-and-vinegar dressing. One bite immediately brought back memories of the simple, delicious salads my grandmother used to make--fresh, flavorful, and never overdressed. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a small plaza, making it feel like a hidden gem. During the warmer months, guests can take advantage of the spacious outdoor patio, complete with umbrellas and comfortable seating. It provided the perfect setting for a relaxing summer evening filled with great food, good wine, and wonderful company. I left happy, completely satisfied, and already planning my next visit. Mamma Assunta has earned its reputation over the years, and after this meal, I can confidently say it's a place I'll be returning to again and again. There is meter street parking as well as an outdoor municipal right across the street.
